Move Cursor To Search Result

I am trying to position the cursor in a spreadsheet column based on the data within the column but am struggling with the software to do it.
What I have is:
(a) A column (A:A) containing a mix of up to 500 numbers (1 to 3 digit) and a few text entries (1 to 6 char). These form the basis of a movement log where say 100 different drivers (each with unique identity) are logged in and out, so there will be duplicates.
(b) A number of other columns logging task/times etc but the one I am interested in (B:B), contains a tick (martlet font "a") to denote the driver has departed.
What I want to do when a driver departs, is have a quick way of finding (from the top down) the row containing the drivers number (A:A) where the driver logged in, but has not yet departed (so I can tick him out!).
So from the top: find the first row (in A:A) matching a specific number/string, where B:B is also blank and position the cursor at B"x").
I have imagined a "button" with data entry at the top of the sheet being the easiest physical way of doing it but am open to offers.
Can the Cursor (or cell?) be highlighted as well, because this is not always easy to see in bright light.

I want a macro which will move cursor to right cell of the same row when the user will press enter in a particular sheet of particular workbook. I have tried the ToolsoptionsEditmove selection after enter , but this applies to excel as a whole and needs to be change every time if another worksheet or workbook is used and thus creating difficulty.
Can this be done through a macro as I need the cursor to move to right cell only for a particular worksheet and for a particular workbook?

I have some code that unhides the next worksheet when the value 'next' is selected at the bottom of the sheet being completed.
I would like to add some code so that the new sheet is opened and the curser is placed in the first cell that needs to be completed (E5).

I work with a sheet with active columns B thru I, which get daily numeric entries. The problem is that I have to enter data in columns H & I first, then go back to B thru G. how to force the cursor to jump to column B when I tab out of I into J?

I have written code for a userform, and after I enter in valid data, the cursor will not move on to then next field. I cannot even click on another field with my mouse. I changed some of the code around to add validation to it, and now I am unable to move on once a valid entry has been made. If the user enters in the value "9999" the userform works just fine, it only freezes when they attempt to enter in an employee number. I've tried a few different ways to resolve this, but nothing is working. This is the code I have written.

Can I make the cursor use only 2 columns? In other words, I know that when I scan barcode data into A1, I have the cursor automatically move to B1. BUT, once I've scanned data into B1, how do I make the cursor automatically move to A2?

What i have so far is:
-3 Sheets (Sheet1 - Search, Sheet2 - Data, Sheet3 - Result)
-Sheet1 has a userform ready to link up - this opens up when workbook and worksheet is activated.
-Sheet2 has some example data to search - the search is for column 1 (see attachment)
-Sheet3 has a template ready for the data to be pasted to.
I would like the search result is column 1 to copy the data from columns 1 to 7 to sheet3.
I want the template/layout to remain after the pasting of results. (everything protected from editing, if possible).
Once finished (ie go back to sheet1, i want the data from sheet3 to be cleared.)

exist any function that do following?
I am on the row 100 in column G. I had a freeze the first row where i have hypertext and other function. I want add here (in the 1. row) something like hypertext, but i want to stay in the row where i was.
When i am on row 100 in column G and i want to create function which move my cursor to column W but in the same row (row 100 in this case).
Next time i will be in row 154 and i will want to move my cursor again in column W and use this same hypertext/function or what.

I have this macro which ranks in reverse order col AA , I need to get the macro to do this ranking in col U .
The smallest number would be ranked 1 to the highest number ranked last .
All I need is the current result too go into col U and not col T when I run macro .
Please ignore the Value error in col T they don't matter at all .

This formula tells me the highest number: =LARGE((G36,O36,W36,AE36),1)
The result is AE36. The answer is correct. I get the highest number. I want the formula now shows Y3 instead of AE36.
In my situation Y3 is the name of 1 of my tables. In my case I get from this table, the highest number.
These are 6 cells to the left side. These are 33 cells to the upper part. In the future I will work with more tables. So the answer must always move
I've been busy this few days to investigate. That is why I know it works with offset. Anyway, I still do not know how it goes.

I am working with a VBA userform and several textbox's, setting SetFocus and or TabIndex doesn't leave the box ready to accept input and there is no cursor shown to indicate it is ready to accept input.

I have a formula sheet that uses an IF statement to determine if one columns data is bigger than another. Out of the 300 or so rows there are approx 20 that come back as yes (this is in column A) and the rest are blank
What I would like to do, is for the 20 or so rows, I would like to pull out (copy) columns B, J and L and put them into worksheet 2. Preferably without any gaps in the rows or columns.
I hope this is enough information, I am using MS excel version 2010 although I think the people who will ultimately be using it are on an earlier version.

I want to share the excess amount with negative ones and I also want it to be displayed in what percentage amount is switched. For example: D2 has excess amount of 50 but D3,D5 and D8 has a short amount of 10,10 & 30 Now I want from D2----20% (i.e D2/D3*100) should switch to D3, 20% should switch to D5 and remaining 60 should switch to D8. Is there any way of doing the same in excel.

i have been using a code that "Joe Was" wrote on this forum the code search all cells for a word i type and then copy the rows where the word was found into a new sheet. my problem is that the code overwrites the rows, so only one line is shown even when the result box say it finds 10 results.

I am working on a macro and, as part of it, I would like to look at column H of my spreadshet. If the wording in any cell in column H begins with the word, "total" I would like the cell contents of the cell in column G and up one to be dropped down one. Here is an example:
Let's say that the words "total money" is found in cell H2. I would like the cell contents of cell G1 to be moved to G2, making boths cell side-by-side having text in them - G2 and H2.

i've been using an IF function in order to display a certain value when one or more criteria are met in one cell in one specific worksheet. here's how it looks like:
=IF(OR(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("value1",Worksheet1!A1)),ISNUMBER(SEARCH("Value2",Worksheet1!A1))),"yes","no" )
with different values and names.. but it's just to give you the idea of what kind of function it is. this one works perfectly, but i also needed another one in which the logical test range is no longer only one cell, but more, thus a selection. i wrote the same formula, but instead of the "A1" i wrote for example "A1:A20" which i thought it would work.. but it doesn't. even more surprising, when i open the insert function (the helping wizard that pops up when i click the "fx" button on the left of the function string) and i put in the logical test, at the bottom of the window it says the correct result (ie: yes). but on the actual worksheet, the cell displays the wrong result (no). i know there are no errors in the formula, so i really don't know how to solve the problem.

I'd like to search for text and get the column character where the cell with the found text. The combination the two 'demands'/formulae into one are giving me problems. And the fact that the column character can exist out of two characters I cannot solve.
I can get the column number with HLookup right? and it gives me the column number, not the character. I can solve this partially (and ugly even more) with =Char(((Hlookup etc)+64 (letter before A))).

how to create a simple form that would search a sheet for a word and display the list of resulting rows - something similar to Adobe Reader 7 Search functionality ?
If I was having administrator privileges on this PC, I would simply install Cygnus and use its "grep" command on a CSV file but without that possibility, it's rather cumbersome to search an Excel sheet when you need to do it repetitively, and I need to locate a specific row each time without knowing the exact content of the cell (only searching for one or another word I know the cell contains).
