Jan 11, 2010I am trying to track the amount of time something is open for. I would like to break this down into 30 min, 2 hour, 4hr 8 hr and greater than 24 etc... I am using this formula on a field that has total minutes. However with this formula most of them end up being older than 24 hours when they are actually not, it appears the 2 hr works. I think I am missing some logic.

howveer if i want to count those records in one column that meet a condition and those records in another column that meet anyone of a number of conditions how can i do that?
the only way i can think is like the below
=sumproduct(--((columnA=apple)*((ColumnB<>Red)*(columnB<>Yellow))))
Rather than having to eliminate red and yellow i would like to say is green or blue.

Nov 3, 2009I have attached a spreadsheet with a small indicative data set to assist in understanding. I am trying to count the number of documents each individual has assigned to them that are not yet 'completed' (ie REGISTERED, IN WORK, REVIEWED). The problem I am trying to overcome is that the document state can be 1 of several values indicated in the same column.
I have tried using this SUMPRODUCT formula:
=SUMPRODUCT((($E$2:$E$11="REGISTERED")+($E$2:$E$11="IN WORK")+($E$2:$E$11="REVIEWED")*($B$2:$B$11="Jones")))
but it is generating incorrect values!
Specifically:
- Jones shoulld return 1
- Franks should return 3
- Smith shoudl return 0

Jan 10, 2014I've not used SUMPRODUCT previously and can't understand how to get results for the attached.
I've tried SUMIFS but it doesn't work because I'm looking down columns and across rows, I'm assuming.
I've attached a summary of what I'm trying to achieve. I want to sum all costs with an R,P,I,G, etc. in column C for December '13 (E3) in the top table.
The second table is actually in a different sheet but is the source of the data I need added.

Aug 10, 2009I am trying to find a formula to count rows that meet multiple criteria, but one of the criteria can be multiple values. I have a list of people with a list of clients that they are responsible for. Each person is responsible for 10-20 clients. Every day I run a report that shows the project worksheets submitted for each client and if money has been awarded or not.
I'm wondering if there is a way to count, for each person, the number of project worksheets that show "awarded" in column K. That would mean that I would have to look for, for each person, any of their multiple clients in column B and "awarded" in column K.
I am trying to put the formula in D2:D9, as I use A2:D9 for a chart. O1:P79 contain the names of the people and the applicants that they are responsible for. A17:D158 contains the list of project worksheets (updated daily). I used =SUMPRODUCT(COUNTIF(B17:B999,P1:P14)) to count the actual number of project worksheets for each person, but I can't figure out a way to modify that to add in the "awarded" criteria also.

Column A is the building number
Column B is the Area in metres squared
Column C is the tenant name
What I want to do is sum the vacancy (in sqm) for each building.
Ie, look at column A and choose the rows relating to a particular building, whose number is in column D1
Then look just at those rows and select those tenants named as "vacant"
Then add the areas from column B of those vacant plots.

I would like to count the number of consecutive times each number appears (to a max of 9 consecutive times in a row). So, from my example above:
Number 1 appears:
1 consecutive time = 1 (appears in row 1)
2 consecutive times = 1 (appears in rows 4 & 5)
3 consecutive times = 0
4 consecutive times = 1 (appears in rows 7, 8, 9 & 10)
Number 2 appears:
1 consecutive time = 4 (appears in row 1, row 3, row 5 & row 7)
2 consecutive times = 1 (appears in rows 9 & 10)
3 consecutive times = 0
4 consecutive times = 0
Number 5 appears:
1 consecutive time = 2 (appears in row 2 & row 10)
2 consecutive times = 0

Count Rows On Multiple Sheets - Paste Values In Summary Sheet
Jun 30, 2014I am trying to count the number of rows on sheets 11 To 2 in my workbook. I want to count the rows (excluding the header) on each sheet one at a time and place them on a "Summary" Sheet. So for example. The row count for Sheet 11 would go in cell B2 of the "Summary" Sheet. The row count for Sheet 10 would go in cell B3 on the "Summary" tab. The row count for Sheet 9 would go in cell b4 on the "Summary" Tab. I have taken a crack at the sub procedure but can't get the syntax and/or the logic correct.

Using SUMPRODUCT To Get Count
Dec 5, 2013I'm trying to get the count of all cells in column F of one workbook that have a value of "RES" or "RET" and put that count in cell B2 of another workbook. At first I tried COUNTIF but quickly realized that it doesn't work when the other workbook is closed. I tried this, but it gives a REF! error:

Sumproduct To Count From 2 Conditions...
Jan 7, 2009I'd like to use a sumproduct function to count 2 conditions. I want to add the number of times the number 0 is entered in Column D when a 1 is entered in the same row within Column C next to it.
I'm using the formula below yet its wrong.... it gives the answer of 7 rather than 1 (see data in attached file).

If date = day/month/year I would like to count the whole month instead of the individual days. am I making sence? Let me give you another example.

I have different products like rismo 12, rismo 100, rismo 200.
But i want to count them all.

I have a requirement to count how many of a particular type of entry there are, this needs to be done in groups, e.g, counting attendance bonuses which are included in entries, F5,F6, F8 and F11, (i.e. in one cell i need to total how many F5's,6's,8's & 11's are in that row?!). i just cant quite seem to get the formula right to count them.
