Macro To Delete Rows When Subtotal Equals To Zero

Any VBA code to delete rows in a subtotalled list?
The subtotal line and the associated rows should be deleted when subtotal equals zero.
I need a macro that can look at multiple (say three) rows and delete those rows if they match another three rows in the worksheet.
For example:
1 0
3 1
5 7
4 4
6 5
8 3
1 8
5 2
3 9
6 5
8 3
1 8
7 5
If three rows are the same, then one set is deleted (it can be either bottom or top set). I would like to do this for rows 1-500 in the worksheet.
I have a large spreadsheet with 25 columns.
I need a macro to delete prior rows if SUBTOTAL in column K equal zero.

There are more age groups, & some groups have hundreds of lines. Each of the total line in the report has a number plugged in by the system, which, because of rounding, may be off by several cents. I figured out how to move the rows with Broker File Numer, etc & the row after it up above the first Age Range.
What I need to do next is:Delete all rows between "Age Range: ....." and the start of that range's data.Delete all blank rows between "Totals" and the next "Age Range: ...."Delete 5 rows after "Grand Total"Put a formula in the row immediately above each age range's "Totals" for each column, summing all the data for that column, in that age range. (Hopefully with the word Total in column B of that row, too)Put a formula in the row immediately above the "Totals" after "Grand Total" that adds together each of the Age Range totals.(I did figure out how to get the "Balance" cell in each row to sum that row going right to left, so at least I got a start! For that I'm using
Code:
LR = Range("C" & Rows.count).End(xlUp).Row
With Range("R10:R" & LR)
.NumberFormat = "#,##0.00_);[Red](#,##0.00)"
.HorizontalAlignment = xlRight
.VerticalAlignment = xlTop
.FormulaR1C1 = "=IF(ISNUMBER(RC3), Sum(RC5:RC17), " & Chr(34) & Chr(34) & ")"
End With
I've seen a few examples of macros to delete the row if the first letter is something, but not if the first 2 is equal to something.
I'm looking to go thru every row that contains data and look in Column B to see if it starts with P4 or P5. If that's true, then delete the entire row.
I'm trying to input a check into my macro. Basically the logic I'm trying to follow is:
If Row 1 = Row 2 then delete row 2,
ElseIf Row 1 Row 2 then Display MsgBox "Row 1 and Row 2 are different. Do you wish to continue?"
If user selects yes, resume
If user selects no, end sub and display MsgBox "Macro ended. Please correct changes manually"
I am familiar with the macro DeleteRowOnCell, but I want to delete rows when a cell in a selected column has a formulae which is returning empty text. I tried the macro DeleteRowsFastest without success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a row range 5:20004. In that row range column R may have 'QLD' in the cell.
I am trying to delete all rows within that range that have QLD in column R or delete the row if R <> 'NSW' (would be a better way just in case there is something other than QLD)
to do this on opening the file automatically.
I'm Trying to write a code to delete Value in Column E & F If value in Column A = 0. (same row)
I've tried a few methods but none of them work.
Basically, I have a table of data and I want to make a VBA coding so that Any row with "cell value = 0 in column C" will be deleted.
But I can't get my code working and i don't know why. There's no error pop up either.
HTML Code:
Sub DeleteEmptyColumns2()
Dim Cell As Range
For Each Cell In Range("4:4")
If Cell = "0" Then
Cell.EntireColumn.Delete

I am attempting to remove columns in my table of data, using the above code seems to remove some them but not all, is this the best way to loop through a range?
I want to delete the rows containing a subtotal of zero and the rows above it related to that grouping.
PO numbers are assigned to the data so the grouping is on the PO number column.
The subtotal numbers are two columns over.
The workbook is close to excel's row limit so I want to eliminate the PO rows that have zeroed out. So, the row with the value of zero and the rows with the same PO number.
Need to solve my problem in the thread "Type Mismatch Error Message". Now a new problem has come up in the same code, so - according to the rules - I've started a new thread. (This one is most likely due to my poor knowledge of VBA syntax).

View 9 Replies View Relatedmacro to delete certain rows from a sheet based on the value of a cell?
I'm tryin to get it so if the value in "F" is NOT 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, then i want that row deleted.
this should leave me with data that contains either 150 - 154 in column F.
I have a table of data A2:H1000 (this gets longer every week). Within that data every so often i have a row which is blank from A:G, but has a value in H.
I want to create some code that checks the rows and if the cell A in the row is blank, to delete the entire row.
If I have a table (see below), is it possible to create a macro to delete rows that do not have defined data. In the example below, I would want to delete rows 4 through 7 as there is no date in Columns B through D.

2 2009 500 600 700
3 2010 800 900 1000
4 2010
5 2011

I have a sheet with a couple thousand rows of data. I need to calculate the subtotal sum for the first 50 rows of auto-filtered data. I can't seem to figure out the formula that I would need to have to do this automatically. If for example my filtered data the 50th visible row is row 1300, currently i can write a formula "SUBTOTAL(9,Q1:Q1300) but if the filtering changes I would have to go and change the formula to replace Q1300 with QX, where X is the new 50th visible row number. I know there must be at least one way to do it automatically but it seems to be beyond my current skill level.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a large file and I am doing a subtotal here. I want to do further processing of the "subtotal" data (basically, I want to sort the list on the subtotalled sum values) and I would like to know if there is any method to delete all rows except the "subtotal" rows from the sheet other than the method described here, in another post in 2003.
Copy subtotals only - visible cells too complicated [SOLVED]
This works fine but I have the word Total in some of the columns I am sub-totalling.
Also, some of the entries in that column are very long strings to start with and when the subtotal is made by Excel, the details are truncated (probably to 255 characdters) and the word Total is not there.
i have an excel sheet with columns including city & order value. i want to group rows with the same city name, and then subtotal the order values for each city. how do i do this?
View 10 Replies View RelatedI would like to insert rows below each of the subtotals in column D and F in the attached sheet. The current code I am using can only add rows according to one column. I don't know how to modify it so that it works on both columns. Also, when rows are added according to column D, the new inserted rows are filled with colors and I don't know how to remove. Lastly, how can I run this marco in multiple sheets?
Sub InsertRows()

Dim rRw As Range
Set rRw = Range("D1")

I have a formula that does exactly what I need , it fetches negative stocks from sheet 1 , but the formula places the data exactly on the same row where the negative is , thus there are a lot of in between data not required , Yes I can copy paste special values and remove blank rows , but the macro will do it faster

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhat I need is a macro to delete a row or rows for a specific range of cells (eg. E20 to E58) when the cells in that range column E is = blank. The cells in column E is formated with a currency sign $. Deleting the row should shift up all rows below. I need to run this macro manually. Excel 2002 SP3.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI have attached a worksheet to illustrate a "Before" (raw data) and "After" (desired results).
Each row contains data on a forex trade. The variables which must be assessed in each row are:
Currency Pair (e.g. GBP/USD).
Opening Time
Closing Time
What I need to do is delete many rows in the raw data because they reflect a condition I do not want in my analysis, which is having multiple open trades of a single currency pair during the same time period.
To perform my analysis I need to delete all trades (rows) which meet the above condition.
The worksheet provides examples, along with a rudimentary tool I've used to help me sort/delete rows manually.
Since I am looking at thousands of trades, a manual sort/delete is impractical. (my eyes don't like this kind of work!)
The rudimentary tool I've used in manual sorts/deletes is simply to have a column which returns a "1" if a trade opens before an older trade has closed. I do this by first sorting the data by (a) currency pair then (b) date opened. Then I must manually go through multiple iterations of deleting trades until there all of the "1's" have disappeared.
I'm hoping someone can show me a macro which might do this sorting/testing/deleting automatically, at least to the point where all I have to do is repeatedly press a "macro" button until there are no "1's"
