After looking at other similar post titles I could not find a formula to work exactly proper.
I have attatched a sample of my problem. What I need is for cells E4:J4 to look for a match in cells B4:B16 and give a value of " Yes or No " in cell K4 if a match is found. Then copy down formula through E5:J5 to B4:B16 - E9:J9 to B4:B16. As my examples indicate Cells K4 would = yes, K5 = yes, K6 = yes, K7 = no, K8 = no, K9 = yes. Column D is the results, Columns E-J represents all combinations of column D.
I have tried the following formulas but they did not work entirely correct.
= NOT( ISNA( MATCH($b$4:$b$16, e5:j9, 0 ) ) )
= COUNTIF(e9:j9,"="&b4:b16)>0

An example will be as follows. List all possible outcomes for 3 matches. That will be 27 possible outcomes.
I would like results for my request of 50 matches to be displayed as follows.
HHH
HHD
HHA
HDH
HDD
HDA
[Code] ...........
Where:
H=HOME
D=DRAW
A=AWAY
Is there a way i can have the possible outcomes listed as above for the outcomes of 50 football matches? I do know that the outcomes will be hundreds of millions if not billions.

I have another challenging solve for a VBA macro. So here it goes, as I have become frustrated trying to make an array formula with no joy. On my sample worksheet provided below this is what I am trying to accomplish:
(Solution cells) B4:I4 looks to the (Combination cells) M5:R10 for a match
If a match is present then cell J4 gives a "win" ,
If no match then cell J4 gives a " lose ".
Next if a win is present in cell J4, then cell K4 looks for when the draw number that matches occurred on from cells A4:A10, then subtracts the two(e.g. solutions cells from combination cells) to give the actual " # of draws to a win ". If no win is present in cell J4, then the default is zero for cell K4
The formula would be copied down thru cells J4:K12
Please refer to sample worksheet attached so that you can understand more clearly of just what I'm trying to do.

Outside the door of my flat I have a key holder – which has a combination of 4 digits. No-one knows what the combination is, so I’d like to try to find it, clear it and use it.
I wondered if there was a way to use excel to show all of the possible combinations so I can then tick them off as I try them…?
The possible numbers are 0-9, but you cant press a button more than once in any given attempt… so… first possible combination would be 0123… not 0001.

I am looking to do the following:
Say I enter the following values into a spreadsheet:
5
7
4
24
32
Is there a way to enter the value "36" and have Excel find the two values of 32 and 4 which add up to 36 for me? I will obviously be dealing with much larger spreadsheets and would like to somehow save time by not having to hunt down possible combinations of the total value I'm searching for.

I am trying to populate a worksheet that takes information from a table on another worksheet. I have to match three columns and show multiple entries for each correct match. Attached is a sample worksheet.
Invoice.xlsx
The information should be on the "Invoice" sheet. The cells in green are what will be given. The cells in yellow are what should be grabbed from table 1 on "June Sands Tracking Sheet"
The delivery date, Customer and truck number are the given fields.
from there I want it to search the table and populate "Truck BOL #","Sand Yard","Time In Staging", "Time Out of Location", and "Sand Type"
I tried this formula in the BOL # column but it wouldn't work
=IF(OR(C10={"",""}),"",IF(COUNTIFS(Table1[Delivery Date],$B$7,Table1[Truck '#],$E$7)=0,"No Entry",IFERROR(INDEX(Table1[BOL'#],SMALL(IF(Table1[Delivery Date]=$B$7,IF(Table1[Truck '#]=$E$7,ROW(Table1[BOL'#])-MIN(ROW(Table1[BOL'#]))+1)),ROWS(C$11:C19))),"")))

formula on the attached sheet. I need to update it now. The strengths are going to stay the same, but the weaknesses (purple headers on spreadsheet) only have to show up if the value associated with it is 3 or greater. (So traits with quantities of 1 and 2 will not show up as a weakness)
I have attached a spreadsheet wit desired results.

I am creating a spreadsheet that allocates hours to different categories of work - for example, "Fire Protection". I need the allocated hours for all of the different Fire Protection duties to only show up when a value greater than zero is entered in the column at the top of this category entitled "Fire Protection". If "Fire Protection" has a value of zero, then all fire protection-related duties will automatically be zero as well - in effect, this category of hours is nullified.

I have a DDE feed going into an Excel spreadsheet which gives me a share price in real-time. i.e the cell value is constantly changing.
I would like to create a formula that tells me if the price is 'Rising' or 'Falling' based on the previous value, before it was updated.
So, for example, if cell C4 said £1.00 and the the next price change changed cell C4 to £1.05 I would like cell C5 to say 'Rising' If the next price change was say to £1.04 I would like cell C5 to say 'Falling'.

i'm trying to do with an index match formula. My index match formula goes through a list and returns a date based on an email address. My issue I have is what if there are multiple entries that match that email address? How do I return the most recent date?
e.g. worksheet 1 has all the data
A B C
email ID date
worksheet 2 has a list of specific email addresses i'm looking for info on
A B
email date
My formula in column B of worksheet 2 is along the lines of this:
index(worksheet1 C:C,match(worksheet2 A1, worksheet 1 A:A,false))
basically saying where you find the email address in A1 listed in column A of worksheet 1, return in B1 the value in the column of that row in worksheet1.
The thing is we could have the same email address listed a number of times, so i'm looking for the latest date to be returned, not the first one it finds.

I am trying to get a formula to work that looks up a vendor, and then checks the quantity of their order (less than 99999999, less 500, less than 200, and less than 50). I get either a #NAME or #N/A when I try to use what I have written. I tried to include an =index(array,AND(Match(row 1,exact match),Match(row 1 less than quantity),Match(row 1,greater than quantity)),Match(rate, exact match)) returning the variable rate. I have had no luck using vlookup and pivot tables.

Sheet1 is Main Sheet which never will be amended and these numbers will be a source for pulling mathematical functions
See attached :
Sheet1.png
Don't be bothered about cell colors etc. They are for my reference
Sheet2
Will contain same Problem Ticket numbers but different (or same) values with number of 'Linked Incidents'
See screenshot
Sheet2.png
Based on Problem ID 10248
Main sheet shows 92 Linked Incidents
Value on Sheet two brings 93
If A5 Sheet2 value can be found in ColumnA Sheet1, look for a number in ColumnC, same ROW and compare it to C7 in Sheet2 ?
Bring up difference value, which in this case would be one.

My user has a worksheet that is hundreds of rows long. Column A contains the SerialNumber, col D contains the PartNo and col E contains the SerialNo. She wants her formula in col B to match the SerialNumber with SerialNo then return the value from PartNo into col B. =Index(PartNo,Match(A2,SerialNo,0)) gets me the match that I'm looking for so I thought I was done. Not so...she now tells me that there are duplicate, triplicate, etc., matches and the formula obviously is only pulling in the first match.
When she has a duplicate, she needs to have cells inserted into Col A & B. She does not want a whole row inserted because the PartNo and SerialNo will already be in the right places. I've tried inserting a helper column to enumerate the duplicates but I can't it to work. I also tried using ROWS in the formula to work with the duplicates but that only confused me. I'm pretty sure I'll need a macro to do this but I'm getting nowhere.

Please see the attached example of my problem. I have TIME in column A in minutes and % in Column B. What I would like to do is search the % column against the value inputed into E2 (in the example 52%) and find the corresponding TIME value (Col A). However, where there is no exact match of the E2 value I would like to select the next greater value. For example as there is no 55% in my example the formula would move on to 57.27% and record 21 in D2.

Column A would be Recipe Numbers, Column B the Planned Total.
I want to search column A for all matching recipe numbers.
Then, any recipes that match, look in column B for the planned totals, adding all incidents where they match.
Then the most difficult part, which just occured to me now.
I only need the Total Planned Total and Recipe name reported once.
Recipe#..........Planned Total
450................100
600................75
620................125
450................50
620................180
450................100
600................200
450................110
I will not be able to sort these lists.
If-Match-Sum? to display:
Recipe#............Total Planned Total
450....................360
600....................275
620....................305
I've researched for the first part... and it seems like Match will only find the first match and not look further? Am I wrong on this?
How to display the results hadn't even occured to me yet, since I was still trying to figure out how to GET the result.
