Primary Key Does Not Pass Record Number To Foreign Key

I have a VBA program in Excel that creates an Access Database. There are 4 tables and below are the SQL statements that create the Database. There are more fields associated with each table. When I go to Access the tables look great and I do not get any error messages.

When I send, “write” records from Excel to the tables the record's data is written correctly, the AcountInformation [RecId] updates with an auto number correctly the Primary Key auto number of each of the subsequent tables updates correctly.

The Foreign keys do not contain the record number from the, “refers back to AcountInformation [RecId] Primary Number”. Every thing works except the updating of the Foreign Key

I have tried everything even going into access and manually deleting a record from AcountInformation table to see if it deletes the appropriate records in the other tables and updating a record. It does not update and or delete the records from the other Tables.

The bottom line, Access does not pass a Primary key number to the Foreign Key.

Linking Primary Key To Foreign Key

I am creating an Access database from excel. In the code I get the Database and Tables name from Excel spread sheet and assign them to variables.

In the first table, & tblNamePrime &, I create a Primary Key called, [PrimeRecId]. I create a second table, & tblName & and try to create a Foreign Key called, [RecId] and try to Reference it to the table, & tblNamePrime & [PrimeRecId]. I always receive the following error message:

Syntax Error in CONSTRAINT Clause
-2147217900(80040e14)

If I remove the code in blue it creates the tables but then I need to go th access and link them by access

I have tried many different ways and have followed instructions from SQL, Access VBA and I am unable to Link the Primary Key to the Foreign Key.

I am new at trying to tie Excel to Access and SQL.

The code below is just 2 tables but when I am done there will be a total of 4 tables all linked back to the first table.

But instead I want to parse through 50 rows and dynamically get the value instead of using a static Range("A1"). So I am trying to do the following:

International Functionality - Type Mismatch In Foreign Countries

I've always found these forums a valuable resource while searching for answers to coding questions. My question today deals with international distribution of Macros.

I've written a macro and its been distributed worldwide. It works just fine on the multiple instances where people have installed it here in the US. However, two of my colleagues in Mexico and Brazil are recieivng Type Mismatch Errors. Here is the code that is crashing:

The precise type mismatch is occuring at:

Do Until vartemp1 = ""

vartemp1 is a variant variable which at this point is storing the cell contents
intsummcol is an integer variable storing the column number
intsummrow is an integer variable storing the row number

And through my follow-up testing I've confirmed that in my US based copy cell A7 does have text in it.

I am trying to create a macro (please look the attached excel what I have done), I have already crwated a macro that after 5 seconds is gonna change the background color of the of the cell en function of another cell.

That means if F3:F4 change the background color F8:is going to change the backgorung color also, every 5 seconds. The macro I wrote is also include in the excel attached file.

Now this is my problem... I have a variable cell that is give for D6 which could be A,B,C,D,E,F (Range F2:K2).

If the variable cell D6 is A the background color of F8:F9 should be the background color F3:F4 .

If the variable cell D6 is B the background color of F8:F9 should be the background color G3:G4 .

If the variable cell D6 is C the background color of F8:F9 should be the background color H3:H4 ......and etcetera.

Pass Number From TextBox To Cell In Numeric Format

I have uploaded a copy of the spreadsheet I am working on and have completed the user forms and coding for march the 1st only, so if you test, please use the options march and then the 1st!

The problems i have is, when I enter a number into a text box and press next page, the numbers fill where i want them to but the cells do not recognise them as numbers, therefore conditional formatting doesnt work! Even if I change the cell properties to numbers, this does not remove the error!

Second problem!! If a user forgetts to enter a value in a box, or they wish to edit just one value, and go back into the user form to change a figure, when they press next page, all the values in the column seem to disappear!

I use the code below to enter a value from a list box in a cell on a workssheet. Is it possible to code VBA to enter a number for the position of the selection in the listbox to a cell in a worksheet rather that the actual value from the list box. For example if my list is:

Option3

And I click on Option2 in the list, I can sennd the value 2 to a cell on the worksheet rather that the value "Option2' from the list.

When saving these files as CSV many of the unique characters get changed to a ?

I have tried a few things like using Open Office and saving it as a text CSV and then adjusting the formatting to unicode 8 but it hasn't worked. i am using Excel 2013?

I am trying to search through column "I" for numbers that are decimals, when the first decimal is found, use the row number that the first decimal appears in the string that populates the bookmarks stored in a word template I have created. Part of the data is only entered when a positive value exists.

I then do an export from SheetB.

I seek advice on using the value of NOW() as a record ID in an address book program. Question #1: Do Excel developers often use a record ID? Question #2: What record ID schemes are fequently employed besides date/time? I have decided to create an Excel address book as an exercise to increase my knowledge of VBA, and also as a useful application for work.

I realize that a record ID is not essential in Excel in the way that it is essential in Access, but I feel the need to have some unique ID associated with each address, so that I may have different worksheets, with data related to a given Contact, sort and manipulate it, if necessary, but have the record ID as a way to restore the relationship of rows to a given Contact, and also, as a handy way to examine the data in the date/time sequence in which it was entered. I have experimented with the following code, to assure myself that I can access the number returned by the NOW() function, manipulate it as a string, and format in various ways if necessary.

Textbox That Shows Current Record Number Or Listbox To Show All Records

I am looking for a text box code that works with a search userform.

Basically, I search using my userform find function and if there are more than one record found I want to be able to either:

1) have the records found appear in a listbox
0r
2) have the first record appear in the userform but a text box will show I am on 1 of X records and when I click a command button, go the next record, which will be 2 of x records and so on...

VB:

This is the code for the button that goes to the next record but I am unsure how to relate that a listbox or text box that shows the record number I am on out of the total that there are.

I would also be looking for another button that goes back one record. So i am hoping it's as easy as reversing the code for the next record function.

I am not sure if the listbox that could show all I records and one can just be selected is easier than showing the textbox with the " 1 of X records".

I am creating an asset management sheet. For the formula I am trying to work out there uses 3 fields : ID, start date, and end date.

What I want to do is be able to show if the ID is duplicated within another record with an overlapping date. So an item is flagged if it is in the list within the same dates as another record. I tried a few countif formulas but with no success.. I may just be approaching the problem incorrectly though.

Locking Secondary Axis To Primary?

I have been trying to break my new chart that combines stacked bars on the primary axis with their labels on a transparent line graph tied to the secondary axis. The secondary axis allows me to show the labels I want as categories and position them relative to the visible part of the stacked bar (waterfall style) proportionately outside of the bar. The trouble comes when my label positioning is less than or more than the primary boundaries. I can solve this manually by changing the max or min value of the secondary axis, but what I really want is for the secondary axis to be locked to the primary axis' max and min automatically.

I know it is possible in Access auto assign a unique ID (primary key?) to each record in a table. I am creating records in a table using Excel and Visual Basic to write to a ".mdb" file without using Access. Is there a way to auto assign a unique ID within the coding?

The reason I ask this is if I had two users writing to the ".mdb" file at the same time, I don't want them to end up with the same ID's for two differend records.

I'm trying to find a macro that will run allowing the user to select a 'starting record number' and a 'finishing record number' when printing.

I have a spreadsheet that feeds from a master list in excel, from over 5000 records.

I need to print the s'sheet with any given indivdual record's information at any given time.

Individual prints are fine. However if I wanted to print from record number 1500 to record number 3000 it would take me all day.

Is there a way I can set up a macro so an option form pops up? allowing selection of "From record" and "to Record" ?

Adding Reference Lines To Chart With Primary And Secondary Axis

I have a chart with sales data on one axis and inventory on a secondary axis. I have the average of each columns of data and want to add a reference line to each axis with it's average. I have added the averages to my data set, but it only adds the reference line to my primary axis. I actually began by manually inserting two lines to the chart (which seems asinine). They actually didn't print because they weren't actually on the chart, but rather just on the spreadsheet behind.

The idea is to enter an account number like 234356 click a button and bring back:

I got the button part done and using vlookup it brings back the first line. The problem is that it won't bring back all the rows just the first one.
