I have a worksheet(1) that contains data like: date, name, price, size....etc. I need to "sort" by size (only use 2 values - large and small), then copy each to another worksheet that saves data by the Month. The amount of data on worksheet(1) changes monthly.

I then need the code to extract all the information for the top 10 and bottom 10 rows and paste the info into a new worksheet. The code will need to account for the fact the number of rows might increase/decrease with this report.

I want to write a macro that automatically copies the rows in worksheet 'boekhouding' to their corresponding worksheet. The name of the worksheet, to which the data of each row has to be copied, is specified in row I (Beware: if it is not in row I, it is in row H). The names of all destination worksheets are given in the blue cells in worksheet ‘rekeningen’.
For example, row 2 (of worksheet 'boekhouding') should be copied to worksheet 'ABD'. Row 3 (of worksheet 'boekhouding') sheet be copied to sheet 'bestuur'. Row 4 (of worksheet 'boekhouding') should be copied to sheet 'Commissiekosten gala'. Etc for every datapoint (row) in worksheet 'boekhouding'. The number of datapoints will exceed 300, so manually doing this will be too time-consuming and unreliable.
I am looking for a macro that will allow me to the following:
- search column F for "word1", "word2", "word3", and/or "word4"
- then match the search to row on column C data
- then copy/paste row or rows of matched data unto "Sort" worksheet but only data from columns A, B, C, and F
- also, when copying, copy the row above
I have attached a 97-2003 .xls file with data for multiple store locations on sheet 1, and the desired result on sheet 2. I am actually using excel 2007, but I dont think I need any special features that it provides.

How to create macros. I need to copy a certain group of cells from one sheet to another, and then do it for x number of times. I'm just using the record function and now i'm lost. Here is the code i currently have:

I have two worksheets.
Worksheet 1 is a large data sheet containing columns of data (Date, State, Payment Method, etc, etc)
Worksheet 2 is the 'Report' worksheet with 2 blank cells (A1 and A2) for users to manually enter the Start and End dates, a drop-list for State names (B1) and a drop-list for Payment Method (C1) - Cash or Credit Card.
How can I write a macro to:
1) Filter by Start and End Dates then,
2) Filter by State name then,
3) Filter by Cash or Credit Card then,
4) Copy these filtered records (i.e. whole row/s) onto the 'Report' worksheet starting at Column A, Row 5.
5) Macro to end with a 'Successful' message.
I have two workbook having 8 worksheet each. Every day I need to copy data from previous day worksheet and paste it on new workbook with same sheet name.
For example :-
Workbook1 is having sheet named aa, gg, tk .....
Workbook2 is having sheet named as same as Workbook 1
Now, I want macro to copy data from Workbook1, sheetname 'aa' and paste the same in workbook2 in sheet name 'aa' and likewise
computer just doesn't have the horsepower to run all of the sheets and the formulas and put them together on one sheet in the same workbook.
I was wondering if it would be possible to take the identically arranged sheets from one book and paste the VALUES over to One page in another book.
I'm guessing you'd need to know the directory of the workbook and the title?
Below is the macro i run to compile in to one page in same workbook: (Summary3 is an arbitrary name for the new page, HEADERS is the name of the page that holds the headers for all of the categories, 2014 URL, RAP and DB_Template are the three sheets that I don't want to copy in to this new page)
The headers are in each sheet from B2:DL2 and the data would be from B3:DL75.

We're working with a large workbook with data from A5:P20000 on sheet1.
I need to be able to pull data from sheet1 to sheet2 based on the invoice number in column A on sheet2.
Sheet2 will have different invoice numbers in column A, some of these invoices numbers are in column H on sheet1. I need excel to find these invoice numbers and copy the data from that row on sheet2 to the row with that invoice number on column2.
Example:
Sheet2 A5 has invoice number 1234457
This same invoice number is located on sheet1 H3400

There's one sheet that has a list of customers (this is updated very frequently). These customers are either ‘New’ or ‘Existing (as listed in a corresponding column) - would it be possible to have a macro that, when run, will place a copy of existing customers into a second worksheet (“view list – new”), and a copy of new customers into a third worksheet (“view list – existing”), with the main worksheet still listing both existing and new customers.
As the main sheet that lists all customers is updated very frequently (with customers being added and removed throughout the day), would it be possible to clear all contents of the other two sheets that each list of 'existing' and 'new' customers will be copied into, before the two lists are copied into each of the two sheets (just to ensure there isn’t any data in there from the previous time each list was copied in).
I’ve given this a go via the ‘record macro’ function - some users of this WB use excel 2000, and others use excel 2007, but it only seems to work on excel 2007 (which is what it was recorded on)…

What i want my macro to do, is whenever that number in column K changes to copy all the data in row A thru K to a new sheet.
I have 8 columns of data with each column containing approx 130 rows of information.
In the 8th column there is an IF function in every row that checks criteria and gives a result 'OK' or 'NOT OK'
Now what i would like to do is create a macro that sorts the whole table in terms of OK/NOT OK, so that the OK results are at the top of the table. Then after being sorted it copies all the OK data to another table.
This all sounds simple however, sometimes there might be 10 rows of OK data and other times there might be 50, and i need excel to identify all the rows of OK data to be copied to the other table.
So the problem i have is trying to tell excel to look for all the OK data and not just the first few lines.
This is pretty hard to explain so if you need further clarification please let me know.
I would Need a macro which would Search a Keyword in the excel sheet and copies and pates the data in Cell "A2". for Example "Market" and then after the search it copies 12 rows upwards and 10 columns from the Cell that the word "Market" is placed. And then it copies 12 rows downwards and 10 columns from the Cell that the word "Market" is placed.
I have tried recording the same but it does not work if the Word "Market" is placed in different cell value.

I have a macro code which gets the file list from a folder i specify and puts it in to an excel sheet as a column. I have then made a drop down list from this so the user can select the file they want.
From this file i wish to copy the data on a sheet that i specify. For example the sheet "dump" from file FR7_19.11.2009.xls (which will be a closed workbook) and paste its content in to the sheet "dump" in Summary.xls
I have a macro which opens up the closed workbook FR7_19.11.2009.xls and copies the sheet "dump" and then creates a new sheet of the same name and content in my current workbook (Summary.xls). However when i wish to select a different file to load in to Summary.xls "dump" the formulas i have been calculating information from this sheet all come up with #!Ref errors. I know this is because the macro i use deletes the old dump sheet before re adding a new one containing new data.
I am therefore looking for a macro which will simply just copy and paste the data from any file i select in to a sheet named "dump" as the data is always set out the same in every file but the values are different. We need a macro that can filter customers' details to the specific employee assigned sheet based on the employee ID in the master sheet. For example, all customers assigned to DW (i.e with the 'DW' employee ID) filters into a sheet called 'DW'. Please note that the Master sheet is a continuous log updated daily. This macro must not duplicate information previously filtered once the employee enters a status update in column E.
I have spent a few days searching through forums but cannot find examples that i have been able to successfully adapt ( because they are to complicated for my limited knowledge). I have a workbook with 5 sheets, sheet1 (current), and sheet 4 (archive) are the important ones. I need a macro to
A) copy rows from "current" to "archive" ( to the 1st empty row) if column S of "current" contains "Closed" ( the word is generated by formula).
B) The paste needs to paste special values and number formats ( want to lose formula but not conditional formatting).
C) data sort "archives" based on col A - this puts the newly archived data into correct sequence.Data sort lowest number 1st
D) delete the copied rows from "current".
e) give me a count of how many rows it deleted, (I have a macro to insert rows so will run that manually to recreate the correct number of emtpy rows (with formula and formatting) to bring the current sheet back to usual size.
I tried modifying a macro by RPaulson (based on cells on one sheet to cells on another), to work with entire rows but couldn't get it to work.
Found that paste special uses PasteSpecial xlPasteValues, but , and thats about it.
I need to create a macro to copy the data from time sheets of different employees into the Master sheet. ie., each employee's time sheet details in to a separate sheet. If any employee fails to provide his/her time sheet details. a mail must be sent to the respective employees regarding the Time sheet submission. I am providing the sample data of my files too.
Intentionally TS_Employee5.xlsx timesheet isn't provided. In which case, I have to send a mail to the respective employee, in order to remind him about the time sheet.

I have a spreadsheet that I'm using to auto fill other tabs with data that only matches specific criteria. Here's what I'm looking to do:
Columns I, J, K, and L may be marked as either Y or N (or blank). I have different sheets that require 1, 2, 3, or 4 of those columns to match Y. For example, on sheet 2 I want to copy the entire row if there's a "Y" match on column I and J. On sheet 3 I want to match "Y" against, I, J, and K. Sheet 4 I need to match only L, etc.
I need the data copied into the existing sheets to start on row 7. I have other data on rows 1-6 that cannot be moved.

I have a workbook with four tabs or four sheets.
Tabs 1, 2 and 3 have a column of data (Column A) on each sheet. They all start from the same cell. Each cell of data are just numbers. The column (an array) of data will not have blanks between.
But, they are not the same number of data. They vary.
Meaning, Tab 1 may have 15 numbers (A1 to A15), Tab 2 may have 20 numbers (A1 to A20) and Tab 3 could have 5 numbers (A1 to A5). Each iteration of the workbook may have different number of data in the A column on these tabs.
Now on Tab 4, I want combine the data from all three tabs into one column (in column A).
So, Tab 4 has a column A with data from Tab 1 copy and pasted to (A1 to A15) as values, then (A16 to A35) have Tab 2 data copy pasted as values and (A36 to A40) have Tab 3 data copy pasted as values.
Basically, the macro on Tab 4 has to count the number of rows on each Tab that are populated with data values and figure out to copy all the data on Column A from each three tabs and paste the data value into the Tab 4 in one column of data (in values).
I have an excel WS1 set up as DB; I want to keep this sheet for data revision. WS2,3, 4, & 5 will be data that is filtered and sorted, using WS1 as source so I want to auto copy the WS1 data. Can I just auto copy WS1 (how do I do that?) then filter and sort in each WS?

What settings should I use in order to allow a user to sort data in a table when some of the cells are locked?
When I protected the sheet I ticked the option to allow user to sort data but it doesn't work...
I'm currently working on a problem that I'm having with Hyperlinks. Basically I want to copy the destination data that the hyperlink points to onto another sheet.
The main problem I'm having here is that I cant seem to find a suitable method to do this....I had the idea of using the hyperlink.follow function and then copying the data once I'm there and then moving back to the source hyperlink. My only problem with that is that I dont know how to find the cell address that the hyperlink is in, once I have found that hyperlink.
Therefore my question is two-fold:
- Is there a way to copy the destination data using some sort of hyperlink function?
- If not, is there a way to find the cell address within a worksheet, once a hyperlink is found on that worksheet?
I've attached the spreadsheet below to give a better idea of what Im doing, along with the "findHyperlinks" macro,within that workbook, that I am currently working on.
