Calculating Number Late Last Week From Multiple Dates / Date Sets
Jul 2, 2014I am putting together a simple table to display current week's data vs previous weeks. The current week's data is drawn from a status chart which changes frequently. The constant change is fine for 'Current' as I only want the current data displayed.
The problem I am having is calculating the number of late jobs that existed during the previous week.
The status log has a due date which is compared to the current date to determine 'on time' status for the current week.
Due dates are reissued regularly so I can't use
=COUNTIF(RANGE,WEEKNUM(NOW()-1)) to return data about last week from my status chart.
I have available a 'Movement Log' (in the workbook but a separate worksheet) which tracks the changes in the due date field, but I'm not sure how to integrate that data to calculate the # of jobs that were running late from the last week.
My thought is that I need to perform a count of the # of late based on a comparison of 'due date' to 'date of the last day of last week' with a way to insert the "old due date" from the movement log to replace what is shown in the status log if necessary.

Year To Date Filter - Multiple Years
Jan 11, 2013Basically I need to add a column to my source data so I can use it as a filter on my Pivot Table in a different workbook. - something just as simple as TRUE/FALSE if the date is YTD for all years would be ideal.
Have attached an example if that makes it any clearer! nice simple formula would be ideal as sheet is around 600,000 rows long and growing!
Delete Both Sets Of Duplicate Date?
Oct 8, 2008I currently have about 3000 rows of data, much of it being duplicate data. Is there a way to have it search for duplicate data, and have it delete BOTH sets of duplicate data? For example, say this is what is in my spreadsheet:....
I would want it to delete both John Smith records and both Ted Nugent records, leaving Bob Bobbert's and Michael Jordan's records.

Min Values From Multiple Sets
Mar 7, 2009I am attaching a worksheet for which I need to calculate "National Points". I need to select 5 lowest values from "Tech" and "Speed" (Row 3 headings) events to the left of the totals column but a minimum of three "Tech" values need to be used. I have used the min, small 2, small 3 for the "Tech" set then used an IF statement for the fourth value. The formula returns the correct sum for values up to the fourth value. The problem comes on the fifth value. It seems to depend on if the 4th and 5th value come from the "Tech" events or "Speed" events. I have calculated the values manually and am unable to get them to correspond all the time. Can anyone help?

Aug 22, 2012Create a macro or some other solution to sorting my data. Just clicking on Sort Ascending isn't good enough because it'll sort everything and remove the empty rows. However, I want the empty rows to stay there. The way that I've been doing this is manually. Basically, after the empty rows were inserted, I'd click on a cell in Column A and click on Sort Ascending, then I'd scroll down and click on the next set of data and click on Sort Ascending, then the next set and the next. I'd end up having to do this hundreds of times.
I've uploaded an example of what I'm talking about, I also labeled the tabs as "I want this" and "to look like this":

Validation: Multiple Sets Of Different Controls
Nov 9, 2006I already have validation code to test TextBoxes for numeric values as well as the size of the numeric on a MultiPage userform. Of these 65 TextBoxes, 40 are within frames associated with two OptionButtons. Once the following conditions occur:
1) the frame’s focus is lost;
2) the textbox value is not null;
3) And the two Option Buttons’ values are both false,
I want a UserForm to load informing user that the OptionButtons must be selected. In addition, there are three different user messages one of which will be associated with one of the forty TextBoxes. The Names of the TextBoxes and their cognate pair of OptionButtons will share the same prefix, i.e., ***_Text, ***_Opt1, ***_Opt2 and the OptionButtuns Tags are labeled so as their values will get associated with the correct member of the three different messages. Along with displaying the appropriate message contained within this validating UserForm, I’d like to have the appropriate pair of Option Buttons whose selected Value gets passed to the correct option button on the main MultiPage form. The user cannot continue unless one of the OptionButtons is selected. How best is this accomplished? Should I also have the TextBox’s Tag set to a value matching its associated pair of OptionButtons? Whilst I could code this action at the time of Value submission, I’ve decided validate on the MultiPage user form rather than at the Value submission although I’m not married to this
Compare 2 Sets Of Data According To Start And End Date Column?
May 26, 2014In my attachment I am trying to identify rows within Table 2 that do not fit in with Table 1. For example in Table 2, Row 16 has a Start Date of 17.11.2010 and an End Date of 13.11.2011 for ID number 151. This record has to be shown as "OK" because it fits into the date range of Row 103 of Table 1 i.e. Table 1 Row 103 has a Start Date of 01.01.2010 and an End Date of 28.02.2013 for ID 15. In other words the Start Date of Table 2 Row 16 is GE the Start date of Table 1 Row 103, and the End Date of Table 2 Row 16 is LE the End Date of the same Row 103 of Table 1, therefore this reocrd is OK.
Row 14 of Table 2 needs to be shown as "NOT OK" because it has a Start Date of 12.01.2013 and an End Date of 31.03.2013 for ID 15 and this doesn't fit any date range of any Row in Table 1 for ID 15.

Excel 2013 :: Filter Date Using Timeline Filter
Dec 23, 2013I just got into the world of PowerPivot, Excel 2013 and Pivot Tables and am in the process of creating a Dashboard which I will then be uploading to SharePoint 2013.
On top of page I added the new timeline filter which I've linked to my pivot charts. Now what I would like to do, is create an additional pivot chart which looks at whatever date range has been used in the timeline filter and subtract 5 years from that. So, when I select a date range of November 2013 - December 2013 in timeline filter, the additional pivot chart will show the details for November 2008 - December 2013. This is where I get stuck.
I'm using two SSAS cubes which I'm combining together in PowerPivot and then display in Pivot Tables and Pivot Charts.

Now, to step it up a notch, I'm trying to create an even distribution of the numbers generated which is where I could use a hand. Here's my current code:

I wish to automate this task so formulas (if possible) are preferred. Totally cool with a multi-formula, many-columned solution - as long as this task is automated.
NB: Each cell will contain different text, so the sets of parentheses will appear in different places. The number of parenthetical sets may also vary from 1-5.
To Insert Down Between Sets Then Border Sets
Apr 10, 2008Below is a series of sets. Column A is the set number. I need a macro that will insert a row between sets and then put a border around each set. In my spreadsheet the sets are from A1:C500. Sometimes the sets are only 1 row, sometimes multiple rows. It looks like I will be doing one of these sheets every week. So far I have been doing it manually, but a macro sure would save some time.

Press down and it hides columns "B-F", "H-J", and "M-O".... then on depress it shows all the information again)

Create Macro That Filter Date In A Column From One Week Previous Till Current Date
Mar 14, 2014I have an excel sheet wherin there is a column that has the data where in the dates are displayed and many other columns.
I get this excel every Thursday so i want to filter this date column in such a way that it give me the data related to the date of the previous week only yet there is a catch here. When i say previous week i mean.
Suppose today is 03/14/14 then i want the data from 03/07/14 till today ie Last week friday to this week full( so cant use Current week option) and then paste it in a new sheet.
I tried the Record part but in that it is taking a hard coded value as i am selecting the date myself. I dont want to change the date manually every time.

Hiding Redundant Values From Multiple Sets Along With Adjacent Values
Aug 2, 2013I am working on creating a spreadsheet that can be updated by those unfamiliar to excel. I have a master list on one sheet and three separate lists for business, individual, and general. Each list has three columns giving name, address and postal code. There are numerous repeats on these lists and I wanted to hide any duplicates while keeping my cells aligned. So far I have been able to highlight any duplicates, but was interested in some function that would save at least one duplicate while hiding any additional ones.

Filter For Latest Date
Nov 26, 2009I have a data field of about 2000 rows & 30 columns.
These contain records on accidents for 56 offices.
One of the columns contains the date an individual had the accident.
There can be a number of records for each office as there are a number of employees in each office who have had accidents over the last few years.
I need to be able to run a macro or set up filters or formulae to show the row containing the most recent accidentin each office, by office. I also need to display the total number of days since the last accident occurred at the end of each row.
The offices are listed in Column B & the date of the last accident is listed in Column V.

Jan 10, 2007I have a column that can be found in the example attachment. My primary question is, how would I go about filtering out all of the Excel Dates & Times that do not have a multiple of 5 minutes in the "Timestamp". Can this be done w/ out the use of macros by use of the custom filter? My ultimate goal is averaging every hours worth of data so it would rather be hourly data rather than the 5-minute data given. More specifically I would be averaging the "Flow" data. The example given is actually a very small portion of what I am working with. I actually have a years worth of 5 minute data.

Jun 27, 2014I am having trouble setting conditional date filters for a column using a macro. I have two columns, A&B, each with dates in each cell. I want to filter column B to show dates that are less than or equal the corresponding cell in column A.
For example: A1=10th June 2014, B1=11th June 2014 --> The filter is set on column B, and B1 is excluded as it is not <= A1.
Updating Pivot Date Filter In VBA?
Jul 8, 2013I now have code that automatically refreshes all pivots and send an email with a brief body and summary table. What I wanted was to have VBA update the pivot table to the latest date before sending out the summary.
The table below is the mentioned pivot above where normally, I would update the Date to the latest date where a value was updated. So where PivotTable11, take Max of Date (only one row)
