Find Summary Row On Multiple Lines - Copy Entire Row And Paste To New Sheet
Sep 21, 2013
I have a file that has simple stats for multiple days. At the end of each day is a "Summary" line. I can't figure out how to find the lines that have the word Summary in them and copy all the values in that line to another sheet. I've made a mock up of my data. I have minimal experience with Macros, but am learning quickly.

Thank you all so much for this wonderful forum. Today has been a day of going through post after post. I am usually able to solve my problems through reading similar issues. However, just can quite get this one and I think it is rather simple, but frustrating none the less.
Attached is a spreadsheet with a list names in column B. The codes I have tried to write or have copied find one name and paste it to sheet 1. However, I need to find several names and then copy each row to sheet 1.

I presently have a workbook that contains a summary sheet called "Sum" and a few other worksheets called Building A1, Building A2 and so on until Building A5. All the worksheets have similar layout with the Header at Cell A4 to H4 and the data starting at Cell A6:H6 onwards. At present, I have to manually clear the summary sheet and then copy and paste from each of the worksheet unto this summary sheet one by one.

I am trying to count the number of rows on sheets 11 To 2 in my workbook. I want to count the rows (excluding the header) on each sheet one at a time and place them on a "Summary" Sheet. So for example. The row count for Sheet 11 would go in cell B2 of the "Summary" Sheet. The row count for Sheet 10 would go in cell B3 on the "Summary" tab. The row count for Sheet 9 would go in cell b4 on the "Summary" Tab. I have taken a crack at the sub procedure but can't get the syntax and/or the logic correct.
Here is what I have so far:
Code:
Sub SummaryCalculations()
Dim lr As Long
Dim i As Long
Dim SheetArray(11 To 2) As Worksheet 'Sheets that the rows need to be counted on are 11,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3 and 2
For Each ws In SheetArray
[Code] ...........

Is there a way of copying an entire sheet, but pasting only the cells that don't contain an equation?
I have a number of populated templates that need to be copied into a master document, both formatted and laid out the same. However, I have some instances where the templates have been fiddled around with so the formulas have been corrupted. So, I'd like to pick up the raw data without the corrupted equations.

Here's what I have:
A workbook with 40 sheets, each sheet has data in A:B with varying numbers of rows. A and B have headers in each sheet.
What I want to do:
Have a summary sheet in the same workbook of all the sheets in A:B
After some searching and my limited VB skills, I found a way to copy each column into the summary but to the right of the next column. I need it to be continuous in A:B
Sub Create_Summary()
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
On Error Resume Next
Sheets("Summary").Delete
Application.DisplayAlerts = True
n = Application.Worksheets.Count

I have searched for my answer but because I am new to all this I am stuggling to manipulate some of the other code that is close to what I am after..
I am trying to find a quick way of summarising data from multiple detail sheets onto a summary sheet (all within the same workbook) with the number of worksheets varying (ie: I may add or delete worksheets).
I basically want a concise summary of the other detailed sheets.
My Workbook is setup as follows:
Multiple sheets detailing each individual trade (with a summary at the bottom with the basic info I need on the summary sheet).
A summary sheet totalling the profit/ loss from all trades, costs of all trades etc (I am ok with this).
A summary sheet summarising all trades - ie each of the summaries contained on the individual trade sheets consolidated onto one sheet for quick reference:
Trade #TradePositionProfit LossHold Time
1JBHLong300030
2JBHLong250020
3JBHLong200010
1WOWShort050012
1HVNLong800015
1CLXShort500045
2CLXShort250030
3CLXShort150010
What I am struggling to get onto the summary sheet is all the individual summaries on the detail sheets. The reason for this is that each trade can have up to 3 positions: the Initial trade, Pyramid 1 & Pyramid 2. (This range is in the same location of each sheet but could be 1, 2 or 3 lines) and the number of trades I enter during the month can vary (ie the worksheet number can vary).
I don’t want to have to manually update a range, of a consolidation for example, each time I add a new trade (new worksheet) & want to view a summary.
I thought it would be easier to summaries each trade at the bottom of each trade sheet so I can pick the information up from the same spot already in the format I want it in for the summary page.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get the summary to search each sheet, no matter if there is 1 trade or 50 trades & pull the summary information which is located in the same spot onto the one sheet for a quick view?

I have attempted to use a table of contents macro and then Hlookups to pull corresponding data from each worksheet, but haven't had success
Issue: Excel workbook contains 50+ worksheets formatted the same, with data located in the same cells. Worksheets are constantly added to the workbook so the formula needs to scan the entire workbook
How the data is organized: Subject headings are as follows: Cell A1 is "Loan ID"; A2 is labeled "Deal Name"; A3 is "Property Name"; A6 is "Loan Amount"; and E4 is "Asset Manager". Cells B1,B2, B3, B6, and F4 contain the corresponding data.
Goal: I would like to automatically pull all of this information onto a summary page (much like a table of contents, but with the subject headings running across the top of the page) and the text data running down the page. I would also like to be able to click on the property name and have it direct me to the corresponding tab<br> <br>
I have attached an example of what I am looking for, see "summary" tab for end result and other tabs as make-up of the data.

I have an excel workbook containing 123 worksheets. Sheet1 I have titled "Summary" and I wish to copy data from the remaining sheets (2-123) into it. Each sheet is formatted in the same way, and I wish to take the data in cells E66:G130 from each worksheet and paste it into the Summary sheet (so, Sheet2's 3 columns would be pasted in cell A1, Sheet3's in D1, and so on).
I gave a couple of codes a go (this one is from a thread "Copy Data From Multiple Worksheets & Append To Single Worksheet", I tried to alter accordingly):
Sub SummurizeSheets()
Dim ws As Worksheet
Application. Screenupdating = False
Sheets("Summary").Activate
For Each ws In Worksheets
If ws. Name <> "Summary" Then
ws.Range("E66:G130").Copy
ActiveSheet.Paste Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0)
End If
Next ws
End Sub
However, I don't understand what "ActiveSheet.Paste Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0)" refers to - I am told there is an error with this line ("compile error expected =").
I also tried the Consolidate function, but had problems as well.

There are 3 sheets that im searching. This is where I run into problems. Im looking to start with sheet1, and copy all rows deemed "good" into entries on sheet 4. I have a value in sheet3 cell "C9". (the value is stewart)
I am tring to have the macro go down column "C" in sheet1 and the value is the same as "C9"s value in sheet3 then copy the 7 cells to the right and paste them in the 7 cells right of "C9" in sheet3.
Example: If the value in cell "C9" in sheet3 = "stewart" and the value in "C109" in sheet1 is "stewart" the copy C110:C116 in sheet1 and paste those values in C10:C16 in sheet3.
I guess you wouldn't have to offset, you could copy C109:C116 and paste it to C9:C16 since its the same value.

I need to firstly find data in the main sheet which relates to the activecell and then I want to copy and paste that data into another worksheet.
The simplest of ways I guess would be the .xldown function however this seems to copy the blank cells as well as the cells with data, which is no good. I have therefore written code as below which finds the first cell with data, copies and pastes, then loops.
How do I set the loop to look at the next cell down from the initial copied cell and if there is data in it to paste it into the cell underneath the one I have just pasted into?
Range("D3") = ActiveCell.Offset(0, 1)
SheetName = Range("D3")
ActiveCell.Offset(0, 2).Select

Looking for days and I have tried all kinds of things but nothing works. The lates was the Kickbutt find function. Let me explain what I am tring to do. I have an estimate work book with 11 diffrent sheets of material. When I create an estimate I go thru the sheets and select the quanitity of each material needed. What I would like to do is search thru all the sheets and find all the quanititys in column A greater than 0, the copy the complete row A to F to a sheet named FoxOrd.
Trying AronBloods "Kickbutt find function" seemed to be the code to use but I could not get x = " >0 " to work. So I got rid of all the default 0 in the qty column and just left it blank and changed the code to x = "*" which searched and found all the numbered rows but this included the header row when pasted to the order sheet

Essentially, I have 2 Sheets:
"SheetWSS" = data to be copied
"SheetWSD" = destination of copied data.
Below is a sample of the data in "SheetWSS"
----------A------------------------B-------------------------C
1------Trade ID -------Description---------System no.
2--------579----------------Loan ---------------------- 7
3--------580----------------Deposit---------------------22
4--------702----------------Deposit--------------------- 11
5--------703----------------Loan ----------------------- 58
6--------732 ---------------Loan------------------------66
7--------733----------------Deposit-------------------- 99
etc...(no more than 10000)
Now, an explanation of the data:
1) I work for a small bank (CORP) that takes deposits and gives loan.
2) CORP books these trades using only system no. 7 and 11; other system nos. belong to customers.
3) When a single trade is booked, the 2 sides of the transaction is recorded (by Trade IDs) . E.g rows 2 and 3 relates to one trade. So if CORP loans money with system no.7 to CUSTB, who uses system no.22, it shows for CORP a loan and for CUSTB, a deposit.
4) Everyday, the data in "SheetWSS" is updated with a different number of rows from previous, but the number of columns remain the same.
So, here's what i'ld like the macro to do:
1) Go into Column C, find system no.7 and 11.
2) For each 7 and 11 found, Copy the next row . So if for e.g, system no.11 was found in C4, i want the ENTIRE ROW 5 to be copied.
3) Paste the entire next row in "SheetWSD" until we have a list of all opposing sides of the same transactions initiated by CORP.

Purpose:
Build a roster from:
Sheets(Settings).Range("A21").Value (this value is variable)
Problem:
Find that A21 value in Range T2:T100 (each value in the range is unique)
Copy that value to Sheets("Roster") E8
and the next 9 values to
E14
E20
E26
E32
G2
G14
G20
G26
G32
Reason for posting: I've been trying to do this with vba but sheet formula will probably work, I can always Copy/Paste Special/Values to clear the formula. Keyword searching has resulted in no progress.

I have a excel file with two worksheets. I need to find a specific row in column g, cut the entire row, and paste it into sheet2. I have started off by using this code, that I got off of some site. It works wonderfully in finding the specific cell, but just copys and moves the specific cell into sheet2. Whereas I need it to cut and paste the entire row where it finds the cell that begins with a 3 in column G.
Sub Copy_To_Another_Sheet_1()
Dim FirstAddress As String
Dim myArr As Variant
Dim Rng As Range
Dim Rcount As Long

I have five sheets in a workbook, they are ID, Batch1, Batch2, Batch2 and Summary. Batch1, Batch2 and Batch3 have variable rows of data manipulated based on the data in the ID sheet (using formula, refering sheet ID) and number of rows in Batch1, Batch2 and Batch3 are varied.
On the Summary sheet I want to copy the rows from Batch1, Batch2, Batch3. From some forum, I have the code as below:
Sub MakeSummary()
Sheets("Summary").Select
'Clear the existing values (if any)
Range("$A$2:$D$600").Value = ""
Original = ActiveSheet.Name
Application.ScreenUpdating = False
Application.DisplayAlerts = False
The code is working magic. only problem is, it is copying the formula to the summary sheet from Batch2 and Batch3 sheet (Batch1 is ok, as it is the first row get copied)and therefore the reference to formula is refering to a blank cells.
I believe, it will solve the issue if I could paste the Values (Paste Special -> Values) into the Summary sheet.

I need to copy specific rows that have a specific value in colum B and Colum M to new worksheets.
So from attached screenshot , say for an example macro shud filter rows that have "BigPond" in coloum B ,"RG2" in column M & "INT" in column W and i dont want all cells in these rows , i only want copy cells under column C,AK,AL,AM (in this order) to my other excel sheet that is named "BigPond" and it should paste it starting from Row5?
I want to avoid recording a macro as it selects a range and i am expecting more new rows every week so if a record a macro the cell range for selection changes and i get incorrect result.

I want to run a macro that looks thru column F of all my worksheets (in my entire workbook).
If it finds an x then I want it to copy that entire row and paste it into a worksheet called "old" or a new worksheet or a new document in word (it doesn't matter - just whatever is easiest for my little brain to understand).
I should end up with about 40 rows of data in the new sheet.
(I have some code that looks thru it all and colors the cell blue but I just don't know how to get it to copy and paste the entire row into a new worksheet.)
