Running into this issue of "transworksheet macros"
I have a master "update" commandbutton on sheet 1. I have two sub "update" buttons on sheet 2 and 3 respectively.
What I would like to do is have the user click the master button, that would "click" the two sub buttons so they run their respective macros on their respective worksheets (within the same worksheet.
I have tried pasting the macro code in the master button, telling it to select the sub worksheet and then run the macro, but the marco runs itself on the master worksheet instead.
what code I can put behind a button so that once I click on that button,
What ever cell i click on, the whole row of that cell will be colored a certain color.
Is this where i would used a target approach?
I need information to be automatically entered into a specified cell on Sheet 1 when an image I've pasted onto Sheet 2 is clicked on or moved. How can I do this? Is this even possible?
View 13 Replies View RelatedI wanted to add a counter macro where when a certain image is clicked on my spreadsheet, it will add 1 or take away 1 number in a specified cell on my spreadsheet. For instance, if my cell A1 had the number 0 in it, and I had 2 images beside it (a "+" and a "-"), when the "+" image is clicked, I need it to add 1 to cell A1, making it 1, and vice versa if clicking the "-" image for -1. I want it to be cumulative, so every time you click "+", the number in A1 will increase to 1, 2, 3, 4, etc, and same with the "-" making it -1, -2, -3, -4, etc.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a created a worksheet button using an image holder (because I couldn't get the image to display properly on a normal command button) and when I click on the button, it distorts the picture because of its default zoom feature. I tried resetting the picture to its original size using the .height and .width properties but this produced an error saying the object doesn't support this property (weird because they were available through the suggestions menu that's available when you're coding). If I could just reload the original image, that would do the trick but I am not sure how to do that without using an file path that would only work on my PC and not on other users'.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Cell with 3 text boxes spaced horizontally. My boss wants me to figure out a way for when I click each of those text boxes an image appears beside the textbox.
So if i click the first textbox a check appears beside the first textbox. If I click the 3rd textbox then beside the 3rd etc.. Also, In the cell beside it he wants a number to appear when you click the textbox. So say the first textbox is clicked the number "1" appears, the 2nd one is click the number "3" and the 3rd one is clicked the number "6" (for example).
I currently am using a form button to create new rows.

I am using a TreeView control and need to determine if the user clicked on the Image or the Label of a node. The Hittest function can return either a TreeViewHitTestInfo object or a node. By default it returns the node. I'm not quite sure how to trigger the return of a TreeViewHittestInfo object, but at the moment I'm even struggling to make VBA aware of that class. A simple statement like

returns an error saying that TreeViewHitTestInfo is not defined.
I'm designing a custom toolbar in VBA and have managed to create a toolbar with buttons.
However, I've been battling away trying to edit the buttons images so that I can design the button image to match the nature of macro assigned to it. The problem is that if you record yourself doing it, the macro written in VBA doesn't seem to recognise the editing button actions.
Does anyone out there know of a way to custom edit a button image in VBA?
I have a workbook with a number of active sheets, I am wanting to be able to create a button that allows the user to upload an image from their computer to a particular cell. I wish to be able to create a fixed size for this image so it crops it proportionally. In effect it is a button that open the insert picture dialog. I then want this picture to be placed in a particular cell.
I can then use this picture in other part of the workbook so that it inserts it in to other areas.

Is there a way to write a formula to hyperlink these images in an excel spreadsheet having the exact file name listed in one column. I only know how to hyperlink them individually. Since I have so many of them, it is nice to have a formula to do it quickly.

Unfortunately, the data it pulls is usually old. I've found the only solution is to open a browser manually and to click the Reload button on the web page then navigate back to my workbook and run it again. Then it will pull the most up to date info.
I've tried several ways of forcing a refresh of the data, but have not figured it out yet.
I have been trying the past couple of hours to use the send keys button to tab down to the button on the page I need and to hit enter, thus forcing a refresh, but I can't seem to get that to work either.
On a spreadsheet I have a button which has a macro assigned to it, for some reason when I protect the worksheet then then click the button, nothing happens (or though I do get egg timer for a second). but when I unprotect the shet its fine.
ive used this type of method many tiems, and cant see what the problem is, have tried all combination of locking and unlocking cells in and around etc, but nothign changes it.
I have a spreadsheet with 6 buttons on it. Ive been using the code from Daves Download Page to log users of the spreadsheet, however im now want to log which button is being clicked the most. Is this possible? Ive tried to do it myself, by adding a hidden sheet, and adding code to each button to add a line to the new sheet each time the button was clicked etc, but faield miserably.

For example:
An image of a strawberry is hyperlinked to a cell which contains the word "strawberry".
After clicking on the strawberry image, the cell which contained the word "strawberry" now contains the word "strawberry1".

Is there any way, through VBA code, to click a button on a sheet in another workbook. This button has a macro assigned to it. What I need to be done is this :- the workbook which has the button is open. The code should click the button on a specific sheet. On this action, the macro assigned to the button should get called.
I could just call the macro which is assigned to the button in this code. But the requirement is that the button click operation should call the macro.

Each macro is assigned to its own button, Clear and Restore. What I'm trying to do is make it so that the macro attached to the Restore button will not activiate unless the Clear macro attached to the Clear button is clicked first and visa versa. I can't see to find anthing quite like it in my research.
