Code To Search And Select A Cell From An Input Box

I have a button set to bring up an inputbox. enter serial number.
What I need to do is enter the serial number and then have the macro look through a
single column of values to match it then go to that row.
This seemed so simple I thought I could get it but alas here I sit...
I have tried to search the forum for a similar code but haven't found one that was close enough to make sense to me. I have ut together alot of individual actions, but how to get the value inputed to "search" the column and once found go to that row.
I also need to make sure it accounts for new rows being added in the future. (no set row range)

I have problem with inputbox which I can not select the cell by dragging the mouse. Means user have to enter manually the range into the textbox. At below i attached the code and picture of inputbox dialog box.
i am using MS office 2003.

The reason I'm not just using fill handles is because of the amount of formatting in the cells.

I'm from Bavaria, Germany. Right now, I am doing an internship for my studies. my problem: I need a search procedure which shows an Input Box where you can enter a word to search for. It should work like the original Excel search (Ctrl-F), but with a simpler design, like with my own Text "Enter your Query" and a Button "Submit Query" / "Quit search". Is there the possibility to Highlight the Search Target? The problem hereby is that this highlighting should not be permanent. That means the user sees the target for which he searched for, the cell highlighted in a different color, etc. But as soon as the user clicks onto another cell, etc., the highlighting vanishes. If there is no fitting match, there should be a MessageBox like "Sorry the Target xyz cannot be found"

This is probably far easier then I am making it but I need to take the information that is in a textbox created through the control toolbox and copy and paste that information into a cell on different tab in the workbook. I have tried the infamous google and haven't been able to find much. The excel books that I have don't really touch on the control toolbox functions.

I have a project coming up where I will receive tables in a certain format. I want to be able to create a macro that well create a chart based on a single inputted cell (start of data). The chart will have 4 series and five values per series. See the link below for sample data! The first data point is not in the same place in the sheet, but the table will have the rest of the data relative to that!

I want to enter a unique ID into an input box which will tell which row that id is available and then it will again ask me which column the cell needs to be highlighted. Once i enter the data, it will then ask me what is the change in data (again via input box). i can then enter the change data and then it stops.

I am trying to copy/paste the same data range from many sheets into a summary sheet.
Specifically, I'm attempting to copy (B697:G710) from 100 or so sheets into the summary sheet, one after another
I don't know much about VBA and am using the macro recorder. Unfortunately, when I attempt to paste the data from the next sheet to the summary sheet, it overwrites the info from the prior sheet. I have attempted using the down arrow and Ctrl downarrow but the recorded macro continues to select the same cell in the summary sheet into which it pastes the data.

I have a row of formulas that reference other sheets in my workbook (i.e. Cell A4=Sheet2!A1, Cell B4=Sheet2!B1, etc). I need to have VBA find the last cell in that row with data. I tried "End(xlToRight).Column" but it goes all the way to the end because all of the cells have formulas. I need to find the last cell that is empty of data or maybe >0 would work.

code that will be able to lookup a cell in Column J of Sheet1 by using a lookup value on Sheet2. The lookup value can be any cell in columns B, D, F, H, J, K, or N on Sheet2. The tricky part is, I want the result of this lookup (the result comes from Column H of Sheet1) to be placed as a data validation input message for the cell directly to the right of the lookup value when this cell is clicked.
For Example: Lookup Value is "416991" which lies in cell N8 on Sheet2. Look it up in Column J of Sheet1 and return the appropriate value "X" from Column H of Sheet1. "X" will then appear as an input message when cell O8 of Sheet2 is clicked.

I have two worksheets. ws1 contains a large number of dates on column 3. ws3 contains around 20 dates on column 3.
I want to pick two dates randomly in ws1 that does not already exist in ws3.
Here is my working code, but it is really slow to process. How to optimize this code? Also I would like to add a function where if the macro is not able to find two random dates that aren't already in ws3 then exit loop.

I am trying to write the code to;
1) change to a different sheet
2) select a specific cell range
3) save that range as a text / xml file with a filename derived from a cell outside the given range

I have a large database of equipment on one sheet and an input form on another. For inventory control, when a user scans a number into the input form, the main inventory sheet is updated with the current location. I have it working using functions, but I need to do this in VBA. I am looking to do the following;
User enters 2222 on the input form. The code matches 2222 on the inventory sheet, moves the activecell 10 columns and updates a value in that cell. Cell A2343 is "2222" then Cell K2343 is changed to "WAREHOUSE 4". What is the best way to find the match and then select that cell in VBA?

I have a document with multiple sheets that contain data for a specific date and are set up in chronological order. The last sheet(Final Sheet) has each row as a different date in a chronological range of 3 yrs and each row has 5 cells of data.
I need to write a macro that will take a 5 cell row from each sheet and place it in the correlating date/row in the Final Sheet. Each sheet is labeled as the date for which the data is from so the macro needs to match the sheet title to the date in column A of Final Sheet. Then place the 5 cells from the sheet into the correlating date/row. The macro would need to loop through and do this until it reaches the Final Sheet.

I would like to know how can i search the row for some value and than to input value in the same row but in different column?
For example:
In search box I enter bill number 114 and than field below ejected date(15.5.2011) than in the next field user enter price(1500). Now if i have more than one bill number with the same name how can i navigate thru list to chose the right one? Lets say that date is indicators for the right bill.

I am looking for a way to search for text with an input search box. Then when each instance of the word/s is found I want to extract the whole row and dump it to a new sheet. The word/s that I will search for will not be in any specific row or column but scattered around on the sheet. how I can get this started. I have been playing with input boxes but have no idea how to use the data that is inputted to it. I was thinking this was my first step.

I'm trying to get a users' selected range to display in a cell as stored text.
therefore, If a user selects A1:D7. The text in Cells("G", 10) will be:"A1:D7"
w/o the quotes.

I have a search spreadsheet where I click a button, and an input box appears where I put a car reg in, and it searches a different sheet, returning results on the row the reg belongs in.
I've had a slight change in spec. I now need the same function to work, but instead of an input box.. I want the user to type the reg in a text box that is already on the sheet, and then click a search button to retrieve the results.
Is there anyway to easily amend the following code to get there?

Here is my delimma. I am using the standard InputBox for my users to input the number of errors found for each category in a record from a daily report. The problem I having is that every time the user types in data using the InputBox it overwrites the previous days numbers. I need to set up the InputBox code so that after the user has input the numbers for that day that the next time the InputBox is used it selects the next column to the right and continues to do this for each day.

I have an Excel sheet with about 1,000 rows. Each row has an origin and destination column. Now I need a code that opens a specific website and goes to a specific tab and then search for the origin and destination fields queries. The code then takes each row and place them in the search query. The result from each row can result a valid connection between an origin and a destination OR no connection exists. So simply if connection is successful, the code simply returns "yes" otherwise "no".
I can open the website from Excel, but what I need to click on specific tab where I do my searches. One of the problems I am facing is that when I try to click on the tab I need I get the message that I must use Internet Explorer or Chrome or Mozilla. Although Excel uses Internet Explorer to open the website. I am not sure why this error.

I have a spreadsheet of sales figures that I want to interrogate to show data relating to sales of specific manufacturers products to specific customers, I have a colomn (call it A) that has the customer name listed, coloum B that has the Manufacturer name, coloum C that has the type of product it is and coloum D, coloum E, coloum F, coloum G that has the sales figure for the last 4 quarters.
I would like a user input box to pop up on loading, which asks for the Manufacturer I want to search for, and then a report genertaed that lists each customer with their sales figures by type of product for the specified manufacturer for the last 4 quarters (individually not tottaled). If the customer doesnt have any sales figures for that Manufacturer I would like that listed showing '0'

So I'm creating a UserForm that takes user input to create a worksheet based on the values input. My question is: How to select a range of cells based on a variable input value? For example, it asks how many competitors there are, and the user can input 5, 8, 10, etc. So I want that many cells in Row 1 selected, whatever the value input is.

In my "cover" sheet I click the allocate cover button and it then generates a list of data below the first table. This generated data now needs to update the "timetable" sheet by using the "allocated cover teacher" and "period" cells as a reference to then input the class code into the timetable at this time.

So in this picture we see that Dorothy*Schultz (in cell E27) has been given a class 3 MABA RM 15(cell D27) on TuesdayP1 (C27). I want search for Dorothy*Schultz and TuesdayP1 in the "timetable" tab to input the name of the class which in this instance would be input to cell I20 in the "timetable tab".

I am trying to create a macro which gives me an input box. I need to enter 2 numbers into the input box. It would be as follows:
Input Box Msg 1 - "What is your labor cost?" (NUM1)
Input Box Msg 2 - "What is your productivity rate?" (NUM2)
Then I need the macro to take this info and enter it into a formula which changes according to the row which you are on. (I need the macro to work based on which ever cell I currently have selected). The formula would be this if I currently had a cell on row 10 selected:
=(NUM1*(NUM2*$H10))/$H10
So, if I currently had cell L10 selected, and I ran the macro and put 100 in for "NUM1" and 10 for "NUM2" and my sheet had 20 in cell H10, then the macro would enter the number 1,000 into cell L10. If I had L500 selected, then the macro would enter the final number into cell L500 based on what value H500 contained.

I have set a String Variable as a worksheet name in one workbook and I want to find that worksheet name in another workbook that I have opened using VBA to write data to it.
When I try to use the variable, it gives me a Run-time error 9 Subscript out of Range.

Have been going round and round on this! I have a set of data that shows sales dollars by weeks. Currently, that data is in a Pivot table. I'd like to have a macro that selects the weeks (1-52) based on my input. For example. If I want to see weeks 5-52, I want to be able to input "5-52" somewhere and have a macro run that will select weeks 5-52 in the pivot table instead of having to go in and manually select each.
