I have a master sheet and various other tabs with IF statements where if certain cells on the master sheet contain my predefined criteria they pull over all the data from that line on the master sheet.
Here is the formula:
However data in A is hyperlinked - how can I ensure that carried over to the other tabs as a link?
I am tring to create an excel spreadsheet used to track loan numbers that we will scann to excel, the date it was scanned and then scan the tracking code and place that in a seperate location. I have done some preliminary work but am running into a a few issues. I need to copy the tracking number to each loan number it is relitive for example we would scan 10 files then scan the tracking number and that tracking number would be copied on each line of record. I also need to creadte a code to identify if it is a tracking number not to imput the info in the field.
I have a Workbook which I'm trying to apply the following VBA to (the moment Sheet11 is opened):
If Sheets("Sheet11").Range("B8:B372")=Sheets("Sheet8").Range("F1") - Dates Sheets("Sheet8").Range("L24").Copy - Numbers Sheets("Sheet11").Range("B8:B372").PasteSpecial PasteValues.Offset(0,1) (paste into relevant cell in Column C) Else, 0
I would then like the relevant cell in Column D to be activated. IE: Offset(0,2) so the user can then enter their relevant data - more numbers.
I have three IF statements as below. the problem is if the first statement is true I want it to skip the next two statements or the result will be changed again.
DATE A B C D E 2/22/2008TRUEFALSEFALSEFALSERon 2/23/2008FALSETRUETRUETRUEPhill 2/24/2008FALSETRUEFALSEFALSETracy 2/25/2008FALSEFALSEFALSEFALSESharon 2/26/2008TRUETRUEFALSETRUEBill
On sheet two I need to list any date that has three or more true statements with the coresponding name.
I am trying to copy a table from webpage including hyperlink, so far i was successful to import table from webpage to excel, but in that i have hyperlinks, i want that hyperlink as well, how to proceed.
Code: Sub TableExample() Dim IE As Object Dim doc As Object Dim strURL As String
strURL = "HERE I USED MY URL" ' replace with URL of your choice
Set IE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")
I have a large list of values that only 1 value will be select at a time. I want to be able to click on the cell and have the value in the cell copied to another cell. Exactly like a link, but I need the data to go with it. In this case, a drop down box won't work.
I have created a Macro that lists and creates links of all the Excel Documents in a Directory (500+). I would like to extract from each of those files data from a single cell on a certain sheet. (The sheet and cell are the same in each of these files). The code I have written opens each of these files, copies the data and pastes the value in the column next to each sheet. This is a very time consuming task because of the shear volume. I feel that there is a better way to do this, I'm just not seeing it. If you could come up with a way to create this as a reference that would be great too instead of having to rebuild the entire list if the data changes. Here is the code I have written.
Sub Test2() ' Select cell A1, *first line of data*. Range("A1").Select ' Set Do loop to stop when an empty cell is reached. Do Until IsEmpty(ActiveCell) Selection.Hyperlinks(1).Follow NewWindow:=False, AddHistory:=True Sheets("Contact Information").Activate ActiveSheet.Range("B8").Select Selection.Copy ActiveWindow.Close ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1).Select PasteSpecial zlPasteValues ActiveCell.Offset(1, -1).Select Loop End Sub
I have a workbook that has 2 worksheets. Sheet1 has a data table that is filled from an SQL database. I would like the first column of the data table to have each cell be a hyperlink. The destination of the hyperlink is Sheet2, cell A2. I would like to modify the hyperlink, so that when the user clicks on the hyperlink, the text-display of the hyperlink is copied into sheet2 cell A2. Initially, I thought this was simple. I added the event code shown below:
[Code] ........
This worked, however there was a problem. I manually added the hyperlink to all cells in column1 of sheet1. However, this made the TextToDisplay property the value of the first cell for all hyperlinks. So, solution to add hyperlinks to all cells in the first column, with TextToDisplay property set for each individual cell. What is the best way to do this with the fact that the number of rows in column1 will vary as the size of the SQL query changes?
I'm currently working on a problem that I'm having with Hyperlinks. Basically I want to copy the destination data that the hyperlink points to onto another sheet.
The main problem I'm having here is that I cant seem to find a suitable method to do this....I had the idea of using the hyperlink.follow function and then copying the data once I'm there and then moving back to the source hyperlink. My only problem with that is that I dont know how to find the cell address that the hyperlink is in, once I have found that hyperlink.
Therefore my question is two-fold:
- Is there a way to copy the destination data using some sort of hyperlink function? - If not, is there a way to find the cell address within a worksheet, once a hyperlink is found on that worksheet?
I've attached the spreadsheet below to give a better idea of what Im doing, along with the "findHyperlinks" macro, within that workbook, that I am currently working on.
I have this code that looks through my worksheet once the conditions are met it will email, and in column "M" I put a hyperlink to where the document is stored. All works as far as the email format, even grabs the hyperlink but its not clickable in the email.
Here is the code.
I am outlook 07 and vista 07.
Option Explicit Const Startingrow = 11 'Data starts on row ## Const AlarmDelay = 183 'send warning Sub CheckTimeLeftFac() 'References needed : 'Microsoft Outlook Object Library
Dim i As Long Dim j As Long Dim msg As Long Dim Lastrow As Long Dim WhoTo As String Dim SubjectLine As String Dim MessageBody As String Dim olMail As Outlook.MailItem Dim olApp As Outlook.Application Dim strLink As String
I have hyperlinks betwene one worksheet to another - they only only hyperlinked thourh column & rows (eg: A100) etc. How can I lock these hyperlinks but still allow users to insert new rows without losing their place?
I am having a slight problem copying hyperlinks. I have written some code that sorts data by date and then creates a simple diary. It originally placed the name of the event in the new diary sheet. What I would like to do is instead of copying the name into this new sheet copy a hyperlink that I have created to the company's website for that event.
I can create the hyperlink using hyperlink(B1,A1) where A1 is the company name and B1 is the web address but since the new sheet will not have the underlying data I need to actually copy the values and format of the hyperlink rather than the formula.
I have a hyperlink cell. Straightforward copying and pasting it to another cell works well, with the new cell replicating the hyperlink. However, if I try to copy the hyperlink cell to a range of cells (say B1 to B5), at first it looks ok, but once I click one of them, it appears they are all clicked. And if I delete one of the cells in the range, say B3, ALL cells within that range loses its hyperlink. It looks like all of these hyperlinks are referencing one another, but once I delete one cell, the rest loses its hyperlink (the words are still there). At the current time, I have to copy into the range individually (copy to B1, then B2, then B3...etc), but this becomes a hassle if I have a large range.
I have an Excel 2003 file that contains hyperlinks to OneNote notebooks on a Sharepoint site. An Excel macro looks for these links and determines the full hyperlink address which is then assigned to a variable. An Outlook message is generated which includes the hyperlinks.
The hyperlinks work in the Excel file. I can also copy them from OneNote and manually paste them into an Outlook message and they work. However, when I obtain their full address and transfer that to the email through code, the links do not work. The hyperlink address from OneNote starts with "onenote:http" which is not recognized as a link.
If I can do this manually, there must be a way to do this with vba. Are there characters I need to include in the OneNote hyperlink address to make this work? Is there another way to transfer the working link from Excel to Outlook?
I've been working on a macro that makes copies of a template sheet based on a table in my Opps sheet. If column B isn't empty, make a copy of the template sheet, rename it to Opps column A, and then hyperlink column A's current A.row to the newly copied and renamed sheet.
I'm not sure what is wrong exactly, it keeps making duplicate Template(x) and stops renaming them, and the hyperlinks are not working. -This is my first go at VBA hyperlinks to internal workbook sheets
My formula is not working correctly; not sure what to do. I use this same formula with numbers and it seem to work, but only have 8 IF statements as well. This example below doesn't even work with only 8 IF statements. -------------------------------------------------- What I am saying below is = If E3 = a swat team (i.e. EO-Deal Processing-Prescreen) then please enter "Chumbley" and so on. For anything else put an na or n/a for blanks or swat teams that I haven't lised in the criteria. ---------------------------------------------------
I made a combo box where the user selects a part in a combo box and I want the part selected to be stored in a certain cell. The first selection would be stored in C15 and if thats not empty then in D15 and if thats not empty then in E15 and if thats not empty then in F15.
Dim m As Integer m = cboPart.ListIndex
If m = 0 Then If IsEmpty(ActiveCell.Range("C15")) = True Then ActiveCell.Range("C15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName Else ActiveCell.Range("D15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName End If Else If IsEmpty(ActiveCell.Range("D15")) = False Then ActiveCell.Range("E15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName Else ActiveCell.Range("F15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName End If
End If
When I run this if-and-else statement it stops storing the selected data after the following:
If IsEmpty(ActiveCell.Range("C15")) = True Then ActiveCell.Range("C15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName Else ActiveCell.Range("D15") = cboPart.Value & vbLf & "Name: " + txtName End If
I got a 2 columns (A:B) with values in workbook1 (survey2.xlsm)
I want to open a sheet named according to values from column A wb1 in workbook2 (du_database2)
And I want to fill in the offset values (column B) in the aproppriate sheet
I wrote this sub for it. I am having troubles with the for each statements (how do I set them up properly?). The script itself hasn't been checked might also been wrong there.
VB: Sub copytest() 'by J Dim ws As Worksheet Workbooks.Open "survey2.xlsm" Application.Workbooks("du_database2.xlsm").Activate
I'm using vlookups within IF statements to look in a number of various speadsheets depending on what the lookup value is.
So for example,
Formula:
This works well enough however I need some look up values to look in multiple spreadsheets as the data is split out between several spreadsheets. So for example, if B1=Hello I want to vlookup to 2 different spreadsheets.
I know I could do two instances of a vlookup within the formula, both for "hello" but looking to different spreadsheets. But doesn't this mean that if the first vlookup finds the value, the second one will overright it with an "#N/A" if it doesn't find it?
