View 5 Replies View RelatedLook within sheet "highlowperf" column K and copy the row containing cells that are filled green in column K into sheet "overallperfomers" starting from row 9 within the "overallperformers" sheet until completed. It needs to be from row 9 as i have other data above this which i need to keep intact.
Further to this i do not require all information from the row that is found to contain a green fill. I wish to copy columns A B C D E F G K.
If this second part is not possible I can settle to just copy the whole row over and i will try and work around.
I have a column that shows green when a target has been reached.
On a separate sheet, in the same workbook I have the number of days which target has been reached in the month. At present I have to update this manually, is there a way to automate this?
I have attached a small file with a very simple conditional formatting formula used to turn a block of cells green.
However, the formula does not seem to work properly as it only turns half of the cells green. Columns B1 to B18 are also supposed to turn green, but instead remain clear.

I have a simple spreadsheet and am trying to get some Conditional Formatting to work.
Cell1 = Name
Cell2 = 1
Cell3 = 2
Cell4 = 3
If cells 2, 3, and 4 all match I want the background in cell 1 to change to green.
I've tried (Formula Is =B1=C1=D1 green) with no luck.
I have attached the relevant spreadsheet for which I need to alter the color of the columns based on Site number ( Sheet 1). % Mortality will be represented in the Y-Axis, and the Site numbers would be on the X-Axis. All columns (% Mortality) except one will be of the same color, and the one of a different color will indicate a specific site. As an example, site 86 is colored differently. The way I require the chart to look is shown on Sheet 1.
After reading through some great posts on Ozgrid, I managed to do this using conditional formatting (Sheet 2), but that sort of falls short because I am required to add a data table to the chart, and the parameter that is indicated by the column bars happens to appear twice in the data table.
I was wondering if this can be automated maybe using VBA, but with the possibility of simply matching the color of columns with the font color of respective entry in the data series.
I am looking for a very simple script that will achieve the following:
On the clicking of a button, Select and shade in a cell yellow, delete the yellow shading of the previous cell. The shading & selection should move up a column of cells, 1 at a time, in the following order:
From B10 to B9, then B9 to B8, B8 to B7 etc until the selection and shading is at B2. Once it is at B2 subsequent clicks will simply keep it at B2 (the top). Thus after 8 clicks the shading & selection should travel from B10 to B2, with only 1 cell being shaded yellow and selected at any one time.
I have a spreadsheet that i download from the net daily, which is seperated into columns of information.
I want to be able to look down a column and mark a cell in a seperate column if the cell font text is red.
For example looking down column A ... if the font text of a1 is red then mark the cell background colour of T1 red - if a2 text colour is red then mark the cell T2 red .... etc etc.
If the font colour in a1 or a2 ... etc etc is any other colour then do nothing.
I have 5 columns I wish to look down and mark in 5 seperate columns - I have tried to do this by conditional formating but don't know the fomula for checking font colour.
I have these light blue lines showing up on my sheet. I have "not boarders" selected and they do not print - but I can see them on the screen. Does anyone know how I can get rid of them?

I am currently trying to have a green traffic light appear in a cell if another particular cell has the numerical value of "1".
for example, something along the lines of: =if(A1=1,"image1.jpg","").
Now, i know the above formula doesn't work but is something similar possible?
Is there a way to light up a row when a cell in that row is selected?
I'm working within columns A through H.
I attached herewith a file filled with Countif, sum, or, and. I look for a VBA to get lighter file. Because the file in fact will be filled up to 40,000 rows.

My manager wants a to be able to pick a color (Red, Yellow, Green) from a drop down menu and then have that be displayed as a red, yellow or green traffic light. Using the conditional formatting option, I'm only able to use numerical values or a formula. I'm hoping there's a way to either create a drop down list with the 3 different colored traffic lights or a way to use VBA to have the conditional formatting search by text instead of numbers.

- red if the value of a cell on a seperate sheet (date) is greater than 18 months old
- yellow if the value of a cell on a seperate sheet is 'In progress'
- green if the value of a cell on a seperate sheet (date) is less than 18 months old
What I need to do it create a traffic light icon, just the ones in Excel based on the dates within the field. If there is a date present which is past todays date then I would like it to display the green traffic light icon, if the date present is scheduled for a future date I would like the amber traffic light to show, and finally if there is no date present at all I would like it to display a red traffic light icon.

- If A3 is blank, cells have no format
- If A3 has a value, with A4 blank, fill is light blue and bottom line solid, top line dotted
- If A3 has a value, and A4 does too, fill is light blue, top and bottom line dotted
- If H3, which is a date field, is greater than today font is black, if less than today, font is red
I'm trying to work out to most efficient way of making a quality monitoring system which uses traffic lights to show problem products.
The traffic light system need to obey the following "rules".
Each product is tested once daily When a product fails once it moves to Amber, When a product Fails twice in a row it moves to RedOne pass when a product is in Amber Status, will reset it to green.If a Product is in Red status, it much have 3 consecutive passes to reset to Green.
I have tried to use array formulae to look up a column for previous values in the past for this sort of thing, but with 100000+ rows it runs far too slowly.

I am new to excel and need a formula for conditional formatting. In E1 I will be putting a date for the month and in cell J1 I want it to highlight green if there is a date in E1 and if there is nothing in E1 I want it to be red.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI am trying to create a formula that looks at a spreadsheet containing training percentages for employees. I need to look at these percentages and based on the date that the person started I need to look at certain rules. First it needs to look at what has happened more recently , moving to a new department or promotion. Next it needs to use that info to decide which rule to use. Ex. the person started 90 days ago then they are subject to rule A. The training percentage then needs to be looked at to see what rating they have. EX. percentage < 90% but > 75% gives a rating of 1. percentage than 50% gives rating of 2. percentage < than 50% rating of 3. Rule B would contain different criteria. My problem is that I tried nesting IF statements but I need more than 7. When I tried to do this in VBA I couldn't get it to work.

Viewing a macro, the background is green, some of the code is black on green, but most is black or blue in white boxes cut out of the green. The code appears normal on another computer.

My target is £xxx a month, but as I could contribute loose amounts of money I'd like to be able to display a field next to each month of how much over I've contributed or how much under I've contributed.
I'd like this to be represented as:- If I contribute more than £xxx for a month then display it as green text and calculate how much over has been contributed.
If I contribute less than £xxx for a month then display it as red text and calculator how much under the contribution has been. I'm really not sure how to do this, I would do it manually normally but surely there is a way of automatically representing it.
If the results are < or = to 60, then I want result to be green. If the result is > 60, then I want to result to be red

In fact it is so simple, it is just 2 sections.
I want one section to be GREEN, and the other section to be RED
Green is good, Red is bad, of course, just like traffic lights.
So, how do I get these colours to be green/red. Not worried about which data series (of 2) is a particular colour, I can swop these easily.

I am using Excel 2010 and basically i am trying to fill a range of cell with a green color if any value was enter in a specific cells. Example: I would like to fill range: A10:c13 with a green color (regardless of the cells content in this range) if a value was entered in cell C10 or C11 or C12 or C13.
I've tried conditional formatting but unfortunately I'll have to apply formatting for every cell and for a range of over hundred cells is not efficient.
I have a query where I am trying to find out how many people passed in green, amber and red from a series of data. I know (from the attached file) how to find out how many greens, ambers and reds there were, but how can I find out how many of the 7 in cell B12 passed in Green?
