Update Some Type Of Tables To Run Program

I am looking for an example of some type of tables that are used in combination with programming in VBA. I know some about excel and some about programming, but I don't know a lot about both. A programmer was telling me that I could use some type of table that could be updated via a basic excel user to run a program in VBA in the background of excel. This user could update the table when things changed and make the program look for those changes. I am not sure how this works so I am asking for any example anyone has out there to give me an idea on how it works.

I'm having a problem with data tables. Actually, not with data tables, but links to data tables. Calculation is set to be automatic and values within data tables update alright, but links to those values do no update. So you may have a certain value in one cell within a data table, for example cell B5, and a different value in another cell which is just a link to cell B5.

I want the script to find if the value entered in the form is matching the values in column 'A' in the database and if it matches then it needs to select the cell as active cell - to populate the form details. And if there is no matching value found, the script needs to select the last empty cell of the column 'A' to populate the data entered in the form.
1) Form has 10 different fields that needs to be filled by the user.
2) Field 1 - is a text box for 'Request #' to be entered by the user.
3) After filling in all the fields - once clicked on OK, the form should search for the the 'request #' entered on the form in the database (Form and the database are in the same workbook).
4) If the 'Reqeust #' in the Column 'A' matches the the 'Request #' entered in the form, then the matching cell should be selected (Activecell -Were the data can be overwritten, with the new entry)
5)If there is no matching 'Request #' found in the database, the script should loop to select the next available blank cell in column 'A'. So that the form data can be entered.

trying to get pivot tables to automatically update every 4 minutes.
I have 3 worksheets:
worksheet 1: SCANNER, this sheet pulls in data externally using an =RTD links
worksheet 2: RAW, this manipulates the data above, and this is the data used to create the pivot tables
worksheet 3: SUMMARY, the pivot tables are here, there are 9 of them.
Worksheet RAW, changes every so often, and every 4 minutes I would like to have the pivot tables AUTO REFRESHto make sure its using the latest data from RAW.
I see options to autorefresh on the opening of the workbook, but cant see anything to REFRESH EVERY X MINUTES.
Is there any way to do this with VBA ?

I have 3 pivot tables on the same page - they all have the same PAGE and ROW fields, just different column and data fields. (may seem weird, but I'm producing reports for non-Excel people and this seems the only way to display info in user-friendly way).
Problem: If a user changes the selection in a Page field, I need the other 2 pivot tables to automatically select the same Page field, so the pivot tables are still all like-for-like.
I've started writing a macro which I can run to do this - below - but
1) I need it to run automatically when any of the page or row fields are updated
2) my macro is probably far too basic for my needs - one of the page fields has 245 values, so the below isn't really going to cut it!...

I have ~ 300 pivots (one on each tab) all linking to one data set in the same workbook. I realized that I neglected to select the year 2006 in my column label for every pivot table and hoping that there is some way to
simultaneously update all pivots to include 2006 data instead of manually checking the box off one by one.

The spreadsheet is comprised of 4 sales data sheets, one for each store. Each of these sales data sheets runs several pivot tables (One for dept sales, one for waste, one for sales on Selected UPCs etc) and I used to have 1 copy of each pivot table for each store (ie 24 pivot tables). Now I have found a way to have only 1 copy of each PivotTable which changes based on which store is selected using the following code:

This works great however I was repeating it for every pivot table I had in the spreadsheet, causing messy code and file corruptions.

Using Excel 2010. I'm writing a macro that sets up a workbook to be used for estimating at the beginning of a project. In the code I need to create multiple tables (formerly known as "lists") in the workbook. Then later in the code I need to refer back to those newly created tables. Currently, the code that creates the table is part of a loop that creates the table on many different worksheets. The problem of course, is that I have to name the Table, and then it won't create a table of the same name on the next sheet. Then, later in the code, I need to make adjustments to the table that was just created before looping to the next sheet.
Is there a way to create a table without giving it a constant name? Or by giving it a name that builds off of other info in the sheet? For example, I would be good with the naming the table after the sheet name: "Sheet1_Table" or such.

Let's say that in column A I have numbers,"Yes" and "No". I want in column B to have only the numbers from column A, in the same order without any empty ranges, and everytime I add in column A a new number, column B to update automatically with that number. Let's have an example:

And if I want to add in column A:

So the column be will update automatically. I already tried =IFERROR(INDEX($A$1:$A$10,SMALL(IF(ISNUMBER($A$1:$A$10),ROW($A$1:$A$10)),ROWS(B$1:B1))-ROW($A$1)+1),") but using this many times get's my file very heavy and the excel is working slow.

I have some VB code which sequentially opens over 200 workbooks to extract data from each and populate another workbook. These workbooks do have links to other workbooks in them.
For some reason when some of these workbooks are opened I get a requestor window asking whether I want to Update or Don't Update the data. I always want to Update the workbook and believe this can be done in VB by hiding the requestor?

I have a vlookup to another workbook. It works fine if both workbooks are open. But if both are not open and I open the workbook with the links and click Update, #VALUE! returns. When an .xls file is double clicked, Excel opens with the following error message:
'F:Program.xls’ could not be found. Check the spelling of the file name, and verify that the file location is correct.
If you are trying to open the file from your list of most recently used files on the File menu, make sure that the file has not been renamed, moved, or deleted.
When the dialog box is clicked, another error message is displayed with the same words, but with the file name 'microsoft.xls'.
I have tried un-registering and re-registering Excel, and uninstalling and re-installing all of Office 2003.

I would like to know if it is possible to run a macro from excel for another program and then have results imported into excel.
Currently I have a program called Reflection WRQ that I run a macro in and the results are captured in a text file. Then I run a macro in Excel that imports that text file. If possible I would like to have my macro in Excel run the command in Reflection and then import the results in Excel.

I have data in an Excel worksheet that needs to be entered into a proprietary programme. I believe this is possible using SendKeys but as I need to keep switching back to Excel to get the next bit of data I am unsure as to how to go about this. The program would already be open as it is a dial up situation and I would have to dial into the relevant site first.

I am making a Program search tool for my company. I would like the operator to type a part number into a cell. If the part number is valid (from a master list on a different sheet), then I would like to pull the information from the master list and populate a few cells on the search worksheet.
Example:
An operator types: "W3303-01" in a cell and clicks a button. The macro would populate cells on that worksheet with information from another worksheet that pertains to "W3303-01"

I've just begun a C&G in VB for work even though at work we use Excel, I'm trying to convert the program we did this week so that it works in Excel. Basically I want to click on the Font button and have the font dialogue box come up and let me change the font in the label (if the checkbox is ticked), hope it makes sense, this is what I have but it doesn't work and I cannot work out why.

I start my excel program from a "Shortcut" in "Folder 1".
That shortcut points an Excel program in "Folder 2".
When Excel is started,
Parent.Path returns "Folder 2",
but I really need to know what "Folder 1" was.
It seems that should be available as
when I do "Save File As"
it is pointing to "Folder 1".
Is there a way to find what "Folder 1" really was from the VBA enviornment.

Now the list is, if the quantity column for the "Productx" is >=1 than whole row will add to the "Order", if not skip it, i have the formula in the "Order" block A2.
i will have about 6-7 list for "product", now in my file is only 2 Product list (Product1, Product2) and now i want to add more for this, like Product3, Product4....... so i think i need to add program for this and also some expert user also tell me need to add VBA for this.

I am trying to access another program via Excel VBA. The idea is that, we fill out out time and attendance sheets for work on excel workbooks. But, we have to go into a terminal program to enter this information so it can be uploaded to whereever it goes.
I am able to get the Shell command to work. But, it will be riddled with sendkeys commands and application.wait. I am sure that this is not the best way to program something like this. I believe I read that for this to work that it has to be COM compliant. I don't know. The program is a Java based terminal program.
This works for me

what excel can process without having the program crash. Our company is using an old dos program to store payroll information (don't ask -they won't change it). Anyway - I have the ability to use pervasive software to pull the information into excel.
The problem here - is that the information is stored line by line. And in order for me to get useful information out of it, I need to sort those lines by date and a task code.
Here's the formula I am using.
