I have a list of months in column A and would like a formula in column B that calculates the number of calendar days for each month (i.e. Jan=31, Feb=28 etc.)
I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
I'm working on a complex A/R aging summary. So Ill have couple of question, but right now I'm trying to have excel automatically keep track of the A/R process. For instance every business day I would like the number of days the Invoice is outstanding to go up by 1. So when I get to work on monday the invoices that have been due for 20 days will now show 21 without me touching it.
I have a worksheet where in column B I have a vendor name, column E I have a date value and in column AF I need to calculate a due date based on 7 working days for vendor A and 14 days (not working days) for vendor B. I've tried to write an IF statement but can't do it. Can anyone suggest the right combination of IF/AND statements that would do this? I attach the workbook should my useless attempt at explaining my problem be unclear...
I am looking for a formula that looks at a date and could add business days to it.
for example:
If the date in a field is Monday, 15-dec-08 and my formula is to add 5 Business days (mon-fri) to it not including that date. The desired result would be Monday, 22-dec-08 but my formula gives me 20-dec-08
Column B is number weeks until next appointment - 4. Column C is the answer Friday 2nd December if the normal result is a Saturday or Sunday then use Friday.
A B 1 4/1/09 12:15 2 4/2/09 10:00 3 4/4/09 8:10 4 4/6/09 9:00 5 4/8/09 5:00 6 4/11/09 7:00
I need to add up hours worked of last 3 days including current day. The date column does not contain everyday's date. How do I formulate a cell for date entry and another cell will show the sum of last 3 days including date not shown and date entered? E.g. If I enter date 4/6/09, result should be 17:10 hrs; 4/11/09, result should be 7:00.
I have some cells which must be in the format 15/06/2007 15:25
I then need to add either days, months or years onto it.
Say the above date/time is in cell A1, when I do =YEAR(A1)+5 it displays 2012 if I choose the general cell format, but when I select the same cell format (date time) it comes out as 04/07/1905 00:00
I am trying to get the results of the number of days between today and a future date. I am using ="cell containing futuredate"-today() and it gets me the correct number of days. The problem comes in when I have yet to populate the future dates. I am getting -39991 (numeric value between today and jan 01 01) and because I am also using conditional formatting this is even more of a problem. Is there a way get excel to display nothing if it is a negative number? or to give a specified resut if the number becomes negative such as Expired or something of that nature?
I need a formula that will calculate the number of days from a date entered into cell A1 to today's date. Whether it's before or after todays date. Example:
I have two columns of dates, leave start and end dates (when people start leave i.e. annual leave). Would need to introduce column(s) to calculate how many days fell within the month including the end date and excludes weekends.
For example, if the staff on leave from 31st March to 6 April, i need to show that the number of leave taken as 1 day in March and 4 days in April.
I'm having a data only pull week number and year. We are using Fiscal calendar starting in July. For example, A1 = Week number and A2= Year. How to set up a formula to retrieve a date for this? If A1 = 2 , A2 = 2013, the date will be 07/14/2012. I want the date pull of on Saturday every week.
I was wondering if anyone knows how I could enter a date in one cell, then another date in a second cell and in a third cell have it have it so it minuses the first date from the second and calculates the difference outputted in number of days.
I need to create a formula that states a delivery date when the order date is entered in an adjacent column. Items ordered on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will be delivered the Friday of the following week, eg. ordered 23rd April 2008, delivered on the 2nd of May 2008. Items ordered on Thursday or Friday will be delivered on a Friday 2 weeks later, eg. ordered on the 24th April, delivered on the 9th of May 2008
I currently have a worksheet that when a user clicks on the cell, a calendar form opens. From here they can select a date, click ok, and the date gets placed in the corresponding cell they clicked on.
Now if the user needs to change that date, i want them to be able to click on the cell again, and when the calendar opens, the date in the cell would be selected on the calendar. I was able to do this in a userform, but im not sure how to edit it to work on the worksheet. I am using the below to populate the calendar.
Code: private sub worksheet_selectionchange(byval target as range) if not intersect(target,range("aa16:aa24")) is nothing then .show calendar When the user clicks the date, the below code places it in the cell.
Code: private sub ok_click() with active cell .value=calendar1.value end with unload me end sub
Now the below code was used when I was using a userform, but im not sure how to edit this to pull the date from the active cell.
Code: privatesub userform_activate() me.calendar1=date if not tb is nothing then if isdate(tb.value)then me.calendar1.value = tb.value end if end sub
I have a program where I can update the calibration due date of an item. I have attached a cut down version of my program showing the relevant areas. There is usually password protection on the worksheet so it can only be edited via the form (the vba coding removes the password protection before editing, then re-enables the password protection after editing). The "Update Calibration" button is usually on a "Menu" sheet.
Once the form is opened a serial number is typed in the textbox. The calendar button is then clicked, which brings up another form with the calendar on. The due date is selected on the calendar. When "OK" is clicked, the date label caption is then changed to the selected calendar date. When "Submit" is clicked, the spreadsheet will search for the Serial Number, once found, the label caption (being the date selected) will be entered into the cell to the right of the serial.
If the day selected on the calendar is greater than 12 the date is entered correctly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 15/01/2010. shown on sheet as 15/01/2010. However, if the day selected on the calendar is 12 or less, the date is for some reason entered incorrectly onto the sheet. example: calendar date selected = 08/12/2010. shown on sheet as 12/08/2010???? What is going on here? how come the day and month are swapped around if the day is less than 12????
I want to select a date of choice from a calendar in a field within an Excel spreadsheet.
I do not know how to do userforms and so that is why I wonder if I can add this in just a spreadsheet.
This is how far I have gotten so far: After doing the following, I have a static calendar setting in my spreadsheet like a text box showing the current date.
Developer Insert More Controls Calendar Control 12.0
I need to calculate on a spreadsheet the number of days between a specific date and the date the spread sheet is opened. I need to know the number of days a merchandise has been stored.
Need to calculate the number of days in December between two dates 11/20/2013 and 1/20/2014, how many days are in december? a formula that can calculate this?
I need to have a cell with a date in it then the next cell needs a formula to caluclate how many days it has been since that date???? I'm a real novice with excel.
i am trying to get the number of days from last time ticket paid till todate, considering the day & month of the hiring date but the year of the last time paid. say AAA hired on 15-Nov-2001 receives a ticket every 24 months; received last ticket in Nov 2011.
i want to count the number of days between 15-Nov 2011 until 31-Jul-2013 (dd & mm are from joining date yyyy from last time paid) i have a list of 1200 names with different dates of joining and different dates of payments.
I'm trying to create a new column which calculates the number of days from the today's date to the due date of an invoice. Also a Column that an invoice is/was overdue.
Column A - Clerk inputs date that invoice was received Column B - Clerk inputs the date that the bill was paid Column C - Auto populates the due date of the invoice (20 days after the invoice is received) Column D - I want a number of days to auto populate based on today's date that will show how many days we have to pay the bill. Example: today is 2/19/2014, bill is due 2/22/2014 (Column C), column D should read 3 (I would prefer is the number is black for "we have days left to pay", red for "we're behind") *Extra bonus for Column D, if the column goes blank after a date is entered into Column B* - but not necessary
Column E - I would like if the date the bill was paid (Column B) is greater than the date the invoice is due (Column C) to show "Overdue" in the cell.
I have a spreadsheet that contains dates in format mm/dd/yyyy. Lets call this Column C(Paydate). In Column A I have a date that needs to be a 2 business days before the paydate. If this date in column A winds up being a Saturday or Sunday, the function needs to return the previous Friday. If the date is any weekday then it should return that weekday
For example: C1 = 10/18/2013(a Friday) then A1=10/16/2013 C2 = 10/14/2013(a Monday) then A2= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/14/2013 is a Saturday) C3 = 10/15/2013(a Tuesday) then A3= 10/11/2013(the previous Friday since 2 days before 10/15/2013 is a Sunday)
