way to find out if an Excel file is open from PowerPoint. I know there are ways to open the Excel file, but you can get a warning message if the file is already open. So I want to check to see if it is open first before I go to the code that opens it.
This excel includes some text data, in each cell there is an email address along with additional text. I only want to get the email addresses from the entire data.
I am trying to do it write some code which will take the activesheet & allow me to email it as an attachment (outlook) - sounds simple, but it's proving a nightmare
Is it possible to have a column with several email addresses and have a macro that emails out with an attachment of a word document? If so how is it done? I dont want to attach any workbooks or sheets just an word file. Furthermore I want to do this via excel not word. Also if its possible I would like to keep a single subject heading for all of them.
I've been searching for a way to save a copy of a workbook as an .xlsx by bringing up the save as dialogue box so the user can name and choose the location and then to open a new email with the send as attachment function so the copy can be sent to user defined recipients.
Any similar requests that I've seen are asking for a specific file name and specific directory.
I am very new to VBA and I am trying to create a userform which can be filled in and then when command button "submit" is clicked the completed form is emailed to myself. I have created the code for this but the userform is arriving as a blank attachment.
I have a VB code that pulls up my Email client and emails out the workbook as an attachment. I would like to change the code so that it just emails out the worksheet i am currently on and not the whole workbook. Can this be done? I have added the code.
I have created a userform in Excel. The information from this userform is saved into a word document using a command button. What I would like to know is can I use vba to, not only create this word document but also, to send it as an email attachment at the same time? Just to make it a bit tougher - I'm using Groupwise as my email software.
putting a macro button on an individual worksheet so the user can click a big easy button and a new email will pop up in Lotus notes with the worksheet attached for them to input the address and then send the worksheet..
I prefer to:
Send individual worksheets only
The ability to input the email address is the new composition email in LOTUS Notes
If a certain email comes into a mailbox with certain parameters eg subject and from criteria is met. Then extract the data from the email attachment (daily order) and add it to a master sheet containing all orders.
I was able to create a macro that saves an email attachment based on the subject and then move it to another folder. I would like changing it to do the same thing only based one the sender’s email. I have it currently reading the save path and subject from the Excel worksheet.
My task here is to generate email automatically. When i enter x to run the sub findvalue macro.
Any cells on the column D that has the value of 10 should generate email with the message body, subject and email address automatically.
Example if there are 3 task that are 10 days to deadline, 3 email will be generated after entering "x"
I have edited the Sendmail sub to locate the email's body, subject line and email from the excel.
Code: Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) If Target.Cells.Count > 1 Then Exit Sub If Target = "x" Then If Not Intersect(Target, Target.Worksheet.Range("G2")) Is Nothing Then Call Findvalue End If End If End Sub
Code: Sub Findvalue() Dim Rng1 As Range Dim foundemail As Range Dim a As Variant Set Rng1 = Range("D2:D10") For Each a In Rng1 If a.Value = 10 Then
Set foundemail = Sheets("Email").Range("A:A").Find(What:=Cells(Target.Row, 1), _
I'm trying to create an excel macro that can send emails with an attached file per row of my entry in excel I imagine it would be like the screenshot below. I've tried the code in the link below from a macro tutorial website but wasn't able to make it work due to error DataObject is unkown I'm using excel 2013 and lotus notes 8.5 as my email.
I've got a file that works fine on my computer. When I email it to anyone with 2010 and they open it from their email account (Outlook 2010), the file automatically opens up in 'Protected Mode'. If the user selects "Enable Editing" the user receives 'Run Time error 91: Object variable or with block variable not set'.
If the user closes out the vba error and saves the file to their computer and reopens the file, it works fine.
BTW, it is not a complex macro, it is error out at
I have some VBA code that allows the user to open a linked powerpoint presentation from an Excel workbook. It works well but it does not ask the the user to update links so if the Excel book has changed the powerpoint stays the same. I am very new to VBA so I tend to copy things that work but don't always know why! Anyone out there know how to get it to update links automatically or at least ask the user to do so? Here is the code:
I have an excel sheet with 25,000+ emails in column A with hyperlinked emails addresses, Column B has different Subject lines based on the category the clients belongs to but on the same sheet, Column C has the following hyperlink :
=HYPERLINK("mailto:"&A2&"?subject="&B2,"Email")
To create a hyperlink of the email address with the desired subject line.
macros that i could use to open about 25/50 outlook message with the email ids in column A of the sheet and the subject lines in column B.
I don't want the messages to be sent automatically but i want to have the option to change the body of the email if necessary.
I have a Macro in Excel 2010 which emails each tab to a distribution list.
However Outlook asks for permission each time to send the email, is there a way to disable this ?, or get Outlook to grant permission for a set amount of time ?
I want to create a communication excel sheet. I want it in such a way that if any one of the team member make update and save the file, then the whole team should receive an email that the file has been updated.
I have an Excel sheet that I use as a mailing automatism for reports. As it currently is it attaches an actual copy of the excel workbook to the email and send them out. The mailer contains several different people, and they get different report each day. Due to the size of some of the files, I am starting to run into an issue where I cannot sent the emails anymore because they are too big, so I am wanting to switch to sending links to the files instead, and I have hit a wall.
I use Lotus Notes 8.5. The VBA will cycle through a range, and each cell has a list of report delimited by a ",". It takes the list and passes it to the mailer as a string. The mailer takes the string, turns it into an array and splits it out, and then checks to make sure the reports are current. One email could have up to 10 different reports in it. I have tried creating an HTML MIME email to include the links.
Here is the code I currently have:
Code: Sub Send_HTML_Email(ByRef Name As String, ByRef Address As String, ByRef Reports As String) Const ENC_IDENTITY_8BIT = 1729 'Send Lotus Notes email containing links to files on local computer Dim NSession As Object 'NotesSession Dim NDatabase As Object 'NotesDatabase Dim NStream As Object 'NotesStream Dim NDoc As Object 'NotesDocument
I would like to generate a blank email with a list of recipients (no more than 40) in the 'To' field. I would like to do this in a single click on a cell with the text 'newsletter group' in it (cell B17). The recipients email addresses are in the format of one complete email address per cell in a column starting at C17 (C17, C18, C19, etc...). I thought I had found a way to do this (using the hyperlink function I think, but can't quite remember)but it turned out you could only string together about 8 email address before the function stopped working.
Also just to be clear, I don't want to send the workbook to the recipients.
