Match Two Cells And Subtract

Aug 6, 2008

My workbook has 3 worksheets in it, Data Entry - Components – Jobs. The first worksheet contains 2 buttons to enter new data via user forms. The second worksheet has 3 columns in it, component code, date, quantity and they are populated via a user form. The third worksheet has 4 columns, component code, date, quantity and Job number and it is also populated via a user form. When a person enters the data into the job user form and then clicks the command button to add it to the spreadsheet I need it to also find the matching code in the component worksheet and subtract the job quantity from the component quantity. So if the component worksheet has Envelope1 with a quantity of 25,000 pieces and I enter a job that used 10,000 of Envelopel1 the component worksheet would be updated and only list 15,000 pieces.

VBA To Subtract Cells If Negative - Row Number Change With Loop

Apr 26, 2012

I have a database of over 200,000 parts

In this database i have cost and sale price. 20,000 parts have the numbers backwards.

if you loop the rows you can subtract =SUM(AE2-Y2) if that number is a negative number I would need the value of AE copied to Y2 and the value of Y2 copied to AE2. the 2 being the row number which would always change with the loop.

Copy A Range Of Cells In Another Workbook Opened In A Separate Instance Of Workbook

Feb 11, 2010

I m not able to use the standard Excel Paste Special function when I copied a range of cells in another Excel workbook opened in a separate instance of Excel. Instead, Paste Special thinks that I have copied some non-Excel objects and gave me the Paste As options. This is not the case if I open both workbook within the same instance of Excel. Could you share with us if there is a trick to trigger the normal Paste Special options in such situations (without having to invoke Macro procedures)?

If Two Cells Are Blank Return Blank - If One Has Date Subtract Today Date

Apr 24, 2013

Using one spreadsheet with three date columns and two columns counting days.

If there is a value in Resolution date, then Column N is blank
If there is no value in Submit date and Resolution date, then Column N is blank
If there is no value in Resolution date, and there is a value in Submit date, subtract Submit date from todays date to show how many days it has been pending approval

Created on = J4
Submitted on = K4
Resolution Date = L4
Days to Approve = M4 I've got that formula =IF(L4="","",L4-K4)
Days Pending Approval= N4 (cell with formula)

If Resoultion Date L4 has a value, return blank
If Submit on K4 and Resoultion date L4 are blank, return blank
If Resolution date L4 is blank, and Submit on K4 has a value, subtract Todays date from Submit on K4 to show Days Pending Approval

VBA - Copy Cells From One Workbook To A Different Workbook

Mar 22, 2014

What I am trying to do is let a user open 2 different excel files and then copy the values from one of the files into the other. The problem I'm running into is that some of the cells aren't in any kind of order that allows for a range, or at least to my understanding of how a range works in VBA. So from the first sheet I need to take the values of [N53, M53, P53, AC53] pasted into [D26, D27, D28, D29]. I'm thinking that maybe this is something that could be done with an array, but I'm still much of a beginner in programming so I haven't gotten it to work.

Copy Filter Data And Paste It On Another Workbook With Special Cells (Only Visible Cells)

Apr 12, 2014

I am using code to filter my 4 sheets Greater then 0 (zero)

After apply above filter now i need to copy multiple rows and paste on another specific workbook for paste i m using below code:

for 1st sheet with the name ("V2")

for 2nd sheet with the name("LV")

For 3rd sheet with the name ("F2")

and 4th sheet with the name("L2")

If I play above code one by one all is going very well,,,,,,or if use in this way all is going very well

But here is a big problem..........if any sheet have no value greater then 0(zero)....then code paste all data... e.g shssts("LV") .Range("C5:C54").Copy but C5:C54 have no data greater then 0(zero) and it will paste on another sheet c5:c54 and again new sheets data will paste below the c54 while c5:c54 have no data.

So I want if any sheet have no data with range is greater then 0(Zero) then skip the copy paste code or use like SpecialCells(xlCellTypeVisible) .
