I need to create a line graph that has 2 lines for each person, one with the amount, one with the points. The X-Axis is by Weeks going up. How can I do this without making a separate series for each? I've attached an example.

I have been trying to chart temperature differences over 10 day's time for six cities using a line graph. For some reason, the lines are all clustered at the bottom of my graph, with values of 0. My spreadsheet is accurate, without any blank cells. I'm using Excel 2010.

A short example:
Imagine you own 3 different stores and you're selling oranges. So your table looks like this:

Now I'd like to have one graph (3 different graphs won't work as the rows increase -I need to select the whole column as data source):
Date on the x axis,
Oranges sold on the y axis,
and one line per store (e.g. a green one for store A, a red one for B and a blue one of C, doesn't matter).
I would like to know how I can get excel to randomly select one line of data for each of the people listed below (so one for bob, one for jenny, one for Trish etc.). I have been trying a mixture of vlookup and rand but to no avail, below is just a sample list but I would like to try it on a large set of data. I have been able to get a random transaction but not one for each person.

With the attached spreadsheet i cannot workout how with the line graph not to continue the line if there is nothing in row 10 of the table.
for eaxmple if there is no value in cell M10, i would like the actual addtion line to stop at the last value on the graph that was in L10.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI'm having trouble combining three lines into one. I'm trying to do a daily weight chart and the x-axis is days of month, and the y-axis is the weight. I have 3 rows for the weight (one red line for weight going up from previous day, one green if the weight goes down from previous day, and one yellow line for equal). I want to make the three into one showing the colors. Right now all they are are vertical lines and are not connected.

I made a graph with thousand of points, but the lines which make the curves are too thick and so I can't see exactly where they intersect. I would like to make them thinner.

And can create a scatter diagram fine. However, I've been asked if it's possible to show on the graph, for each point a line to it's respective X and Y co-ordinate. For example, for row 4 (in red), on the same scatter graph, I'd like there to be two lines for this point,
Line1 drawn from (0.1, 0) to (0.1, 0.26) and
Line2 drawn from (0,0.26) to (0.1,0.26)
I know it's possible to overlap graphs in Excel, but I can't find how to achieve this with scatter plots
So on a primary 'y' axis against I have plotted some stacked clusters (3 categories, each with 2 columns and 2 stacks) and now I want to add a percentage line on a secondary 'y' axis to show the % rates for each category.
How do I plot them? I don't want to use Jon Peltiers utility, as I already have it, but still don't know how to use it to achieve the view.
I have an excel worksheet that contains two sets of data. These numbers are then plotted onto a line graph to show the two sets of data against each other.
The graph is working fine, but only for a specific amount of data. The data is split into mutiple lines. From cells A1 all the way to BI1 is one row. I then have information in A4 to BI4. I would like to plot this information on a graph as a single continuous line. Is this possible?
Basically, My graph source is currently =Data!$A$2:$BI$3. This gives me two lines that I want. How do I get the data from A4:BI4 to join up to the first line in the graph.
I have a file sheet named "ratio summary." The data to this is linked to a number of different working sheets (not in the attachment for obvious reasons)
Currently the data in the ratio summary is grouped by year but "open" and the Graph worksheet is automatically linked to the data in row11.
However when I group the data by year (i.e. clicking the "-" figure) the graph also changes.
I haven't deleted the data so don't understand why the graph data is changing.

I have 2 columns in Excel wich havn't the same amount of lines.
One colom is 65.000 lines and the other one is 64.000
I am looking for a option to delete 1 line after each 65 lines.

Well they want the graph to always show one month ahead of where we are out. So there is actuals in for Sep. but then the line graph drops all the way to 0 for Oct. I don't want to have the graph bottom out when there is a zero. Does anyone know how to fix this?

First of all I would like to insert 2 lines under line 6 in the active sheet.
I then need to drag the formulas found in line 6 down over the two new lines.

I import data into an excel spreadsheet where a unique job number may have multiple costs against it. These import as separate lines, repeating the job number.
The data imports on a sheet called 'DataImport'. From that sheet I transfer some of the imported fields onto another sheet.
What I need to be able to do is transfer the job number and a sum of the costs onto the other sheet.
The data is run regularly and I delete all the fields on the DataImport sheet in the macro each time the import is run.
We are trying to create a stacked bar graph with an average line. Each time we try to add in the average data to the graph it adds it to the stacked bar. The stacked bar should represent the inpatient & outpatient cases at a hospital for the current year (months showing across the as columns). The line should represent the previous 2-yr average total. Anyone have an idea how to add a line to the stacked bar graph? It has us stumped.

Currently, I have plotted the high, mid, low lines and made them dashed. What I would like to do instead of just having these ranges shown as lines (w/ the graph background showing), is use the area graph function to color shade just the area between the high, mid, and low. Once per week I update our inventory quantity in cells B1, B2, B3. I'd like to show these quantities on a graph which compares the quantity with the date. I have a line graph. If "Week9:Week13" have no value, my graphs line drops to 0. How do I make my line graph show no value when no value is inputed for "Week9:Week13"? I think I need to incorporate the =NA() in the original formula but I'm not sure how to do this.
