Restrict Target Change Event To Single Cell

I'm trying to create a sheet where clicking in a range brings up, in my users words, "a box I can type loads of comments in". They want some kind of flag in this cell showing if comments are posted or not. So far so ok, got the userform to pop up using the selection change event below and dump the actual comments somewhere the user won't look. A rather inelegant IF statement to see if there's anything in the dump cell gives them their flag.

So what's the problem? When I select entire rows, the userform pops up. Is this unavoidable?

I need to hide/unhide a couple of rows based on the result of a formula in the Target Range. Basically, Cell D2 contains the results of a sum (a+ B), if this is greater than 10,000, unhide the next row.

Is there a way to write a Worksheet_SelectionChange (ByVal Target As Range) event in module after creating a sheet in VBA? I constantly delete a sheet, then repopulate it with a new one that is empty, but I need to add some code that happens if they should change a particular cell. It worked when I ran it on a worksheet without refreshing, but as soon as I cleared and repopulated the sheet, it was gone. Is there a way to preserve this?

I have a question on how to define fixed rows on making cell blank on new selection change.
The code below affects all rows under coloumn 1.
Is there any way to affect only eg row 1 to 20?

Long time since i've needed the expertise in this magnificent forum. I Have a problem with the ChangeEvent procedure. I have defined a range of two colums as can be seen in the posted code sample, but the Change Event procedure runs the procedures if ANY cells in the sheet is changed. How do I limit the Change Event to only the two colums that I have specified?

I have this code working fine. It applies conditional formating to two rows ((K3:K65) and (J3:J65)) and checks when a value changes in row B to reaplpy the formatting. I'd like to had add more columns to it. It would have apply the same conditonal formatting on rows ((O3:O65) and (P3:P65)) but when a value changes in row (N3:N65)
So basically, I want to keep the first working part of the code and have it to check at more rows with a different reference for the conditionnal formatting.

I am trying to make a macro run automatically based on info entered in a cell. The problem is I need this code on at least three separate sheets in the work book. It doesent work when I try to use the same basic code. The code I am using is below.

is it possible to have a userform activated as a result of a Worksheet_Change event on more than 2 cells. Currently I have the code below which will activate userforms if either a cell in Column G or a cell in Column T is changed.

Can you have more than 1 worksheet change event on the same worksheet, if so, how do you name it to prevent the ambiguous name error. What code would I need to select a text value in colums e11:e15 based on the cell value in cell named STATE and place the selected value in cell e16. I have, thanks to this resource, one worksheet change event that selects a numeric value from any column E3,F3:F7 and places that value in cell C4. but the same code doesn't work for the new worksheet change event.

I'm trying to run a macro anytime cells G2, J2, M2, O2, P2, S2, V2, Y2, AB2, AE2, AH2, AK2, AN2, AQ2 change.
Right now I have the below code which is working well, but I only have it set for G2. Do you know what the notation is to make the target range multiple cells?
Also, I use the xlDown command in my sorting code, but later on it reverts back to "A5:AT60"... is there any way I can remove these specific cell references? I want to avoid having to re-write the macro every time my selection shrinks or expands.

Below is an example from the ozgrid forum illustrating the worksheet change event. Not sure of the meaning of 'Do nothing if more than one cell is changed" on the 2nd row of the code. Does it means that if a value is entered in other cells, the code will not fire?

When ever I update my external CSV file and hit refresh all data, I get #REF! Errors. The CSV file has a table that changes daily. Thus the "A" Column has a different number of rows depending on the day. The problem is that Monday the CSV file will contain 700 Rows, while on Friday it will have 200 Rows. I end up with a lot of #REF! Errors friday. How do I write the code so that (A561 for example) does not change regardless if it can reference the target cell or not? I even thought of making a macro that just copied the formula into all of the cells after each refresh, but there must be a better way.

Im trying to use an event change to change the sheet name based on a cell value, but my issue is how can I error trap if the sheet name is a duplicate? Here is what I have so far

I have added this bit of code to change the apperance of entered time from 0835 to 08:35

And it works like a charm. Except that if the content in one of the cells later is deleted a "Run time error 13" is the result. Debug leeds to the line "If Userinput >1 Then"
Can this error be avoided..?

Now, that Private Sub works fine if you change the value of R1C1 manually or from another macro.
But if R1C1 is the cell linked to a list box, nothing will happen if you change its value by selecting different items in the list box.

I am trying to capture the value of a cell before a change even. The attached Macro will report the value before the change but does not store it so that I can use it in another module. What I am trying to do is capture the value before the change and then look that value up in another worksheet (in the same workbook) so I can make the same change in the second workbook.
The values will always be in Column B and will always be string characters.

My favorite question in IT was, "Can you recover the file I did not save?" and now I am basically asking the same question.
I have headers on one sheet tied to fields on another sheet. If the user changes a header I would like to display a message that says, "The header you changed, 'OLD MESSAGE HEADER' will no longer match the value on the look-up sheet. DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE"
If they say no then the old header is restored. Is this possible?

I wish to exicute a procedure whenever the dropdown list is changed in that one cell. I have the following code, which works perfectly:

The code points to the next blank cell so the user can input a value. Each time the user enters a value I want to re-run the code so that the colour of the cell changes.
However I also want to perform various calculations on the sheet. However this means the sheet is being changed and so continually repeats my code.
How do I add the following, to my previous code?

I'm trying to create a worksheet change event macro that will change the colour of the cell when you update the value in that cell.
I have column C with 140 rows and when one of the cells in the column is changed by the user, I need the same cell to highlight in yellow. The highlight would then be removed once the user has acted on the change in the value, and that'll be done in another macro.
I understand I need a worksheet change event macro in the specific sheet and need the following code for yellow:

This is part of a macro in a worksheet_change event. When a cell in column J gets deleted by a user, the corresponding cell in column K should also clear. But it's not responding to the delete.
It DOES clear when the other 2 criteria are met (.cells(1,10) = 0 and .cells(i,5) <> "Annuity"). The worksheet_change event should pick up on the cell deletion, but it's not. And column J is already a trigger for the macro to run, so I'm not sure what's going on. Either the trigger is still wrong, the isempty(.cells(i,10)) is not correct syntax, or this event just doesn't respond to cell deletion.
