Changing Formats Depending On Data From Dropdown Box?

I have a table showing data for 10 teams. There are however 10 different measures which are pulled from a seperate sheet using a dropdown box to select the measure.
One of the measures is example 390823 which needs to be format 390,823 so that thousands are shown, and other formats are, example, 89.9 which need to be 89.9%.
Ive gone to my other sheet and all the raw data is showing correctly with % and ,s. But my dashboard table can only have one format. How do i make it so that each measure pulls in the correct format when selected, without dragging the whole area and changing each time?

I have a small problem using the ‘sumproduct function’ which I am using it to calculate the area under curves using the following equation (=SUMPRODUCT((B10:B109-B9:B108)*(D10:D109+D9:D108))*0.5). However I have hundreds of curves to calculate the area under and the length of the data series for each curve is different, I am currently changing the length of the data series by hand. I have attached an example worksheet of 2 sets of data (the formula I am using at the moment is highlighted in blue – row 203). Is there are function or formula that I can use inside this equation to change the range of the formula depending on the length of the data series?

Changing the data based on a drop down selection. My drop down list is based on the months I need the data (percentages for each person) to change depending on which month is chosen. So If I select Jan, the percentage fills in for each person. I've attached an example.

the following i have 1500 rows and around 15 columns to change. format says 1.49-2
I need it to say 01:49.2
when I highlight it and go into format cells. and change it to min:ss.0 it changes to the following 48:28.8. i have included a file for you to see

Code be to change the number format of the range H21:H37 on my attached spreadsheet from the currency format with the $ symbol and 2 decimal places whenever cell H20 displays "UNIT PRICE" to a number utilizing the comma seperator and with no decimal places and no $ symbol whenever the cell H20 displays "SHIPPED"?

Situation:
Colours randomly change when the following is carried out Change the colour of any cell containing data to any colour (The txt format - not fill) Change to another tab, come back and the colours have randomly changed Turning the bold seems to make this issue greater When selecting a cell(s) to highlight them and changing their colour. The right colour can be seen through the selection. When the selection is de-selected by clicking elsware - you guessed it the cell colour changes again.

it is possible to change the colour of a cell text and / or cell background depending on a value.
For example I have currently 2 cells with numbers in
G3 = 4.38
K3 = 8.68
What I wolud like to happen is for the cell with the lowest value to change to Red.
The Column letters will always remain the same but I do plan to add a lot more rows.

I'm looking to use a drop-down to allow me to highlight a complete row depending on what I choose, each row is unique.
So if my drop-down is say 20 different words and I choose "Oil" I want it to look down the table and highlight the row that shows oil prices.
Example of column A might be as shown below (Starting in say A3).
(A3)Petrol
(A4)Wood
(A5)Oil
(A6)F/Fuel
(A7)Other
From my drop-down located in A1 I choose "Oil" I want it to select only row A5 and either highlight it or blank out the rest.

how to make few dropdown lists depending on one before.
Example: I have table with next data: COLUMN A: (A1) Expense Type ( in all columns under A1 are types of expenses );
(A2) total trip cost;
(A3) Prize promo tour cost;
(A4 ) court renting cost;
(A5) Prize IPP cost
In columns B1, C1, D1, E1 are cities. Under each city is value for type of expense. I have uploaded worksheet for example.
Now, problem is next: I am trying to make drop down lists ( in new work sheet ) by using depending data from data table.
1.I made drop down list in first cell (let's say it is an A1 cell ) where I can chose city ( for example City of Zagreb ).
2.Then in next cell (B2) I would like to choose type of expense in drop down list ( for example Total trip cost ).
3.Finally, in C3 cell I would like to make drop down list that offers me just expense value for combination of chosen city ( Zagreb ) and chosen expense type ( Total trip cost ).

I would like to use or not use a dropdown list in data validation depending on the value of another cell. The application is to be able to choose a state from the dropdown list only if the country selected in another cell is "US". If the country is not US then I want the user to be able to fill in free text and there be no dropdown list. I know it's possible to have a dropdown list and allow entries without it being on the list but I need the dropdown list not to appear at all if the value is not US.

I'm putting together a spreadsheet to do with football betting, that involves calculating various stakes and odds and probabilities. I've done pretty well, but I want to take it to the next level.
At the moment, I have 4 sheets which are completely self contained:
sheet one = betting on 2 matches
sheet two = betting on 3 matches
etc
This was the easiest way to do things when I was learning.
Now I want to look at incorporating more flexibility into my spreadsheet. I want to investigate the possibilities of having a small form to be filled in, such as the following:
Number of matches to bet on... a drop down menu for the user to choose from
and then for the visible area of the sheet to change to show the appropriate layout for their selection. So they'd choose the number of matches they want to bet on, and the spreadsheet would display what they need automatically.
I've looked at putting forms in and think I could do that quite easily, but how can achieve the effect of changing the layout/visible area depending on the chosen option?

I have bunch of sheets lets call them
Germany, France, Belgium, Poland, Russia, Data
In the data sheet I have in F1 "Germany", F2 "France", H1 "Belgium", H2 "Poland", H3 "Russia"
In each of the sheets (appart from data) I have a validation list in cell D6 listing the data sheet values F1,F2,H1,H2,H3.
Now basicaly what I need is when I select Germany from the list it would take me to Germany sheet, when I select Belgium from the list it would take me to Belgium sheet etc.
Basically the sheets have always same name as the name in the list. I know i can write the code in individually but because I have a lot of these I was hoping there might be an easier way?

Any way to apply a formula to a cell depending on what choice is made from a drop down box in a cell that it refers to.
Hypothetically:
I have a drop down box in A1 with 2 options: Cookie Making Costs - or - Cake Making Costs
In cells A3 through A10, I have cells with the costs for all the ingredients (and B3 through B10 for cake ingredients).
If I select Cookie Making Costs, I would like B1 to apply a formula that sums up all the costs associated with making cookies "=sum(A3:A10)"
If I select Cake Making Costs, I would like B1 to apply the sum of the cake ingredients "=sum(B3:B10)"

I have 3 different tables on a sheet which I want to do a vlookup on depending on the selection from a dropdown.
I created the ranges I want to use in 3 cells and tried to reference the cell rather than the range. Excel no likey:
=vlookup(B2,A1,2,FALSE) instead of =VLOOKUP(B2,D1:H14,2,FALSE)
Is there anyway I can do what I am trying to do?

I inherited a worksheet with 70k+ rows of data. As shown below each row contains a record number(Col A) with the date(Col B) it was created and value(Col C). There are 5 records per day. You can see in the example below that Col A has the value 30 duplicated for each day. Is it possible to rename only the second "30" in Col A for each day?

I'm having a difficult time figuring out out to coordinate two cells together.
If a "1" or "2" is entered into cell A1, I would like cell A2 to have a drop down menu show a "0". If a "3" is entered into A1, I would like B1 to have a drop down menu show "1" or "2". If a "4" is entered into A1, I would like B1 to have a drop down menu show "3" or "4". Lastly, if a "5" is entered into A1, I would like B1 to show "5" or "6".
I don't know if this is possible without using VBA.

I have a cell in my spreadsheet that I use to control the size of a column. I formatted the cell as a number and added data validation to make sure the number is greater than zero. Then I realized that I need to also allow for the option of auto sizing the column as well. This would require a data validation list type with something like True and False for the choices.
What I want to be able to do is have it both ways. I want a drop down list in that cell with the options Auto Size or Custom. If Auto Size is selected the cell value gets set to that. If Custom is selected I then want to be able to type in a number.

Is there a way to setup a cell such that the value is either an item from the drop down list or, entered directly (depending on the list selection)?
I know I can do it with dependent lists but that would require two cells, one for the auto size mode (true/false) and the other for manual width value.

Using macro's on Excel 2010. What I'm trying to do is create a macro that will copy a range of cells from one sheet to another depending on a option being selected from a drop down box. I've tried to use formulas but without success.
sheet 1 contains a list of approx 20 people with rows containing sales figures per week.
Is it possible to have a macro that will copy the rows to sheet2 depending on the dropdown? The drop down has already been setup with people's names
E.g.
if sheet 1, cell a1 (with data validation setup) dropdown contains "mr smith", copy sheet2 row A1:A9 to sheet 1 cell a2
or
if sheet 1, cell a1 dropdown contains "mr cooper", copy sheet2 row B1:B9 to sheet1 cell a2
etc... for each name in the dropdown
The idea is so that i select a dropdown and it copies the sales figures that match the dropdown name, if i then select another dropdown, the corresponding figures are copied to the same place.

I am trying to develop a worksheet that will adjust dates based on a selection from a drop down box. I can do basic formulas in excel
I am trying to get the drop down box in "Revisit Type" to include three selections ("Sanitation", "Spark", and "High Five"). Once the dropdown box is created I want to be able to make a selection and enter an initial visit date under "Initial Visit Date" then have the "Earliest Return Visit Date" and the "Latest Return Visit Date" automatically populated based on this information below:
Sanitation or Spark = 10-30 day window
High Five = 10-21 day window
I am at a loss . I have attached a sample of the workbook for reference.

I have a workbook with several sheets and named ranges like ES_Date, ES_Range, ES_Volume or MC_Date, MC_Range, MC_Volume. The 1st two letters are the name of the sheet where the named ranges are located (one is dates, another volume, etc.).
What I'm trying to do is calculate averages, extract maximum and minimum values from the the named ranges using a start and end date that are entered in cells "H6" and "I6". The formula I am using right now is:

I'm working with Excel 2002 on Windows XP.
I want to select more than one drop down box at the same time, and copy them as well as rename the cells they refer to.
For example: in A1 there will be a box with LinkedCell set to A1 and ListFillRange set to B1:B5. I now want a similar box in A2, with A2 as LinkedCell. However, when I copy past the box in A1, it still refers to A1 and B1:B5 (the last part is ok). I can easily change A1 to A2 by just changing it in the properties, but the thing is that I also need these boxes in A3:A100. Is there any faster way of changing this?
Also, the ListFillRange might expand in the future. Therefor I would like to know if its possible to select the boxes in A1:A100 and change the ListFillRange to B1:B6 for all at once.

I have a problem (I have intermediate knowledge of Excel): lets say that I have two model years for Cadillac: 2013 and 2014, and have 3 car models for year 2013 (ATS, XTS, and CRX) and two car models for year 2014 (ELR and CTS Sedan). I want to create a dropdown menu under "Model Year" that will show me 2013 and 2014. When I click on either one, a dropdown list for all car models for that year can appear in the next column under "Models". Then, for each car model, there are different characteristics that are in other columns, such as horsepower, mileage, etc...I want all of the content to stay on one line (row), but change when I click on a different model.

I would like to know whether it is possible to change the background colour of items in a dropdown/combobox on my userform?
I have a series of times at 15 min intervals and i want, if possible, to distingish between 'working hours' and 'non-working hours' by making the background of these numbers 'grey'.
Maybe looping through from 00:00 to 07:00 i.e 28 times (28 x 15min intervals)?
