Macro - If Cell In Column Is Blank Then Input Text Into Same Row In Another Column

I am looking for a Macro that will search a column for blank cells, and when one is found will add text to the same row in another column. For example: The below is a spreadsheet. I am trying to find something that will search through column "C" in this case and add text (of my choice) to Column "A" if the cell is Blank. So Since cell C1 is Blank then Type "ERROR" is cell A1.

This macro is extreemly basic but i have no skills in excel with macros. Basically i have 'Column A' with stats that i need input into 'Column B', however i need then to be input inside a field that is already there.....
I'm having to re-learn formula commands in order to continue to use my spreadsheets (I had tried to get the Quattro Pro converter to work in Excel 2003 with no success). Actually, I would have stayed with QP since I find it much more user friendly, but with Excel being the standard spreadsheet that most people use, I figured I better get used to it. Anyway, I'm currently trying to find out how I might get the same text that shows up in varying cells in an otherwise blank column (other cells contain formulas, but no text) to also show up in another fixed cell (which can be where I put this formula).
I have a workbook that usually looks something like this

I need to find a way to copy the category below an empty row from column A and paste it in the blank row in column B . If possible to bolden the text but I could probably work that bit out myself. I'm new to this but have used VBA before to run macros.
I am trying to write a macro that will do a bunch of stuff then go to the next blank cell in a particular column.
The rest of the code for the macro is irrelevant I just don't know how to code it to find the next blank cell in the column. It could be anywhere from cell A2 to A1000000. Basically I want the macro to select the cell that is next on the list to enter data into.
I need a VBA macro for filling the blank cells in whole column "D" with some conditions.This condition work for whole column.

I was used "if" condition but I can't able to run.
This is for a template for teachers to analyze student testing data. On sheet4, wrong answers in each column are noted by a lack of a + in the corresponding cell. I want to paste the names of the students who missed each question into sheet 5.
I've done it by repeating a filter macro, but I manually copied the following separately for the 75 columns in the template.
Problem #1 - there must be a more efficient code, something that automatically loops to the next column
Problem #2 - the template has 75 columns, but many tests have fewer questions. I'm trying to find a way to stop the loop whenever it hits a blank cell in Row 10 on sheet 4. I've done it with an if/then in the last section on the above code, but where I'm at now, i would have to add that to the code section for each column. Which isn't that big a deal, but I figure there must be a better way.

I have a macro I found here on the boards written by Lenze to delete an entire row based on what is found in column A. I would like to delete any row where Col. B contains 10 or less characters and I have modified it to do so (or at least I think it does). My problem is that it takes about 12 minutes to run the macro (I have about 50k lines to run through). I was wondering if this is the fastest method or if it examines things other than just column B.

The columns are generally in the format of text followed by a numeric column. An individual text column has the same name through all of the rows. The numeric columns have varied values whether negative or positive. Ideally what I would like: If a given cell (ie. C2) in Row 2 is numeric, then copy the cell to the left (ie. B2) into (ie. C1) and then delete Column B. I need this to work for multiple columns from B to C, skip D and E, and then from F to AG (and maybe beyond).
I have been working with a few people on here to setup a macro to copy text from a column of cells to another column and then print this in to a text document but it seams to have got stuck in a loop ....
I have a macro that copies data from one sheet to another. I would like getting the macro to figure last row used in column B from B3 on and put the word Sum below it. For example, if last row used is B64, on B65 would like the word sum on it.
I cannot just input in as the number of rows could change when macro is run. Data is dynamic.

I am trying to clean up and simplify my macros by compartmentalizing frequently repeated commands. I like to search for text in column headings and define the cell containing it as a range that I can later use .column or .row commands on, so my macros are a bit more flexible. The code I currently use for this is

I would like to be able to create a Macro (possibly name FindSetCell()) that will accept arguments and achieve the results of the above code in other macros I think the command might look something like FindSetCell(“text to be searched for”,”name of newly Defined Range”) But I have not figured out how to code it
In my "cover" sheet I click the allocate cover button and it then generates a list of data below the first table. This generated data now needs to update the "timetable" sheet by using the "allocated cover teacher" and "period" cells as a reference to then input the class code into the timetable at this time.

So in this picture we see that Dorothy*Schultz (in cell E27) has been given a class 3 MABA RM 15(cell D27) on TuesdayP1 (C27). I want search for Dorothy*Schultz and TuesdayP1 in the "timetable" tab to input the name of the class which in this instance would be input to cell I20 in the "timetable tab".
I would like to delete a column using data validation list. for example :
i have a data validation INPUT list in cell A1 (Part No., Supplier 1, Supplier 2, Supplier 3) the heading start from B2,C2,D2,E2,F2. If user select Supplier 1 from data validation list in cell A1, the column Supplier 1 [c2] should be deleted.
And/or also if in cell B1 have a data validation INPUT row list (Part no.) & if user select part no., the selected part no. row should be deleted.
I am trying to make a macro that will query a column J4 for a date, if the date is found say "Wednesday, July 4, 2012" (J8) get the text from Column K8 "Independence Day" and insert the text in Cell (H1).
The Macro Prints sign in sheets with the date in H2, it only prints Monday through friday. Then skips the weekend and the next date will start the following Monday.
The Federal Holiday schedule is in column range J (Date) and K (Holiday)
I have 02 separate excel workbooks 01 = source file 02 = data list
The workbook "source file" contains all the data The workbook "data list" contains data for work with Drop-down list. And i can easily select my required description by just dropping down the list.
In case, i have new description i add it in the source file and it is updated in the working "data list" sheet.
This applies to Field device column also. But i want to improve the selection criteria by creating such script or formula which could check the input of the description and automatically selects the field device and its relevant signal (output type).

I have a spreadsheet with three columns (A,B,C). I want the third column C to be column A - B (A minus B) for each row, but only if there is a value in column B.
If there is no value in column B, then I want that row in Column C to just stay blank.
I would like to search Column C for an instance of the text "Std. Residual", then cycle through the non blank cells to the right and run some formatting code:

I then want to search for the next instance of "Std. Residual" in Column C, do the same again, and so on for the entire Worksheet.
I would like a macro to do this...If a cell in column G is blank and the cell in the same row in column C is NOT blank, highlight the blank cell in column G Red.
I need the search to stop ONLY when it gets down to the bottom-most row of data in column A.
Note: Any row headers will always be in row 1 only
I am trying to come up with a code that will copy column A entirely, and insert the copied cells into the first blank column. In the columns with information in them, there will always be text in the first cell, so that can be used as the test to find the first blank column, but I'm not sure how to get this done for my macro.
Is there a way to reference a cell value instead of using a static value for col_index_num? For example - Instead of telling it to look in the 5th column of Sheet2, I would like it to look in the column were the heading (row 2) in Sheet2 is equal to the value of O2 in Sheet1.
