Upon clicking any cell in Sheet1, it will automatically filter based on cell A and B.
Sheet2
Automaticall display filtered criteria based on double click from Sheet1
For example: when I double click on C1, on Sheet2 will automatically diplay filtered data based on A1 and B1 and same thing goes to if I double clik on C2 on Sheet2 will automatically diplay filtered data based on A1 and B2.
I wonder if it is possible to make a macro that right clicks a cell and then chooses a option from the list?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a macro where I manually select a cell then the macro kicks in to copy and paste the contents into the Find function. From there it goes to another work sheet, clicks on a cell in column one and searches for matching cell contents. Then If false it manually goes back to the original worksheet/cell and then I input a N in the left adjacent cell. If true I enter a Y. Right now I can only run this for the specific cell the macro was recorded for. I would like to expand this.
What I would like to do create a loop in the macro that waits for my cell choice input then continues with the with the Find function. If false the macro should just loop back to the original worksheet/cell and wait for input, ie the next cell selected. However, if true a worksheet/cell is selected, a Y is input and it loops back to the original cell and waits for input.
Need code to allow the sheets in a workbook to be selected from the right click menu

Is there any way, through VBA code, to click a button on a sheet in another workbook. This button has a macro assigned to it. What I need to be done is this :- the workbook which has the button is open. The code should click the button on a specific sheet. On this action, the macro assigned to the button should get called.
I could just call the macro which is assigned to the button in this code. But the requirement is that the button click operation should call the macro.
I have found that one can do quite a lot with the code, but this seems to be one a whole different level. I came across a possible solution in the below mentioned link but it doesnt seem to be working for me. [URL]
a macro that automatically puts the cursor on a pre-specified cell everytime you click on that sheet?
View 9 Replies View RelatedI need to display Excel Sheet in a Browser and I want to disable the Right Click and Menu of Excel(File, Edit).
So in the method Workbook_Open i coded following
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
Application. CommandBars("Worksheet Menu Bar").Enabled = False
Application.CommandBars(" Cell").Enabled = False
Application.CommandBars("Sheet").Enabled = False
Application.CommandBars("Ply").Enabled = False
Application.CommandBars("Row").Enabled = False
Application.CommandBars("Column").Enabled = False
End Sub
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)

Application.CommandBars("Cell").Enabled = True
Application.CommandBars("Sheet").Enabled = True
Application.CommandBars("Ply").Enabled = True
Application.CommandBars("Row").Enabled = True
Application.CommandBars("Column").Enabled = True
End Sub
It works fine, but if I open Excel application before viewing this HTML page(which contains XLS) and then the option are also disabled in Stand alone Excel application. I want to disable option when for this Sheet which is opened.
In a folder I have 2 excel files the the first file called products & contains sheets with the names of each product, in each product sheet I recorded the names of some customers.
The second file is called customers & contains sheets with the names of each customer.
when both files are open & I am in the products file I want to be able to select a product lets say shampoo double click on one of the customers & automatically go to the specified customer in the customers file.
I inserted this code in every sheet of products file & things went fine:
Private Sub Worksheet_BeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
For Each wb In Workbooks
For Each wk In wb.Worksheets
If wk.Name = Target.Value Then
MyWin = wb.Name
End If
Next wk
Next wb
Instead of inserting this code on every sheet module (I might have 60 sheets) I tried to insert it
Just In Thisworkbook module but it didn’t work:
Private Sub Workbook_SheetBeforeDoubleClick(ByVal Sh As Object, ByVal Target As Range, Cancel As Boolean)
For Each wb In Workbooks
For Each wk In wb.Worksheets
If wk.Name = Target.Value Then
MyWin = wb.Name
End If
I have a list of numbers in column B of one sheet.
these numbers are unique and randomly allocated to other sheets in the workbook.
i would like a macro which when a user double clicks on a cell in the list of numbers .. the macro will jump to the sheet containing that number.. (i.e. do something like the find function)...
I have some code below which might be useful for you but I can't work out what I need to write.
i have a workbook , workbook A , workbook A has 5 command buttons with different names on them., i want a macro code , i have some data on workbook A as well , as soon as i click one of the command button suppose user click on B, data gets copied and gets pasted into the workbook B , which is in different folder .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI need to get the data from the sheet 1 added to the sheet 2 by clicking on the ADD DATA button in the sheet 1. The sheet 1 will be filled in multiple times like a form by the users, so once the data is added to the sheet 2 I would like sheet 1 to have no data filled in the column to the right. The data will be only filled in the right column, thus the left column should not be copied to the sheet 2.
View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen right clicking on the sheet tab, I need to know if it is possible to remove the "Delete" from being an option. My workbook is structured to where if a single sheet is deleted, it screws up all my formulas. I tried to just password protect the workbook, but doing that removes the "Rename" function, which I still need.
View 9 Replies View RelatedRE: Macro ActiveX Click Control--It stops when on another sheet
Macro runs OK when run from menu.
An activeX click button was put on sheet B.
Right click the control, View Code, Paste in code from macro, then click button.
It runs the part of the macro that applies to sheet B, goes to previous sheet A, and then stops. The range select line for the named range on sheet A is highlighted in yellow. It stops when selecting any range or cell on sheet A, like B2.
Any idea why this code does not work on sheet A when ActiveX button is on sheet B? Is there someplace else that the control can go? Using Excel 2000.
See part of code below, which starts on sheet B:
' Macro recorded 11/22/2007
Range("SortAll").Select
Selection.Sort Key1:=Range("T2"), Order1:=xlAscending, Header:=xlNo, _
OrderCustom:=1, MatchCase:=False, Orientation:=xlTopToBottom
ActiveSheet.Previous.Select
Range("FormBase").Select (STOPS HERE)
Selection.Copy
Range("Formul").Select
ActiveSheet.Paste
ActiveSheet.Next.Select
FormBase is a named dynamic range
FormBase=OFFSET(A!$A$2,0,0,1,MATCH(1E+306,A!$2:$2))
Is there a method by which I can prevent a user from renaming a worksheet by doubleclicking on the sheet tab ? Please note that I do not wish to use workbook protect method.

I am trying to do is use VBA to move from the diagram directly to the macro number. The Cells on the Diagram have functions in them and there is no reference to what macro goes with which function. My list loocs like this
Macro NumbersFunctionCommands
1001 Lamp On
1002 Lamp Off
1003 (Empty)
1004 (Empty)
1005 (Empty)
1006 CH 611 611
1007 Ch 612 612
1008 Ch 613 613
1009 Ch 614 614
1010 Ch 615 615
1011 Ch 616 616
1012 Ch 617 617
1013 Ch 618 618
The diagram is a 20 by 20 grid of cells that correspond to macros I have a third sheet that has the macro numbers listed in the same format as the diagram. The problem I have is how to read the corresponding macro number from Sheet 3 then find that number on Sheet 2.
I cannot figure out why this setting has changed. When I right click my tab worksheet in Excel to copy or rename, it does not allow me. I will need your advice to re-activate that options so it is visible and not gray. I tried in the VBA workbook properties settings with no luck and also Tools, Options.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a user form where the user selects items from combo boxes or enters information into text boxes. When the user clicks the command button the selections are written to the spreadsheet along with an auto number. I am trying to add an auto date in as well and have been playing with using the NOW() function but I am having some problems calling it. Here is the
Private Sub cmbtnAdd_Click()
Dim NewRow As String
Dim NewNumber As String
With Worksheets("Sheet1")
NewRow = .Range("A65536").End(xlUp).Row + 1
NewNumber = .Cells(NewRow - 1, 1).Value + 1
.Cells(NewRow, 1).Value = NewNumber
.Cells(NewRow, 2).Value = Me.ComboBox2.Value
.Cells(NewRow, 3).Value = Me.TextBox1.Value
.Cells(NewRow, 4).Value = Me.TextBox2.Value
End With
End Sub
I was trying something like this:
Dim NewDate As Date
NewDate = DateSerial(Year(dDate), Month(dDate), Day(dDate))
.Cells(NewRow,5).Value = New Date
I searched a few times for the answer to my problem, using different search terms, but I've come up somewhat empty (this *might* be because I'm not up-to- speed with Excel's terminology?). Anyway, my problem is this: I have a workbook which is designed to track various data for a corporate training course ( sheets for attendance, grades, tool logins, etc). After all of these are sheets numbered 1-25 (we never have more than 25 students in a class, but usually around 20). The numbered sheets correspond to the student's number in the on the class list sheet (so, the first student would have personal "report card" information on sheet 1; the eleventh student in the class list would have their information on sheet 11, etc).
What I would like to do is have some way of putting a button on the class list sheet which would look at student list and rename the sheets to correspond to the student names. For example, if the fifth student listed was 'John Doe', it would rename his personal sheet ('5') to 'John Doe'. Obviously, I would need to do it for all of the students, and IDEALLY it would then get rid of any numbered sheets which are not used (having 21 students would only rename the first 21 sheets, but then hide sheets 22, 23, 24, and 25).
I have spreadsheet with client names. I'd like to build logic that will open a form with client information when a user double-clicks on the client name. But I have a couple of problems.
- First, I'd like to protect the sheet and hide the formulas. But when I protect the sheet, I get the "the cell or chart you are trying to change is protected" error when I double click the protected cell.
- If I deselect the "Select Locked Cells" options when I protect the sheet, I no longer have the ability to double-click on the cell.
how I can double click on a cell yet not allow the user to edit the cell (or see the formula)?
I have a large project that I've been able to move all code from the workbook to an Add-In (except code that's sheet related).
I have one module that refuses to run from the Add-In. In this code
I want a macro I have made to run when I click in a particular range.
The macro I want to run is named: SortSizes
I want the macro to run when I click any cell in the range: A12:A4000
with some code and instructions to do this.
I have many workbooks that I receive from clients I run various Excel VBA macros on depending on which workbook it is, and I need to automate all of this so that anyone can run an simple .exe user interface designed in VB 2005 Express Edition where when that interface is run, a window opens on the destop with a collection of buttons, when the user clicks one of the buttons, Excel launches, loads the appropriate file and runs an already-existing appropriate Excel macro, then some file maintenance is done, like moving a group of files from one subdirectory to another.
