Post Spreadsheet To Microsoft Exchange Public Folder

Sep 18, 2006

I'm looking at publishing a number of spreadsheets to the Public Folders section on our local Microsoft Exchange Server.

In Excel I can select File > Send To > Exchange Folder...
but I was wondering if there is a way to automate this in a macro?
I would also like to specify a folder it should be posted?

Updating Spreadsheet Post Userform

May 22, 2007

(1)I am using a userform (this contains a listbox) to update cell A1 which in turn updates a cell B1.

(2)I then run the next userform on cell A2 which should update its listbox from column B (which has just been updated previously).

My problem is that following step (1) the spreadsheet gets updated but when I processed to step (2) the listbox within the userform is not updated to show the information now in column B.

Finally, if I run the user form again (same as step (2)) the listbox has been updated .

Excel 2007 :: Generate Microsoft Word Document From Data Encoded In Spreadsheet?

Jun 18, 2012

I need to generate a microsoft word document from the data encoded in my excel spreadsheet. I am currently using MS office 2007.

in the Excel Spreadsheet from columns C to F "a) b) c) d)" was not typed but in the word document it automatically appears before the choices encoded in excel. Another thing is that some of the choices typed in the excel spreadsheet are in bold font and I want it to be generated in word document with the bold font as well.

By the way I am planning to use this technique to create a 100 item multiple choice exam for my students as I find using EXCEL to generate the document a lot easier than creating the test manually in WORD.

Call Public Object From Public Sub?

Aug 14, 2012

I am trying to bring up a form after clicking the "ok" button on another form. Both forms are defined in my public sub, so basically, the module creates both forms, calls the first form, and hides the second form. Then the first form hides itself and shows the second form. However, when second form is defined using "dim", the first form can't find it to show it, and when I make the second form "public" in my public sub, I get the error that it is an invalid attribute or function.

Here is the code from my sub that applies to this error:

Code:
Public Sub PutInEngine()
Dim InputForm As New FrmInputs
InputForm.Show

Open All Xls Files In Folder & Copy To 1 Spreadsheet

Nov 11, 2009

I’m wondering if this is possible, if I have a folder with say 30 excel spreadsheets (.xls) all named differently (number of files will always change), can I easily write something in VBA to Open all the spreadsheets and copy each sheet over to an existing Excel spreadsheet? For example, have a ‘template’ spreadsheet where the VBA would exist, then have the first sheet, (Sheet1) of each 30 sheets be copied back over to the template.xls? Even better, could I rename each Sheet1 to the name of the file before copying it over? This would basically be the first step in my process of getting the spreadsheet made.

I found this code in a similar question, so how can I rename the Sheet to the opened file name, then copy that over to template.xls?

Excel 2010 :: Placing Pictures From Folder In Spreadsheet

Jan 17, 2013

We updated excel from 2003 -> 2010 and this stopped working.

We have a macro which takes pictures from a folder and pastes those pictures in the excel -sheet.

At 2003 the pictures were correctly pasted to their positions, but at 2010 the pictures appear in somewhere at the same sheet. (not at the right places, which should be at column "o" at the same row.)

Macro (working correctly at 2003) :

Sub Kuvan_piirto(ic As Integer)
On Error GoTo loppu

SourceFile = Enari
DestinationFile = "Live1.JPG" ' Define target file name.
FileCopy SourceFile, DestinationFile
ActiveSheet.Pictures.Insert("Live1.JPG").Select

[Code] ..........

What should I change for 2010?

Change SUMPRODUCT To IF With Exchange Rate

Mar 31, 2009

As you can see in the attached sample file, I have different currencies, that all need to be converted to USD.

The exchange rate are displayed on sheet 2.

Currently the formula just picks all values without considering the exchange rate to USD. What I need to have, is a formula which, based on the currency, picks the correct exchange rate and outputs USD.

Apart from that, another thing the formula should consider is the value of G1 in sheet 2. With G1, the user can later define a specific type to be calculated by simply pressing down the button and chose either FG or RM.

The formula needs to:

Find out what currency the value is in and automatically convert it to USD via the exchange rate values. It also needs to consider the value of G1 in sheet 2 in order to filter out the other values. If, for example G1 is FG, then only FG should be taken into the process and therefore only values where type FG is marked.

Exchange A Number For A Letter Forumla

Aug 8, 2009

I have a sheet which calculates payment amounts.

Column titles:
Hours | Rate of Pay | Total

In the hours column usually the entries consist of numbers and everything works fine. However when an employee is on holiday they are still paid.

What I want to do is be able to enter the letter "H" for one of the entries in the hours column. The sheet to translate this as 2 hours.

H=2 x rate of pay = total

I cannot for the life of me get the correct formula to in order to achieve this. I don't particularly want to use a macro for this and others have suggested the "COUNTIF" function.

I have a financial sensitivity sheet setup by year, where for example below each year is a cell you can change the exchange rate in and it effects the outcome of cash flow as these cells are linked to part of the finances. Then I have a "reset" button setup that is assigned to a macro. When you click the reset button all cells in the exchange rate row will be changed to a value that is entered in a "base case" cell. That way various years can be changed but also everything can be set back to the default or base case. My macro for that case is this:

b) (not as good an option, as I will lose data) is delete the Saturday and Sunday data from the longer series that trades on the weekend.

Conditional Divide (probs Occur When I Manually Enters The Exchange Rate)

Sep 25, 2007

The file is a simple sheet which upon entering the actual/Invoice cost (C5), calculates the estimated landing/final cost (C8).

In between the process involves changing the currency from US$ to PKR, make some calculations, and changing back the currency again to US$.

The default rate of currency exchange is set to ave 60 (C12). However if the user knows the current rate he can put it manually in C6 and sheet will make all the calcs on this instead of using the default rate.

Problem:
Everything is working just too perfect. But probs occur when i manually enters the exchange rate.

It does successfully changes the US$ to PKR and calculates everything perfectly but doesnt reverts the final cost back to US$ successfully instead it keeps using the default value instead of user's value

Excel 2003 :: Extract Variable Rows Of Cells From Files In A Folder To Existing File In Folder

Mar 15, 2013

I need a macro in a workbook to look at all the files in the same folder that have "*att*.xls" in the name and determine and copy from the range A15:W515 only the rows that have data in at least columns A, C and D. Each file will vary as to how many rows there will be and there are more than the files with "*att*.xls" in the folder. The data will be on the only worksheet in each file and the worksheet is named "G2WAttendee_xls" the data from all the files need to be copied to the file called "Consolidated webinar reports.xls" (I am using Excel 2003) and to a sheet called "Attendance Data" and added to the end of the last paste.

At the start of the macro the current file "Consolidated webinar report.xls" should be saved to a sub folder of the current directory and have the date saved added to the name. The sub folder is called "Completed reports". The data in the original file on worksheet "Attendance Data" should be deleted.

At the end of the process all the files that have had data copied from them should be moved to the sub folder "Attendance reports consolidated" (This could be done as each file is closed if that is easier).

I have headings in row 1 of the "Attendance Data" worksheet that match the headings in the various files in the folder (which will always be in row 14 of the individual "*att*.xls" files).

The folder with all the files and the "Consolidated webinar report.xls" file is at path "Z:P and S MEvaluationsWebinar series 2012-13TB".

VBA Code To Find A Folder Name Within Parent Folder That Contains Defined Text

Jul 23, 2014

I have an Excel VBA Macro for creating/logging drawing numbers. Each drawing belongs to a job number. Each job number has a folder name containing the job number followed by a description (ie 999999 - bracket assembly) for storing drawing pdf's. The job number is only known as a 6 figure number in the drawing creation process BUT for the PDF saving process it is a string value...as my example above

I have to change my process by pre-creating the Job Number folder, then have the macro look for the appropriate folder by searching the parent folder for a sub folder containing the job number (always the first 6 figures).

I want to insert in my macro some code that searches...

The parent folder for a folder containing the job number. The macro value for the parent folder is P:engineeringdrawings (this never changes). the macro value for the job number is iOpenair (it's an entry that is entered as start the macro). Imagine the value for the job number is "999999"...so the search would be for "999999*.*" The code needs to search the parent folder, find the folder name that begins with a six digit number. Capture the complete name of the folder and store that name as a Dim value that I can call up elsewhere in my macro.
