View 2 RepliesI have enclosed 3 pictures with my question.
1. Is where the user is putting in data.
2. Is a spreadsheet with the data choosen from the action of the user, but it is containing also the non-choosen data from the input spreadsheet.
3. IS how I want the data shown to me either automatic or thru a macro. So is there any code like IF or some Macro who would make this happen?
What I want at the end of the day is a list of products that the user have put in and nothing else, with the QTY and price and the sum of that.
Here is a picture example of what I mean, just randomly found on google:

Maybe an insignificant thing I want, but can the line from the comment connecting to the red indicator be removed? Added an example since my comments show up below the selected cell with VBA code.
In Sheet1 cell A1 has concatenate formula and the data source is linked from sheet "DataInput". Sheet1 cell A1 has multiple data and there are blank lines within the cell. I would like to remove these lines so it looks clean without any gaps. So basically its looking like this right now
Harry
Andrew
Joe
Apple
Billy
I want it to look like this but i am having a difficult time because this cell contains a formula
Harry
Andrew
Joe
Apple
Billy
A formula or something that would fix this problem automatically.
I have code that works well to insert a blank row. I need to remove all vertical lines each time it adds a row. You can see I commented out the line I tried.
Sub InsertRow()
Dim LstRw As Long, ChkRw As Long
LstRw = Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
For ChkRw = LstRw To 6 Step -1
If Cells(ChkRw, "A") Cells(ChkRw - 1, "A") Then
Rows(ChkRw).EntireRow.Insert
'Selection.Borders(xlInsideVertical).LineStyle = xlNone
End If
Next ChkRw
Application.ScreenUpdating = True
End Sub
I have created a form for my customers. It is attached.
In creating the form, I have merged cells so that the area behind my text boxes will appear clean (no lines).
However, I cannot remove the lines around certain cells see, e.g. range K21.
I would like to make the form as "pretty" as possible for my clients (and it would help me look good to management).
I'm trying to remove lines in my line charts. I searched the internet and find the following code:
Code:
Sub RemoveLines()
Dim ser As Series
For Each ser In ActiveChart.SeriesCollection
ser.Format.Line.Visible = False
Next ser
End Sub
However, when I run the code, I got "Object doesn't support this property or method". I did select the chart. I have excel 2003 with vba 6.5.
My main sheet has the results of a competition in rows 1-100. 75% of the results won't count for the jumpoff ( its a horsey competition) and I want to automatically copy the successful details to another sheet. I've worked out how to to omit the unsuccessful results by using an IF statement ( IF cellx is > x then copy ) but I still end up with 100 rows - with 25 results and 75 blank rows. How can I copy but compact it down to 25 rows.
As a second question I need to sort the results. I know how to do a manual sort & I even worked out a macro so one keystroke can do the sort. It woruld be better if the sort would be automatic whenever there is a change in the scores.
I am using Excel to generate a CSV file to load into a industrial cutting machine. The CSV file is used to import the cut list. As such formatting and the data per cell in Excel is important.
What I am presently trying to do is input the dimensions and type of the overall part and have the individual pieces be generated in a second sheet. I can presently do something of the sort using extensive 'if' statements. The problem with this is that I can only generate one line for every line I enter.
So this leads to what my problem is. I want to be able to have the info on 'Row one' 'sheet one' generate its parts list (which maybe 1-3 rows) and post that to sheet 2. Then 'row two' 'sheet one' generate it's info, but place it into the next unused row on sheet two. One of the issues I am having is that each row on sheet one may need to generate between 1-4 lines, maybe more, and I don't know how to not overwrite or have gaps on sheet 2.
Am I looking at going into macros or learning VBA?
I have to do a large amount of routine work with a large number of sheets. I have tried to record some macros to do the job.
First of all I would like to insert 2 lines under line 6 in the active sheet.
I then need to drag the formulas found in line 6 down over the two new lines.
Thirdly i would like to change the text string "xxx" in the formulas found in line 7 to "yyy"
How do i deselect grid-lines in Excel 2003 so as the sheet is clear.

I have a source sheet which contains data. Within this data there is a column (column 3) called Name and I would like to take the data from this sheet and paste it onto a new sheet but in grouped format. So take all instances where it finds criteria 1, then 2 and so on and just paste it on a new line each time it finds a criteria. So far I have the following code to search
Sub loopy()
Dim rngTemp As Range ' the range variable declaration
Dim intCounter As Integer 'counter as integer
' the following loop goes through all the cells in column a up until the last used cell in the column
For Each rngTemp In Range("a1", Range("a" & Rows.Count).End(xlUp))
'increment the counter if the cell has value fridge
If rngTemp = "Fridge" Then intCounter = intCounter + 1
Next rngTemp
MsgBox "There were " & intCounter & " cells equal to Fridge"
End Sub
I have a file that has simple stats for multiple days. At the end of each day is a "Summary" line. I can't figure out how to find the lines that have the word Summary in them and copy all the values in that line to another sheet. I've made a mock up of my data. I have minimal experience with Macros, but am learning quickly.

I am looking to remove the daily expenses summary sheet and continue to use the expenses detail sheet, but on the main weekly business sheet where you enter the financials, I need the expenses line to contain expenses for each day.
It is my intention to simply enter monday in the day colum in the expenses detail sheet and in the weekly business sheet it would pick this up.
So the formula I had was =ifsum(!expenses detail a2:a40, !expenses detail monday, e2:e4) This formula is giving me a name error.
Am I using the wrong formula. Basically I want this type of formula so under the expenses row for mon-sun it will add this up.
I am using the following code to remove duplicate records from a sheet:
[Code] ....
It successfully removes the duplicates (based on Columns A and B), however it is changing the formatting of the cells and messing with the conditional formatting I have on the sheet.
I want a macro which will remove the total records in "CHILD" sheet by comparing with "MASTER" sheet based on the condition that if the data from columns A, C and D are totally match between two sheets
e.g. see record 14 in "CHILD" sheet which should be removed as it is matching with 3rd row of master sheet.
I am attempting to remove all conditional formatting from a sheet. Over time as data has been copied and pasted, the conditional formatting has gotten out of line and now there are hundreds of rows of unneeded conditional formats. The problem is that the only way I know how to delete each rule is to click each item on the conditional formatting rules manager and hit delete. This takes forever. Is there a way to remove all at one time?
View 3 Replies View RelatedHow do I copy a sheet into a new workbook without the formulas referring to the old workbook? For example, formulas end up like this: = SUMIF('[BAS05-07to09.xls]IN'!$B$6:$B$62,101,'[BAS05-07to09.xls]IN'!$E$6:$E$62). I want them to come across as I originally had them, like this: =SUMIF(IN!$B$6:$B$62,101,IN!$E$6:$E$62). here are too many to do it manually each time.

I have two sheets of data: sheet1 and sheet2. Data in sheet 1 and sheet 2 are in pair, ex: row1 and row2 is 1 pair, row 3 and row 4 is one pair ect…I need a program that start from each pair in sheet1 and search for it in sheet2, if that pair already exist somewhere in sheet2, then cut that pair from sheet1 and paste it into sheet3.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have a file that I want a code to look for certain data and when found move the row to another sheet. The code needs to look at the active sheet because the name of the sheet will be different everytime I use it. It will also need to create another sheet named 'Online' that these rows are moved to.
The code will need to look for data that begins with either OAP, MCP, CPP, F4P, VAP, VWP, ITP and MEP. These will be followed by numbers i.e MCP123456. Once these are found I need the entire row removed to the created sheet.
The columns that these numbers will be in will vary on each file I use it on so it needs to look at the entire sheet rather than specific columns.
Also any cell that has data that begins with either MH and JD followed by 6 numbers that row needs deleting completely.
When right clicking on the sheet tab, I need to know if it is possible to remove the "Delete" from being an option. My workbook is structured to where if a single sheet is deleted, it screws up all my formulas. I tried to just password protect the workbook, but doing that removes the "Rename" function, which I still need.
