Excel 2010 :: How To Assign Macro From One Sheet To Form Button On Different Sheet
Mar 6, 2014I am running excel 2010 with windows 7. I created a macro in sheet 1 and I wish to activate the macro from sheet 2 using a form button. I have entered the code below. I know how to perform this function on a more simple macro like adding names to cells. This code is a bit more complex I just dont know where to start.

Button Corresponding With Macro Located On Different Sheet Than Data
Aug 11, 2009I currently have a button on a worksheet that loads a userform. I have code written that's not in a in a separate module but in the user form itself. It uses the information entered on the user form screen. When I try to reference data that's on a sheet other than the one that the button is located on, I get a "select method of range class failed" error. I assume that this problem has to do with the button macro being located on a different sheet than the data. Is there an easy fix?

This works fine, my only problem is if the button that is created is actually named Button2 or 3, etc. Is there a way to assign the new button to a variable, or would it be an object? this way it wouldn't matter what it was named.

The following code assigns buttons to each employee in column B. At the moment the code I have is able to assign the macro "Zip" to each button.

Now, this Zip macro is able to zip the file for the employee "Anthony Tran". However I need it to be able to recognise which employee's button I've clicked and search the same files as above except with that employees name instead of "Anthony Tran".
If it makes things easier, the code for creating buttons for each employee is able to name that button as the employees name that it represents.

Command Button To Copy Cells From One Sheet And Paste In Second Sheet
Aug 21, 2014I'm trying to create a command button on my sheet that when clicked will find all rows in column u that read Engineering Evaluation and then copy certain cells from that row to another sheet. The kicker is that this button will be used over and over again as more entries are entered into the log. I only want each row counted once.
Right now I get a run time error for the "For Each Cell In Application.Intersect(Range("u:u"), target)" line.

Macro Doesn't Work On Button, But Fine From Macro Menu!
Dec 15, 2008I've recorded a macro that copies an entire tab into a new spreadsheet then goes on the copy and paste information from one tab to another.
When I run the macro from the Tools>Macros menu it works perfectly.
But when I copy the code and add it to that of a button it fails and posts the following error: Run-time error '1001': Select method of Range class failed.
The first attachement shows the code for the macro as it is alone, and the second shows how I simply copied and pasted it into the 'view code' window of the button.
Needless to say I'm a beginner at macros and only every record them, I can usually make stuff work that way but this has me stumped!
Run Macro From Command Button In Userform - Display Msgbox At The End Of Macro

I would like to add a msgbox at the end of the macro which confirmes "successfully completed".

I have got the actual adding of buttons in the sheet working, but I can't find a way to automatically assign macros to newly generated buttons during runtime. Is this even possible (or are there any clever tricks I could use to get around this?)

Apr 16, 2014I'm looking to create a navigation sheet. Clicking different buttons will switch tabs and take you to the different parts of whichever sheet. Some sheets are several pages long so I thought this would be handy.
I tried using the hyperlink but it doesn't work as expected. It kind of randomly goes there. Ideally, I'd like the top of the page to be at the top of the screen.

Print Sheet To One Page With Button?
Mar 29, 2013I have a sheet that I would like to print to one page (11x17, landscape) and have it take up the majority of the page. The largest the sheet will ever be is data in rows 1 - 71, and columns A - AC. Right now I have it set up so that when i click on the button, the print dialog opens up and no adjustments are needed to print to pdf in 11x17 for the maximum amount of data.
Overall what I am trying to do is have the zoom change when rows are deleted (columns will always be A-AC). The top 5 rows and bottom 5 rows will always be there. I want the top and bottom margins to be the same on the pdf even if 10 rows are deleted in between.
