Macro That Will Save Data To Specific Worksheet Tab

Feb 22, 2012

I've been using this macro to pull data from multiple files, but instead of it creating a new tab, how can I have the macro pull the data and save it on a specific tab name(ex. Comp Stores). Here's the code I have currently.

Macro To Copy Data From Specific Columns And Rows To New Worksheet?

Apr 29, 2014

What I am trying to do is to look at specific columns, then copy the data in that column from specific rows from sheet 1 (named TIA) to sheet Macro1. I think uploading a sample of the spreadsheet would be useful.

Unfortunately the spreadsheet is a living document and continues to grow in both column and rows.. The data extracted at this point is from row 7, 23-60 and copied into the new worksheet starting at A1.

Requirements:

1) Row 5 states the macro the column will be associated with. There can be more that one macro associated to a column.

2) When column is found, data from row 7 column (x) will be copied to sheet macro1 EX. If Cell G5 = macro1 then copy data from G7 to sheet macro1 at A1

3) When column is found, data from row 23 column (x) will be copied to sheet macro1

4) repeat requirement 3 till no more Scenario's

Macro To Save As To Specific Folder

Looking for VBA code to automatically save an excel file as an .xlsx format, and saving to a specific folder: C:UserswolfmDesktopLoad Lists

I have been using the attached code, but it's not working. It saves to the desktop, not the folder. Also, when it creates the file name based on sFile = ActiveSheet.Range("C4").Value & ".xlsx", it adds wierd things to the file name. I want the file name to be simply the value in C4.

Copy And Paste Value Macro / Save Individual File To Right Of Specific Tab

Mar 25, 2013

I have a current macro that saves each sheet as their own file. The first 10-15 sheets are not really necessary, so I typically delete them once the macro has run. I am looking to add two things to my current code:

1. Add a tab called Start. Make the macro look for 'Start' tab and then just save each sheet to the right of that as its own file.

2. Save each sheet in the macro as just a copy/paste value. They current have a lot of links and it makes each file close to 3MB. That makes it incredibily difficult to paste all in one email.

Here is the current code:

Sub CreateWorkbooks()
'Creates an individual workbook for each worksheet in the active workbook.
Dim wbDest As Workbook
Dim wbSource As Workbook
Dim sht As Object
Dim strSavePath As String
On Error GoTo ErrorHandler

Macro To Copy Six Specific Columns From One Worksheet To Another Worksheet

May 12, 2008

What I am trying to do is to write a macro that will automatically copy six columns from worksheet (Sheet 1) to another worksheet (Sheet 2). i.e. ‘Description of Project’, ‘WBS Code’, ‘Rate’, ‘Employee Name’, ‘Premium’, ‘Invoice’, ‘Status’, ‘Total Cumulative Hours’, ‘Total Cumulative Amount’ from Worksheet (from Sheet 1 to Sheet 2)

The problem arises as I know the names of the columns to be copied in Sheet 1 (as details above) but they can be in any order in sheet 1.

In additional the columns ‘Total Cumulative Hours’, ‘Total Cumulative Amount’ are total columns so when they are copied from ‘Sheet 1’ to ‘Sheet 2’ their values should be copied as opposed to the formulas

Save One Worksheet As A .CSV File With Macro

Jan 7, 2010

So I am trying to design a workbook that has two worksheets... one with instructions and a button for users to click to "Save as .CSV File", another for the data that will go into that CSV file.

Here are the Macro requirements:
1. The user will be prompted for the File & Location to save the .CSV file
2. If they click 'Cancel', no changes will be made (and unlike my current code, it won't ask them to debug).
3. Confirmation of the filename is not necessary even though it's currently included in my Macro
4. The file will automatically "reopen" so that they only see the new .CSV file without the original Instruction tab.

Macro To Save Worksheet As Text File Without Blanks

Jan 27, 2009

find attached an example of the spreadsheet I am working with. Please bear in mind that this is a much simplified version of the version I am currently working on (which needs to have 1000 lines). What I am trying to achieve is allow my team to enter rows of data into the spreadsheet in a format that they will be familiar with - then hit the button on the sheet which will then take a copy of the second sheet (which looks up against the first) and spit it out in a .txt file ready to be uploaded into our computer system.

The main priority that I need to fix is that when the .txt file is opened in notepad it contains a huge amount of blank data rows at the bottom - I assume that it is taking accross all 65536 lines into the .txt where I only want the rows that have data in them in the .txt. At present our computer system will not accept the .txt due to all the blank rows (its limit is 1000 lines).

Run Worksheet Specific Macro Only On One Sheet?

Apr 15, 2014

I'm trying to add some code so that it only runs on the specific sheet or a range of specific sheets - but this list might change in the future) as a worksheet event... When I have been doing this in the past, I have been copying the code to each of the individual sheets but this now seems to be incorrect.

This time, though, I have created the code on one sheet (with a Private Sub Worksheet_Calculate() event) which launches a macro in a separate module - my logic being to have as little code as possible in each of the sheets for copying, pasting, editing purposes, and centralise the main code in the module. However, I've noticed that this code is actually being run on all the sheets - even those I do not want it to run on. I thought, while developing this code, that it would only run on the one sheet it had been added to (e.g. right click the worksheet name, view code).

Save Data To Worksheet Dependent On Userform Dropdown

Jul 14, 2009

I'm a little out of my element(normally program PLC's). I have always been lucky on searching others programs and have been real successful at piecing them together to fit the application I needed. The current workbook I am working on for my supervisor will allow him to keep track of personnel's weekly job assignments. The workbook and userform work fine when just using one worksheet.

What i would like to be able to do is use the "assigned to" combobox be the indicator as to which worksheet the data is saved to. I have tried to do it several different ways but have been un-successful. Have spent the last two days reading and searching for a solution but have yet to find or understand one.

Selecting Specific Worksheet Immediately Stops Macro

Nov 15, 2013

Whenever I try to use Sheets("Volumes").Select or .Activate on a specific worksheet, my macro code will immediately terminate with no error message. Iv'e used F8 to step through several modules and found that this happens every time it hits that line. The wierd thing is that i can select this sheet when screenupdating is off and I select it from a called subroutine. No other worksheets in this workbook are having this problem.

Additional info : using Sheet1.Select will select it with no issues but I don't want to go this route since it's a workaround and not a solution to somthing that should work. This problem occurs in several modulesEverything used to work fine and just one day it decided that i couldn't select the "Volumes" sheet in VBA anymore.I can click on the sheet no problem and it is not protected or hidden.
