I am trying to write a formula, I have 6 sets of criteria with a lower and higher range, if the number falls within the criteria I would like it to return the Alpha number,

eg, 104, will return D

I have an Excel file that quiries Google for driving distance (someone helped me with this.) It returns the correct miles but has some 'extra' characters. Example:
31.1&nb or 886&nbs

So the answer always has &nbs after the mileage. I tried the following function which works when there is a decimal but fails when there is not. =REPLACE(MID(E2,1,SEARCH("&",E2,1)-1),SEARCH(".",E2,1),1,","). Can this be done with a function or must it be VB script? Which is fine if it is.

Return Row Number That Matches 2 Criteria

I have a produced an Excel workbook which uses a VBA sign in/out userform.
Once you sign in on the Userform the sheets update. A list is completed of the times people enter and leave.

To make the code easier I currently have the name being returned to the excel sheet and performing a “match” function to return the row number. This row number is then used to carry out what I need to happen in this row. However, as you can see from attached doc (and the brief example below), based on IDnumber "2", the match function returns row 5 not row 8.
I need to have the row number returned for the IDnumber where the Out cell is blank.
This should be the last occurrance of the IDnumber

I'm trying to figure out how to write a VBA Match function that can look for multiple criteria and return the row number of a successful match.

I have about 255,000 rows of data on the worksheet "Filtered". Column B contains my Item Number and Column D contains the supply source. I want to find the row where ItemNumber and SupplySource match my variables and then return the value from Column C.

I can do a match for one criteria, but where I'm having problems is getting it so the two matches are on the same row.

I am actually trying to get a simple working formula that can take a value from the first tab and cross reference it with a table in the second tab to return another value in the first tab.

I am looking for a formula that will enable me to determine which one out of five thresholds a percentage falls within and the retuns a specific value for the corresponding threshold. Here is an example of the data (only showing three thresholds):

With four numbers, I am attempting to "return" a number that is greater than zero, EVEN IF zero is in the array. Meaning, I need the number greater zero, knowing zero is within the array. This will be a part of a much longer concatenate formula.

I tried: =abs(min(A1:D1))

This works great if there is a negative number (e.g. a -5, rather than 5 shown above), but when the numbers are all positive, the result is "0", I want 5 or the next greater number above zero.

Vba Vlookup And Return Row Number

I am trying to create a macro and I need it to return the row # based on a vlookup of a date and not 100% sure how to do that.. Hoping to get a little assistance.

I am looking up a date in column A, and need it to return the row #, then I can do the rest of the macro I need. The date I need to look up varies, and is based on the following function I have in a cell elsewhere, but if there is an easier way in vba to write i'm open:

=IF(WEEKDAY(TODAY())=2,TODAY()-3,TODAY()-1)
which basically says if it's monday lookup the date from 3 days ago (friday), otherwise look up yesterday's date. So today it returns 6/8/09 and I need to find the row that has 6/8/09 as the value in column A.

Now the dates in column a, are all formulas that say previous row's date + 1, so the only row that has the actual date in it is the very first one, then we just add a day. Not sure if that matters, but figured I'd give all info.
