Date In Cell - Adding Work Days
Nov 11, 2011I have a date in A2 7th Nov 2011
Column B is number weeks until next appointment - 4.
Column C is the answer Friday 2nd December if the normal result is a Saturday or Sunday then use Friday.
I have a date in A2 7th Nov 2011
Column B is number weeks until next appointment - 4.
Column C is the answer Friday 2nd December if the normal result is a Saturday or Sunday then use Friday.
Im wanting to calculate then no of days between 2 dates. The first one is variable.
Date 1: (Contract start date) Either the date entered in a cell A1, or 01/04/2008 - whichever is later
Date 2: (Contract end date) Date entered in cell A2.
example 1:
Date 1 = 1/1/8
Date 2 = 31/12/8
In the above example i would want the calculation to work out the n o. of working days between 1/4/8 and 31/12/8
example 2:
Date 1 = 1/5/8
Date 2 = 31/12/8
In the above example i would want the calculation to work out the n o. of working days between 1/5/8 and 31/12/8
This will allow me to calculate the number of contract days in this financial year, even if date 1 was in last financial year.
I want to put a date in one cell then in the next cell i want it to add 60 days automatically, so to give the new date.

I have a worksheet where in column B I have a vendor name, column E I have a date value and in column AF I need to calculate a due date based on 7 working days for vendor A and 14 days (not working days) for vendor B. I've tried to write an IF statement but can't do it. Can anyone suggest the right combination of IF/AND statements that would do this? I attach the workbook should my useless attempt at explaining my problem be unclear...

for example:
If the date in a field is Monday, 15-dec-08 and my formula is to add 5 Business days (mon-fri) to it not including that date. The desired result would be Monday, 22-dec-08 but my formula gives me 20-dec-08
I'd like to add a number of calendar days to a date shown on Col A
I have 2 columns
a margin with a row number --- and Col A
When I try to add say 50 to the Col A ie =A261+50 to get 50 cd from cell A261 ----
I get a # problem
Tried to place 50 in a cell and then add the 2 cells but got the same result -- #
Can I use the margin row number to add to -- this would work well as I'd get the Row number which would also be the date.

2 4/2/09 10:00

5 4/8/09 5:00
6 4/11/09 7:00
I need to add up hours worked of last 3 days including current day. The date column does not contain everyday's date. How do I formulate a cell for date entry and another cell will show the sum of last 3 days including date not shown and date entered? E.g. If I enter date 4/6/09, result should be 17:10 hrs; 4/11/09, result should be 7:00.
I have some cells which must be in the format 15/06/2007 15:25
I then need to add either days, months or years onto it.
Say the above date/time is in cell A1, when I do =YEAR(A1)+5 it displays 2012 if I choose the general cell format, but when I select the same cell format (date time) it comes out as 04/07/1905 00:00
I want to calculate the end date of my German courses. This is how it works:
A course consists of 60 LU*. The course can occur i. e. three times a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In each day the course lasts 2 LU, which means 6 LU each week. There is no course on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday and on holidays. Therefore this type of course that begins on 18-Nov-2013 will end on 03-Feb-2014.
Another course which occurs Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, and respectively has 2 LU on Tuesday, 2 LU on Thursday and 3 LU on Saturday and starts on 03-Dec-2013 will end on 06-Feb-2014.
Therefore I want to create a worksheet where I set the start date, choose the days and respectively the LU amount on those days. The end date shall be calculated according to these criteria.
The workday function on excel cannot do this and I do not have any programming skills to work with VBA.
Legend:
*LU = lesson units; 1 LU is 45 minutes
Holidays:
28-Nov-13
29-Nov-13
08-Dec-13
09-Dec-13
25-Dec-13
31-Dec-13
01-Jan-14

I need a formula that will calculate the number of days from a date entered into cell A1 to today's date. Whether it's before or after todays date. Example:
5/10/2009 to today is -9
5/22/2009 to today is 3
I have column B with a heading "Days Remaining" and column L with a heading "Deadline". starting with row 5, I need to be able to enter a date in L5 and see the days I have left, from that day untill today, on B5. I need to then be able to enter a date into L6 and see a result in B6 and on and on. Then I need to be able to insert or delete a column and have the formulas still work in the columns with the heading "Days Remaining" and "Deadline"

B1-End Date Mar/31/2014
C1-No Of Days 22
D1-Days between two dates 21
E1 To E10-Holidays

B1-End Date Mar/31/2014
C1-No Of Days 27
D1-Days between two dates 26

Note : Any weekend (off days) dates listed in holidays should not effect the query.
How do i count no of days in a month; excluding saturday & sunday.

I'm having trouble getting the days since count to work correcty. It works fine when only counting the number of days that have elpases between a number being drawn in a lottery draw (Main numbers Only), and it being drawn again as a main number. However if I try to include the bonus ball into this count, it just returns an error. I've tried altering the old code, but I can't get it right. I've included 2 old codes as an example. Sorry I can't include the full programme as it's huge, way to big for this forum.

My Spreadsheet is like this
A1= 01/01/2008 ( Date)
A2= 30
A3= =WORKDAY(A1+A2,0)
I am expecting the result to be 11/02/2008, but i am getting 31/01/2008.
I have a date in a cell and need a formula that will calulate the next 4 days excluding weekends and holidays. I have search and found where one can do more complex items but not just a simple formula. I have attached an example.

Variables:
- 'Date Received' (H11)
- 'Date Actioned.' (I11)
-'Response Time' (K11)
Constants:
Work Days = Monday to Friday
Work Hrs = 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM (no lunch break)
Public Holidays = (AC13:AC30)
Formats:
Date Received: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm AM/PM
Date Actioned: dd/mm/yyyy hh:mm AM/PM
Response Time: d - hh:mm

I want to enter the word 'Closed' in cell B1 when the due date in cell A1 is exceeded by 272 days. I have tried using conditional formatting and excel accepts the formula but nothing seems to happen. Here is what I have tried;
B1=IF(A1<=NOW()-272,"Closed")
way to get a worksheet to display workdays that exclude public holidays? I have used the Workday() function, but this keeps displaying the date over xmas. Is there an easy way to do this?

So i gues with the first code there is something wrong with the date formating. But i do not understand why the second code does not return simply return the value: 1.
I have a date in col A and a time in col B. I'm trying to use an if function so that if time in Col B is greater than 15:30, the date in col A is returned plus one day. If time in col B is less than 15:30, date in col A returned with no change.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am trying to find a formula that will return the number of week days between two dates. My specific situation is that my job sets up work orders (WO) to be completed by our staff. We have 3 dates - the date the WO was created, the date the WO is due to be completed, and the date the WO was actually completed.
I would like to subtract the Complete date from the Due date. Generally, this should always equal zero because our staff should be completing WOs on the due date! But obviously that doesn't always happen. There are times that they complete them late, and times they complete them early (yay!).
The problem with NETWORKDAYS is that even when they are completed on time, the result is 1. This formula counts instead of subtracts. I adjusted the formula to =NETWORKDAYS(A3,A4)-1 which works fine for those WOs completed on time or completed late. But for those completed early, it adds (or subtracts, really) 2 days. So for a WO completed a day early, instead of it showing -1, it shows -3. I've attached an example of WOs and the NETWORKDAYS formula I've used so you can see.
Subtract Days.xls
I'm really looking for something that will subtract week days, not count them.
I developed a 14-day work schedule and I assigned each different job position a number. The different job positions are numbered 1-6 and are as follows: #1=5:30am-1:30pm, #2=6:00am-2:00pm, #3=9:30am-1:30pm, #4=12:00pm-8:00pm, #5=1:00pm-8:00pm & #6=6:00pm-8:00pm. Numbers 1,2,4,5 clock-out for a 30 minute lunch break, while the other numbers do not.
My goal is to insert the numbers 1-6 into the spreadsheet throughout the 14 days for each employee, and have Excel calculate the total number of hours for each employee in the far right column. I would also like "V" & "H" to equal 7.5 hours. This would save a lot of time instead of going through and adding up the hours with a calculator
I am creating a problem report spreadsheet for work. In col C I have a date/time that the problem started, eg, 23-Jun-2006 15:20 and in col D I have a date/time for when the problem was resolved, eg, 26-Jun-2006 15:40. I need to calculate the amount of hours that we were not available for use (due to the problem). This is based on a list of available hours. Eg, on Mondays we are available 19.5 hrs, T-F 22.5 hrs, Sa 14.5 hrs, and Sun 0 hrs.
If I do a straight subtraction, it uses 24 hrs for each day - not taking into account our available hrs. If I do NETWORKDAYS it automatically doesn't consider Sat or Sun - and i need it to - and it does have a DayEnd and DayStart but it assumes they are constants. I found the day corresponding to the date and thought I could determine the series of days between it, e.g., if the start day was Friday & the end day Monday, the series in between is Sat & Sun. Then I could do a lookup on all 4 days in a table & add them all together. But I can't figure out how to do this!
I am looking to to hide rows of info on a sheet when it shows 3 days have passed.
I am also having a problem making the formula stay in the sheet columns without it showing 'blank' cell results..
If cell a1 equals todays date add cell b2s value to it and put the new date back into cell a1.
