If Target Equals To 0 Then Delete Specific Cells On Same Row?
Mar 14, 2014I'm Trying to write a code to delete Value in Column E & F If value in Column A = 0. (same row)
I've tried a few methods but none of them work.

I'm trying to input a check into my macro. Basically the logic I'm trying to follow is:
If Row 1 = Row 2 then delete row 2,
ElseIf Row 1 Row 2 then Display MsgBox "Row 1 and Row 2 are different. Do you wish to continue?"
If user selects yes, resume
If user selects no, end sub and display MsgBox "Macro ended. Please correct changes manually"
I am familiar with the macro DeleteRowOnCell, but I want to delete rows when a cell in a selected column has a formulae which is returning empty text. I tried the macro DeleteRowsFastest without success.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have six images in "Sheet3" I want a macro to copy and paste image one if cell A3 = 0. How do I know the "name" of each picture so I can change the image based on the value?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a row range 5:20004. In that row range column R may have 'QLD' in the cell.
I am trying to delete all rows within that range that have QLD in column R or delete the row if R <> 'NSW' (would be a better way just in case there is something other than QLD)
to do this on opening the file automatically.
Basically, I have a table of data and I want to make a VBA coding so that Any row with "cell value = 0 in column C" will be deleted.
But I can't get my code working and i don't know why. There's no error pop up either.
Any VBA code to delete rows in a subtotalled list?
The subtotal line and the associated rows should be deleted when subtotal equals zero.
HTML Code:
Sub DeleteEmptyColumns2()
Dim Cell As Range
For Each Cell In Range("4:4")
If Cell = "0" Then
Cell.EntireColumn.Delete
End If
Next Cell
End Sub
I am attempting to remove columns in my table of data, using the above code seems to remove some them but not all, is this the best way to loop through a range?
I've seen a few examples of macros to delete the row if the first letter is something, but not if the first 2 is equal to something.
I'm looking to go thru every row that contains data and look in Column B to see if it starts with P4 or P5. If that's true, then delete the entire row.
Not sure if this is better suited for a macro or done via conditional formatting.
Trying to empty a standard template we use and of a certain range I need to empty all cells not containing N/A (typed not error).
If I have a column of data called "ColStream" and want to delete all rows that don't contain the string "Production", whats the best way to achieve it?
I have tried a for each loop, with INSTR but as this moves down a cell from the cell whose row has just been deleted, skipping the "NEXT" row in the range, it doesn't give the correct results.
Incidentally, the end game is to copy all the remaining cells to the cell immediately below a cell called "StreamsDatabaseStart" in a worksheet called "ProdStreams" should anyone out there be feeling particularly charitable!
I have employee numbers in two ranges of cells where the employee number will have alpha and numeric (ASAZ002000). The first is a range of “target” employees we need to look at.(A4:A20). The second range will be all employees of the company that the target list needs to check in for the specific target employee(s).(G4:G25). If a “target” employee is found within the range of all (G4:G25) – highlight cell red (G4:G25). I have attached a small file that might explain it better.

I wanted to ask how to delete a specific range of data in a cell range using VBA
Here is a snipit of code I currently have:
Sname1 = Sheets("Numbers").Range("FX3").Value 'FX3 = cell F starting column letter
Range(Sname1 & Range("FR7").Value).Select 'FR7 = row number
If I added the following:
Sname2 = Sheets("Numbers").Range("FX4").Value 'FX4 = cell n ending column letter
Changed the code to the following: obviously this code is incorrect below:
Range(Sname1 & Range("FR7").Value) : Range(Sname2 & Range("FR7").Value).Select
I need a VBA to delete rows with blank cells within columns F - AZ
Columns A - E contain headers but also need to be deleted if cells in columns F -AZ are blank.
Each week I run a report that produces over 2,000 rows. I have to manually go through and delete things, by the time I am done, there may only be 320 rows left. I would apply a recorded macro, but the report is not consistent each week. There may be more or fewer rows depending on the week.
I would like to be able to run a macro that looks in column B for a specific value and if it contains that specific value, I would like the cells to the right of it to have their contents cleared.
Next, in column C, I have...
Employee2's Name
Employee2's Number
SPACE
[Code]....
I would like to be able to delete the rows, starting from Employee 2 to just before the second SUB TOTAL.
So, all I would have left in column C is
SUB TOTAL
SPACE

View 2 Replies View RelatedI need a macro that can look at multiple (say three) rows and delete those rows if they match another three rows in the worksheet.
For example:
1 0
3 1
5 7
4 4
6 5
8 3
1 8
5 2
3 9
6 5
8 3
1 8
7 5
If three rows are the same, then one set is deleted (it can be either bottom or top set). I would like to do this for rows 1-500 in the worksheet.
Currently I am using the Kickbutt VBA Find Function of Aaron, but I would like to have something that works more efficiently. What I currently do is (assuming all possible values for Column J are A - F):
Find_Range("A", Columns("J"), MatchCase:=True).EntireRow.Delete
Find_Range("B", Columns("J"), MatchCase:=True).EntireRow.Delete
Find_Range("C", Columns("J"), MatchCase:=True).EntireRow.Delete
Find_Range("D", Columns("J"), MatchCase:=True).EntireRow.Delete
Find_Range("E", Columns("J"), MatchCase:=True).EntireRow.Delete
although I just want some code that says: delete all rows except those that have "F" as content in Column J. I already tried something like:
Range("1:65536").Select
For Each cl In Range("J:J")
If cl.Text = "A" Or cl.Text = "B" Or cl.Text = "C" Or cl.Text = "D" Or cl.Text = "E" Then
Rows(cl.Row).Delete
End If
Next
but it also takes much to long. The major problem I think, is that the number of records is variable so I search the entire worksheet...
I have some data like the following:
2 3 4 8 4 1 3 3 1 8 1 3 5 8 1 2 5 6 1 7 9 3 3
I would like to be able to count the number of times 1 follows 8 for example. For the data above the answer is 2.
I'm trying to create macro that will clear the contents of the cells in the 4 columns to the left of a cell that = 0 %, as well as the cell that = 0%. For example, if cell F13 = 0 % then the contents of B13:F13 would need to be cleared. The range in which data is being pasted into is B13:F27.

Dim DateSuffix As String
Select Case Day(Target.Value)
Case 1, 21, 31

Case 4 To 30

I have some data in sheet 1 column A. However, the amount of data varies everytime. In addition, blanks cells may be present in column A as well.
I have some data in sheet 2 column A. The amount of data also varies everytime. In addition, blank cells maybe present as well.
what I need here is to match the values in column A sheet 1 to column A sheet 2, and if it matches to delete the entire row in sheet 1.
However, i want to keep all blank cells in column A sheet 1.
Sheet 2 blank cells to be removed if any.
how do I do that in VBA? A lot of forums talk about a specific value but none on non specific values.
I need a code that will delete a row if it has a specific text in a specific column.
In this case in column W if there is anything that starts with '>TC' I need that entire row deleted that its in.
I am trying to look through a multiple selection of cells (in Target range) and compare to see if these are Integer. I am failing to be able to cylce through the selected cells and check their value. I am sure it is VB 101 issue... but I am lost at cracking it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to run a macro anytime cells G2, J2, M2, O2, P2, S2, V2, Y2, AB2, AE2, AH2, AK2, AN2, AQ2 change.
Right now I have the below code which is working well, but I only have it set for G2. Do you know what the notation is to make the target range multiple cells?
Also, I use the xlDown command in my sorting code, but later on it reverts back to "A5:AT60"... is there any way I can remove these specific cell references? I want to avoid having to re-write the macro every time my selection shrinks or expands.
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) If Not Intersect(Target, Range("G2")) Is Nothing Then
Rows("5:5").Select
[Code]....
I have a target range for a worksheet change. Then when finished I highlight the data and press 'delete' I get an error within the code.
