VBA Userform - When Submitted By Email The Attachment Is Blank.
May 5, 2009
I am very new to VBA and I am trying to create a userform which can be filled in and then when command button "submit" is clicked the completed form is emailed to myself. I have created the code for this but the userform is arriving as a blank attachment.
I am trying to do it write some code which will take the activesheet & allow me to email it as an attachment (outlook) - sounds simple, but it's proving a nightmare
Is it possible to have a column with several email addresses and have a macro that emails out with an attachment of a word document? If so how is it done? I dont want to attach any workbooks or sheets just an word file. Furthermore I want to do this via excel not word. Also if its possible I would like to keep a single subject heading for all of them.
I've been searching for a way to save a copy of a workbook as an .xlsx by bringing up the save as dialogue box so the user can name and choose the location and then to open a new email with the send as attachment function so the copy can be sent to user defined recipients.
Any similar requests that I've seen are asking for a specific file name and specific directory.
I have a VB code that pulls up my Email client and emails out the workbook as an attachment. I would like to change the code so that it just emails out the worksheet i am currently on and not the whole workbook. Can this be done? I have added the code.
I have created a userform in Excel. The information from this userform is saved into a word document using a command button. What I would like to know is can I use vba to, not only create this word document but also, to send it as an email attachment at the same time? Just to make it a bit tougher - I'm using Groupwise as my email software.
putting a macro button on an individual worksheet so the user can click a big easy button and a new email will pop up in Lotus notes with the worksheet attached for them to input the address and then send the worksheet..
I prefer to:
Send individual worksheets only
The ability to input the email address is the new composition email in LOTUS Notes
If a certain email comes into a mailbox with certain parameters eg subject and from criteria is met. Then extract the data from the email attachment (daily order) and add it to a master sheet containing all orders.
I was able to create a macro that saves an email attachment based on the subject and then move it to another folder. I would like changing it to do the same thing only based one the sender’s email. I have it currently reading the save path and subject from the Excel worksheet.
I have used a database template from this site and changed it to suit my needs but I have a bit of a problem with some of the code. I know how to update the worksheet with the relevant userform text fields and in another project I did I have successfully sent userform text fields in the body of an email.
For this project I want to update the worksheet AND send an email at the same time. However, using the two pieces of code together is causing an error that I can't seem to solve (using my very limited vba knowledge!). The code I am working on is below and I have highlighted the line that is getting the error message. C
VB: Private Sub cmdSubmit_Click() 'Submit new record Dim ws As Worksheet, lRow As Long, Str As String [code]....
I'm working with an excel file, a userform and a command button. The command button is the main question here. Bascally when this button is clicked and email is sent to a specific person, me. This email also contains an attachment, and currently that is the active workbook open behind the userform. This works well, sort of. I sent this excel file to 5 co-workers to test. All but 1 worked OK. One, however, did not.
When the button was selected the standard Outlook message came up: "...an automated email is being sent on your behalf...select YES to continue..."...It all looks fine, but nothing happens...nothing shows up in their sent items folder and I do not receive this message.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a sitting with this users Outlook that prohibits the sending of automatic emails? I've added my command button code below...incase someone sees thing strange...(I am rather new to vba coding...)
I've create a userform1 that sends information via email. I have seen userforms that do the same, but that after sending, the sent email doesnt show in the sent items from outlook.
The userform has 2 tectboxes and when the person sends the email the text from the second box comes right after the first one, no space or anything. How do I separate the text by space or paragraph.
I have cobbled together a userform that works great, it prints, saves and clears as desired. Now i want to email a copy of the userform to a specific email receipiant.
I am trying to set up something similar to the old "print dialogue" box whereupon the user presses a command button on the userform and all sheets within the work book are listed (eg:sheet1, sheet2 etc) The user can select any amount of sheets and and using "OK" outlook is fired up- pretty similar to Ron de Bruins code for email.
I have tried taking the print dialogue vba and stooping it at copy, then trying to gets Ron's code to continue- without success.
There are great bits of code I've seen for select tabs and selct sheets from listbox, but I have found none to email once selected.
I am trying to create a spreadsheet to monitor behavior modification progress for children. I need to figure out a way to be able to send an email notification when there is a blank cell in a column that has been there longer or equal to 24 hours.
I am working on a code which works, however, its is not working entirely as i intended. In this example, the body of the email should contain content from textbox.
I have 3 text boxes, not all are expected to be filled out. So if only textbox1 is filled out, the body should only include information derived from textbox1.
Whats happening now is that even if textboxes 2 and 3 arent filled out, the body of email produces blank formulas from textboxes 2 and 3. So how do i fix this code so that if I enter data into textbox1 only, the body of email will not include empty formulas? Ive also attached a copy of the Produced email file. Code in question is in red font
I need to make a userform that will add data to table placed (for example G12:H12), and if G13:H13 cells are written to next cells below (G14:H14). I would also want to receive auto email noticiation (or notofications by pressing another command_button) that someone add data with copied content of (G13:H13...G14:H14....) cells in email body.
I have a macro which copies worksheets from the current workbook and pastes into different csv files. I want to add into this macro after copying and pasting into the csv a popup box/form which asks the user "Would you like to e-mail to shops/teletext?". This box/form would have a Yes and No button.
If they press yes then the macro will continue and select worksheet 'selections' and send to recipients as attachment. If possible i would also like to automatically fill in the 'to' box in the new e-mail as these addresses will be the same three addresses each time. If they press 'No' then the macro would just carry on to the next point.
way to send only one worksheet of a workbook to an email contact as an attachment. When your in excel you can click on file and select sent to (as attachment); however this attaches the whole workbook. I do realise that I could copy the worksheet that I want to send to another workbook by itself and then send it. However this is time consuming. Anyone know of a way to just send 1 worksheet from the workbook to an email contact as an attachment? I also know that I could copy and paste the worksheet directly into the email.
Sometimes when i run code under a command button on a pop-up user form, the contents of the userform go "blank (i.e., border stays on, so you can see that the form is still there, but the contents are all "white"-you cannot read/see any of the content...
What could be done to prevent this from happening (presently, i just have the mouse cursor displaying while code is running?
I have set up a form to deposit data into excel database and automatically email recipients with a generic notification when the form is submitted, the form is then cleared. I have also included a print button on the form which can be used to print the completed form. Is it possible for when I submit the form for the email to automatically include an attached image of the completed form??
I have an excel sheet contains data of 500 staff code and email address . I also have their pay slips in a folder with staff code.pdf as file name. i want to send corresponding payslips through mails as attachment from the folder using excel vba My excel file is like this
staff code name email id w4246 rajesh rajee@tm.co.in
On a userform, I have three textboxes, one listbox, and an OK button. When the user presses the OK button, the information in these boxes is pasted onto a worksheet. I am wondering how I can detect if any of these boxes have been accidentally left empty, so as to prevent the user from pasting an incomplete entry onto the worksheet. This is what I have so far (this is part of the routine that executes when the OK button is pressed):
If EnterGrowerTextBox.Text = "" Then MsgBox "Please Enter the Grower Name" Exit Sub End If If EnterAmountTextBox.Text = "" Then MsgBox "Please Enter the Number of Chicks" Exit Sub End If If EnterBreedTextBox.Text = "" Then MsgBox "Please Enter the Breed" Exit Sub End If......................
