Macro That If I Hold Control + Shift + A I Will Get A Pop Up Saying "Your Amount Is (value Of The Cell)

I have an excel sheet and I want a Msg pop up to show a certain amount from a specific cell. So if the cell shows $100. I want to a do a macro that if I hold control + shift + a I will get a pop up saying "Your amount is (value of the cell).
I can only get it to work if I want the vale from an active cell.
MsgBox "The value in the active cell is " & ActiveCell.Value & "."

Is it possible that a cell contains both numeric and alphanumeric data and to do calculations on that?
For example: if a cell conatain the value "10a" or "8.5b" etc. Would it be possible to have a column that gives me the hours worked (the numeric value in the cell) and a line that gives me the amount of people that are working on shift "a" (the alphanumeric value in the cell).
Is this at all possible? Or does that require VBA/Macros and stuff (in which case this is posted in the wrong part of the forum )

For Excel 2007, does this key function only work after typing in a formula into a cell? I tried pasting the formula and am unable to get the {}.
Is there some setting in preferences to allow this?

Excel added the formula - but they all return "Not Found". After the VBA automation - I visit each cell, see the formula is correct and then press Control +Shift + Enter; then the correct value displays! Of course, the curly brackets also appear in the formula bar. In VBA I tried to use the:

The Excel Formula bar for the cell is just empty (blank)
Using only the Formula property:

The correct formula is created in each cell, but. Until I visit that cell and use the Control+Shift+Enter - the lookup will not work. It is proof that the right formula is there, without the curly brakcets.
In Excel - my vba code successfully constructs these formulas: In essence: It checks for an error and prints "Not Found" if no match is found in the check. It test for two values in a row - matches them to two columns on a row in another worksheet, and returns a third value for the matches of the same row.

1. I can't remember it, but I know there is a command so that the view hold and that the selected tabs and cells does not show and the same view remains until the "unhold" is called in the macro. THEN the view is updated. What is this command again? Could not find it...
2. The macro needs to delete tabs at the click of a button (easy part) but for each deletion, a message appear:
Data may exist in the sheet selected for deletion. To permanently delete this data, press Delete. Is there a way to prevent the message from popping out when the macro is executed?

A1 is the code, take the total(B) and calculate the base(C) on the percentage given in the G, net = B-C. for A2 and A3 it is the same process.
For A0 the total (B) is equal to Base(C) and calculate the net on the given percentage in G.

Im trying to set up an active running inventory sheet where: (A)the progressive daily sheet cells reference back to the corresponding master sheet cells fluctuating the master values, (B) the same progressive daily sheet cells reference back to a cummulative totals-cell based on whether I added or subtracted inventory. I want to make a copy of the blank "sheet 2" with all of the formulas and move it to the end of the workbook each day and enter new values which will reference back to the master sheet so that I can click on a date sheet and see an individual day's values or click on the master sheet to see the fluctuating inventory on-hand and the cummulative +/- totals of all days combined. I've got a couple hundred individual cells to reference. I've tried and tried but I can't make it work. Heres what I need to do:
I need to reference individual cells from "sheet 2,3,etc" back to a corresponding cell in a master sheet. But I need the values in each cell in "sheet 2,3,ETC" to increase or decrease the corresponding cell values in the master sheet. For example: If the value in the master sheet B5 is 200. Then in sheet 2, I enter +50 in B5, I need the master sheet cell B5 to increase by 50 to 250. I also need a way to decrease the cell value in the master sheet B5 if I enter a negative value -50 in sheet 2 B5. I also want to know if I can reference the same cell values entered in "sheet 2,3,etc cell B5" back to totals columns C5 for adding inventory or D5 for subtracting inventory in the master sheet where the master totals columns would reflect cummulative totals added or subtracted. For example: if the value in sheet 2 B5 is +50, then the value in Master sheet C5 would add 50 to a progressive total. But if the value in sheet 2 B5 is -50 then the value in master sheet D5 would add -50 to a progressive total.

I have the basics set up, but need to work out how to make it calculate my pay per shift dependant on the type of shift i have worked.
I have attached a screen shot of the current page,
In it i have currently used validation drop boxes for the location and worked columns with tables just to one side of the sheet.
The shift pay is the column i am having trouble with.
I would like it to change dependant on what is selected in the 'worked' column.
For most things it should just display basic plus holiday, however if supervisor is selcted in the work column, it should display basic plus holiday plus supervisor.

a person works for certain hours and get paid according to the hours worked either by day or by night or a mix of both. Day payment is $8 when worked between 08:00 and 19:59 , night payment is $12 when worked between 20:00 and 07:59. The excel cell are formatted as datetime with yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm , the function works fine in getting the time information and checking whether the whole work is all day or all night , yet the if-then-else statements for calculation seems to be wrong!!
examples:
start = 2008-01-01 09:15 , end = 2008-01-01 11:40 , all day as it is between 08:00 and 20:00 and cost = 8/hr = 19.333
start = 2008-01-03 21:05 , end = 2008-01-04 02:05 , all night as it is between 20:00 and 08:00 and cost = 12/hr = 60.000

I have my dummy data, and I have (what I think) is how I want the data to be shown. My friend uses Google Sheets, but I prefer Excel. I am trying to convert the code because I am a stickler for excel. Typically I can convert codes some easily, but this is way beyond me.
For Column A: I want to create a list on sheet 'Setup!' based on ids!D2:D="yes". If that list has duplicate entries, I would like only the first entry to show up, but for the next entries I would like the cell to be blank. (this is important for the next step) For Column C: I want to have the corresponding dates go with the name entry. For Column D: I want to have the notes go with the corresponding date entry. (I believe I can manipulate Column C's code to do Column D myself).
I am also going to upload a data sheet, and an expected results sheet.

how to write a macro where I can select a row or rows (adjacent) press a button, and the secelected row(s) will shift down one row every time the button is pressed. I also need another button with a macro that shifts the row(s) up one row at a time. The following code works for shifting selected row(s) up, but I can't figure out how to shift multiple rows down a row at a time.

I need a formula to calculate the amount due based on cumulative sales once a breakpoint amount is reached.
Example:
Breakpoint:
cum sales are > 500 pay at 3%
cum sales are >1,000 pay at 2%
month/ sales/ cumul sales/ amount due

I'm getting a runtime 1004 error "Cannot Shift Objects Off Sheet" right at the line when i am trying to collapse a subtotal (showlevels, rowlevel 2). I searched about this and i tested. I cannot find any comments, hidden comments, rows or columns. I cannot find any shapes (ran "Kill_Shapes" posted by Aaron Blood).

I am creating a spreadsheet that has various form controls, etc... in it and I wanted to create a "help" macro. I have a small Question Mark icon and I want the user to be able to click the icon and have little text boxes appear on the excel sheet with instructions.
I was wondering instead of making a toggle event where the user clicks once to turn on and again to turn off, if there was a way that the user could click and hold on the icon to make my text boxes visible....and when the user releases they disappear.

I was toying w/ the idea of being able to view two items in the same cell. A wholesale cost and a retail cost, the wholesale would be in the cell and the retail price would be in the comment. When mouse is placed over a particular cell, a comment would pop up and show the second view, the retail price.
This to be effective would need to be copied down like a typical formula would be. If not, it would take too long to enter each item into a comment for each cell.
I really doubt this is possible, but if not in Excel, could this be accomplished in VBA?

Does anybody know the memory limitations that Excel (2003) has with regard to the amount of vba code that a workbook can contain?
I have automated one of my spreadsheets to load a bunch of modules containing code (a few hundred thousand lines of code altogether). Before it finishes loading all of the modules I get a "Run-time error '7': Out of memory" error. When I press the Help button on the dialog I get a help page which says:
"More memory was required than is available, or a 64K segment boundary was encountered."
The help page goes on to suggest (among a few other things) that I might have a module or procedure that is too large. After reducing the sizes of individual procedures and modules, I am starting to think that there may be a limit to the absolute number of lines of code that can be stored within a single workbook.

I've attached a simple spread which gets across the main problem. i need the totals row (currently row 7) to drop down a cell each time the data base above has an extra row added to it its pretty much a cosmetic issue but it can be useful on hugely long spreads.

I want vba code to do the changes
Search for "CAP_ACTV_LN_SEQ" keyword in column A of Sheet1 and when found go two rows down and do the following
Delete cell D128 and E128 ( if more than 1 rows then do the same for all rows till "selected" keyword detected below it eg C131 in this case ) and Shift cells in the right to two column left as shown in figure below -
