Apr 8, 2008I wanted to create a userform with multipage. On the first page I want to use a ComboBox that would allow the user to select the customer. The customer name is on the sheet that I named "Customer" which also contains the street address/city/state/zip. What I would like is, once a customer is selected, I want a textbox that will be populated with the correct address taken from the sheet named "customer".
On the second page I'd like to use it for Product Info. I want to have a ComboBox, Text Box, a Command Buttons. The ComboBox is to select the "Model#" from the sheet named Product Info" and the TextBox is for the user to write their comments. One of the Command Button is to be view a sheet named "Quote" and the other is to send the "Quote" through email.

May 18, 2007I know how to create a basic dropdown list, but what I don't know (I don't even know if it is possible to do at all) is how to allow user type-in response if the "Other (please specify)" option is used.
Column A
Question 1. What type of report are you using?
Column B will contain
Type I Report
Type II Report
Other (please specify)
If Type I or II is chosen from the list, I don't want user to be able to change anything. But If the Other (please specify) option is selected I would like to give user an ability to type in type of the report he/she is using. Also, is there a way to have list options chosen based on another list response?
VBA Userform Combobox - Select Starting Point Of Dropdown Data?
May 22, 2014Is there any way to set the list from a Combo Box to automatically start in the middle?
Whenever I select a Combo Box, the drop down list always automatically starts at the top of my selected range, ideally I would like it to start in the middle.
For example my Range that I am filling the Combo Box with lists dates: Today()-7 to Today()+7.
At the moment the first item in the combo box list is Today()-7, I would like it to be Today().

In cell B4 I have data validation drop down list which refers to the range of values named Tarifalist. Tarifalist list has the following range of values: 01,1A-1F / DAC / 02 / OM / HM / 5A (Baja) / 5 (Baja) / 03
In cell B5 I have a data validation drop down list with =IF(OR($B$4="03",$B$4="OM",$B$4="HM"),Thirty,ThirtySixty) Where range Thirty has the value 30, and ThirtySixty has values 30 and 60
I would like in addition, a Macro which when either 03, HM, or OM is selected in cell B4, that it automatically sets the value to 30 in cell B5. The purpose is so that the input is foolproof, and no user can accidentally leave the value at 60. As of now, if the value has been left at 60, and 03, HM, or OM is selected in B4, B5 can stay at 60, which is not a valid input and must be manually changed.
Automatically Select Item From Dropdown List
Apr 29, 2014I have two cells and both have a drop down list. I would like Excel to automatically select an item from the second drop-down list based on the manual selection of the first drop-down list. The second cell needs the have the dependent item appear in the second cell not just be available in the drop-down list.
For example, Cell A1 has a drop-down lsit of the names of fruits, vegetables and flowers (apples, bananas, carrots, carnations, corn, daisys, tomatoes, zuchinni). Cell B1 has another drop down with three items (fruits, vegetables & flowers) which needs to be dependent on the first list. Further, I would like cell B1 to automatically select the appropriate item.
For example, if "carrots" is selected in cell A1 then I would like "vegetables" to be selected and automatically appear in cell B1. If "carnations" is selected in cell A1 then I would like "flowers" to appear (not just be available in the drop down).

The user picks a theme, and goes to a second drop down which is a list of sub-themes attributable to that one theme and no other theme.

Up and down arrows allow me to highlight an item but I cannot find a keystroke that allows me to select the highlighted item. Instead I have to lift my hand off the keyboard and use the mouse.

Feb 17, 2014I have a sheet with a data in range A1:J9. I have a drop down list in each cell from A2:A100.
I'm trying to store all values in A1:J9 in an array using the property CurrentRegion.value like below

The issue is that is taking as current region the range A1:J100, even if I don't have selected any value in the drop down list from A10:A100.
Is there a way to force CurrentRegion to select only values from A1:J9 ignoring the blanks dropdown list values or a similar way to load an array with values in a contiguous range?
Display A List Of Cell Entries, Allow The User To Select Which To Delete
Sep 16, 2009Hoping someone would be able to help me with this. I have a sheet (example attached) and this sheet has a number of varying description types in the W coloumn (usually approx 10,000 rows). This field is manually input so there could be spelling mistakes and/or non standard descriptions.
What I would like, if possible, is a macro that would look at the D column and if this is 'GENERAL LEDGER', it would then look at the W column.
An input box would come up, and would list the different descriptions it found in column W, and number them. It would only list each different description once.
e.g.
1. Bank charges
2. Bank charge
3. Cash
4. Fund Custodian Fees
5. Fund Manager fee
6. Interest income cash account
7. Interest income cash acc
8. Miscellaneous expenses
9. Miscellaneous income
10. Other income
11. Sec lending comm
12. Sec lending commission income
13. Tax Reclaimable - Dividends
14. Withholding tax dividend
The user would then be able to type in the corresponding numbers, if possible seperated by a space, comma or semicolon and the macro would then run through the sheet and delete the entire row if D was GENERAL LEDGER and W was the selected description.
Automatically Select Item From Dropdown List Based On Cell Text
Apr 8, 2013I have a spreadsheet where user can search for information inside a search box and the appropriate rows are returned using formulas.
I have a drop down list (Category: Model) in the search box as well as a search field (Category: Program, cell D2). Underneath the search box, search rows are returned with column categories: Program, Model, etc.
What I require is that if a user enters the specific program into the search field D2, then the dropdown list would automatically choose which model that program belongs to based on the returned row.
For example, if I typed "engine" into D2 and pressed enter,
Under the records section (Row 14 and beyond), the following record will pop up:
Program
Model
Indicators
Engine
F-16
3a
Based on the record, F-16 would be chosen from the dropdown list. Is there any way this can be done?

Adding Text Entered In Userform Combobox Into Dropdown List
Aug 1, 2012I am not sure if this can be done easily but essentially what I have is a userform that fills out a form that will used by several different people and saved to a central location.
There is a blank combobox currently labeled "Supplier:" that each person fills out each time on the userform (there are no dropdowns yet).
What I am wanting to do is for every person who saves (I have coded the save button) with the "Supplier:" combobox filled out to save what they entered and input that into the combobox dropdown so when the next person uses the userform the entry the previous person entered would be in the combobox as an option to select.
Essentially, a combobox populates itself based on what previous users have entered into it.

Oct 12, 2013I have a list of employees that can be assigned to tasks, the list is large enough that I cannot remember who is assigned to what.
All the employees assigned major tasks are automatically filtered out but these are employees with administrative tasks that should only be assigned as a last resort. I would like to assign the employees with administrative tasks a gray, italic, strike-out or some other font to indicate that they are different.
I assume this is done during the Add Item process...

Nov 29, 2011The code below adds the date to D:D once the user enters data in B:B and then adds the time when the user selects from a dropdown in C:C. When they have finished the task they enter anything into F:F and then it enters the end time in G:G.
This works well except for one flaw and one modification that I can't get to work. I have found that people retrospectively change the activity in C:C which causes the start time to change. I would like to avoid this hapenning if possible by putting some code in to stop this. Also I would like the times to be related to the push of a button on the sheet and therefore need different code.

Within the game there are a range of spawned resources that appear for only a short time before being unobtainable these resources have specific types that is shared between multiple spawns of the resource but each resource spawn has a unique name.

Jan 3, 2014I am trying to make a dynamic chart with a drop down/cell selection. I have a table with names vs. months. Each name/month has an associated value. I want to display a bar chart that I select with a drop down. i.e. If I select January, the chart will show january's data. If I select February, february's. Etc.
I tried to set my series values as: =indirect($C$1) where C1 is the entry cell for the month and the value corresponds to a named range. I get an error that says "That function is not valid."
When I try to put just the named range, excel highlights the correct range but then tells me that "the formula you typed contains an error. Try one of the following..."
