Converting A Date Based Upon A Time In Column A..

I some assistance with converting a date based upon a time in column A. I have a number of dates in column A as follows:

01/13/2009 11:50 AM
01/05/2009 09:14 AM
01/12/2009 05:30 PM
01/12/2009 02:30 PM
01/12/2009 01:45 PM

I need to convert these values to another date base upon the values in column A.
If the time < 2:00 pm then leave date as is, if time > than 2:00 pm then add one day. The expected results in column B would be as follows

01/13/2009
01/05/2009
01/13/2009
01/13/2009
01/12/2009

Converting Date:Time Text To Date:Time Value
I'm trying to write a VBA code for converting the date/time as text to a date/time value.

The scenario is, I have three different types of text :
ddmmmyy
HH:MM
ddmmmyy:HHMM

I could have the code working fine with the first two types, but not the last one.

Converting Date Column To Text Formatting
I have column A set up to display dates in the following format: 03/04/2009. While the "look" is fine for the values in the column, I cannot get it to stay in that format when it is moved to a text file. It simply converts the display back to 39876.

I would like a macro that 1) looks at all values in column A and 2) converts each cell in the column to text format but leaves the contents so they are dates 03/04/2009 (mm,dd,yyyy).

Delete Date & Time Cells Based On Time
I have a large dataset where the first column is date and time i.e. "20/01/2005 03:41:06" and I want to delete certain rows based on the times. I have already tried playing about with macro's but failed fairly spectacularly so far. I have code from someone else to delete cells if the value equals a certain time but this doesn't work as the cell contains the date too.

I have already recorded one macro to reformat the data to as the software return 10 timestamped samples per hour and I want 8 i.e. every three hours so there is constant separation for statistical purposes. Both the macros are shown below so you can see what I have.

Ideally I would like to replace the line - If (r.Cells(n, 1) = TimeValue("22:41:06")) ............ - with one that reads - If (r.Cells(n, 1) CONTAINS TimeValue........ - but I don't know if that is possible? If not is there a way to separate the time from the date into 2 columns and then I can delete rows based on the time column using the code below? .......

Converting Normal Time To Epoch Time Format

1) If the time is after 2.00 pm, adjust to the next working day taking into account public holidays in column H

2) If the time is before 2.00 pm, remain the same day

3) if the time is after 2.00 pm and it is Friday, adjust to the next working day taking into account public holidays in column H

The correctly adjusted date is in column E.

Count Filled Cells In One Column Based On Date In Another Column
I think I am working all around this in Excel 2003 and feel like I am in the neighborhood, but can't seem to quite get there. On sheet1 I have 2 columns of 100s of rows. All of the cells in column A will be filled in with a date as time goes by (1-May-09 for example). Several of them may be 1-May-09 as a matter of fact. In column B, some of the cells will have a number in them and some of them will be empty. On sheet2, I want to construct a formula that returns a count of cells in column B that have a number in them based on a specific date in column A. For example:

AB
1-May
1-May777
1-May
1-May
1-May
2-May999
3-May
2-May
1-May
2-May111
1-May

If I could get the formula right, it would return an answer of 1 for 1-May in the example, because only 1 of the 1-May entries in column A has a number in the adjacent cell in column B. A formula for 2-May would return an answer of 2 since only 2 of the 2-May entries in column A have numbers in the adjacent cell in column B, and so on for the month. If I understand things right, there are too many arguments for COUNTIF. It seems that SUMPRODUCT should work, but I can't make it so.

Date/Time Formula: Pick Up A Date With Time Entry On A Worksheet And Place It Into A TextBox On A UserForm
I am attempting to pick up a date with time entry on a worksheet and place it into a TextBox on a UserForm. Format on the sheet is mm/dd/yyyy h:mm AM/PM. The UserForm is placing the value as mm/dd/yyyy 12:00 AM. here is the

Private Sub UserForm_Initialize()
If Not Range("dDate").Value = "" Then
TextBox2.Value = Range("dDate").Value
TextBox2.Text = Format(DateValue(TextBox2.Text), "mm/dd/yy h:mm AM/PM")
Else
TextBox2.Value = ""
TextBox2.SetFocus
End If
End Sub

"dDate" is the named range where the date is sitting. The format is also set on the TextBox2 exit event. Can anyone see why only the date portion is being transfered with the default 12:00 AM for no time component of the value?

Show Date/time Of When Cell/column Was Last Edited?
I have columns in my spreadsheet that will be getting updated periodically with a number. 1 week it might be 24, the next it might be 26.... and they would go in January's price, February's price....

The problem is, if a price is entered into the column, we don't know when it was entered other than the fact that it was entered in that month.

Is there a way to show the date and time of when a number gets entered or edited in a cell? This date/time could perhaps show up in a column right next to it.

Marking A Column Based On Date In Another Column
I have a worksheet that keeps track of members for an organization. One column, let's call it B, notes the month when the members are due to renew their membership. Our organization requires that members be notified of pending renewals one month before, the month of, and one month after they're due to expire. Rather than having to re-sort the database every time I want to pull up this information, I'd like to create a second column, column C, that puts a character next to the names of members who are about to come do.

Ideally this character would change depending on what stage they are in the renewal process (a month before, month of, month after). Super ideally, if this is even possible in Excel, members who haven't renewed by the last month will automatically be moved to worksheet two, which contains recently lapsed members. What sort of code would I need to do this? I've tried googling for it, but I can't find quite what I'm looking for, and I have no script savvy whatsoever.

Converting Number To Time
I am trying to compile data from several different managers within my company. They all have similar workbooks, and have been entering time in a number format. Currently they have values that look like this:

Excel - Book1___Running: 12.0 : OS = Windows XP (F)ile (E)dit (V)iew (I)nsert (O)ptions (T)ools (D)ata (W)indow (H)elp (A)boutA1=ABCD11.351.18  22.012.23  32.333.05  44.124.22  Sheet1 [HtmlMaker 2.42] To see the formula in the cells just click on the cells hyperlink or click the Name boxPLEASE DO NOT QUOTE THIS TABLE IMAGE ON SAME PAGE! OTHEWISE, ERROR OF JavaScript OCCUR.

However, the data should appear as this:

Excel - Book1___Running: 12.0 : OS = Windows XP (F)ile (E)dit (V)iew (I)nsert (O)ptions (T)ools (D)ata (W)indow (H)elp (A)boutD1=DEFG101:3501:18  202:0102:23  302:3303:05  404:1204:22  Sheet1 [HtmlMaker 2.42] To see the formula in the cells just click on the cells hyperlink or click the Name boxPLEASE DO NOT QUOTE THIS TABLE IMAGE ON SAME PAGE! OTHEWISE, ERROR OF JavaScript OCCUR.

So, in any instance the period or decimal point should be a colon and the format of the cells should be in [m]:ss.

I want to be able to select a range within the workbook and run a macro that will convert the numbers into the "[m]:ss format.

Converting Text To Time ....
I have a column (R) that is formatted as text. Each cell represents a time in military format.

How do I convert the values in the column to be in 00:00 (hours:minutes) format instead of text?

For instance, 1200 is the value in R2. I want it to show as 12:00.

I tried the following:

1. Create a new column (S)
2. Format the new column (S) as 00:00 format
3. Copy cell R2 (whose value is 1200) and paste into S2.

Result: S2 value is the same (still 1200). Formatting in the S2 cell changed from 00:00 format BACK to text format upon me pasting.

So I tried and changed it BACK to 00:00 format, and I get 0:00 as the new value in cell S2. Also, the function bar shows "4/14/1903 12:00:00 AM" for cell S2. I need a formula for this apparently,

Converting Time H:mm To Dec

1:00 7:00 AM7:00 AM

Using CellRef * 24 only works for Columsn B and C

resulting ex:

#VALUE! 1.08.0
#VALUE! 1.08.0
#VALUE! 1.07.0

For some reason, it only recognizes cols b and c as Time.
The "AM" only shows when you click the cell, and it is displayed in the formula bar. When clicking a cell in Col A, there is a trailing space, ie: "8:00 "

Tried a couple things but couldn't get it to associate col A with time, besides manually removing the trailing space from each row. Using Trim() does not work.

Time As A String And Converting To Seconds
I have an ACD program that gives me a time in "mm:ss" format, or in ":ss" fomat. I have 2-3 problems with charting this data.

1 I am inheriting the production of charts from someone else, with old data being displayed by seconds only I am supposed to keep this display.

2 the data that is in mm:ss format is recognized as being in full date format, for example 2:14 is recognized as 2:14:00 AM instead of 2 minutes, 14 seconds.

3 the data that is in :ss, ie :44, is recognized as a string.

Any thoughts on how I can convert both cases to a integer seconds? I know for example that I could mid() the second condition, but I am stuck thinking about the first condition.

I can't adjust the way the time comes in, unfortunately. It is an auto-generated export of the data from a switch.

Time Clock And Converting To 3 Min Increment
Okay I have a basic Time clock calculation in excel (i.e.-(timeout1-timein1)+(timeout2-timein2)="Total time"). What I need to do is convert the "Total time" to be changed to 3 min increments. I don't know if that is the best way to put it but let me show you the chart for the conversions.
3 mins=.05 hrs, 6 mins=.10, etc etc etc.

So lets put this into us

A1 (timein1)= 6:42 AM
A2(timeout1)=11:30 AM
A3(timein2)= 12:00 PM
A4(timeout2)= 5:00 PM (17:00)

So A5(Total Time)=9h 48min, but I need it to equal 9.80 hrs because with the conversion, 48 mins is .80 of an hour. So how can I set up A5 (Total time) to automatically do this calculation? This website is how I would like it to work http://www.1728.com/timecard.htm

Converting Long Time Calculation To UDF
I work with a lot of time based worksheets for a 24/7 operation and constantly use the formula:

=IF($E17>$D17,(HOUR($E17)+(MINUTE($E17)/60))-(HOUR($D17)+(MINUTE($D17)/60)),((HOUR($E17)+24)+(MINUTE($E17)/60))-(HOUR($D17)+(MINUTE($D17)/60)))

to calculate times worked where $D17 is start time and $E17 is finish time. Shifts can start and finish the same day ($E17>$D17) or go past midnight ($D17>$E17).

To make matters even more interesting, there are a number of variables that require adding either "and" and/or "or" conditions to this formula so I can end up with several of these nested and it gets pretty complicated.

I'd like to have a UDF so I can just enter the formula:

=CalcTime(Start Time,Finish Time)

Converting Date Getting #VALUE
I have an export from a database application in which I have thousands of dates. The dates are not in a date format (normal problem) so I wrote a formula to convert them as follows.

Original Date in A1 : 11/13/2008 This is mm/dd/yyyy

Formula : =VALUE(MID(A1,LEN(A1)-6,2)&"/"&LEFT(A1,LEN(A1)-8)&"/"&RIGHT(A1,4))

Result : 13/11/2008

This seems to work at first, until I looked more closely. If I change the date I am converting so that the date in cell A1 is 11/12/2008, ie. the dd value is less than 13, then the formula no longer works. It is fine for all values over 12.

I have a pivot table with the column fields as dates. I will like to be able to use VB to dictate which value to show. Here is brief code in which I just recorded...

Sub Button1_Click()
Range("B7").Select
With ActiveSheet.PivotTables("PivotTable1").PivotFields("Date")
.PivotItems("10/30/2006").Visible = False
.PivotItems("10/31/2006").Visible = True
End With
End Sub

I would like to show current day only using =today() or something similar. THis would eliminate the user having to modify the pivot tables daily.

Converting A String To A Numeric Date
I need to be able to locate a date in a spreadsheet bassed uppon a user input date. I am looking for the week that contains the user's date. However it seems even if I initialize the value as Date, it still reads the user's input as a string.

Is there an easy way make sure the system automaticaly recognizes the user's input as a date, or is there a way to quicly convert the string to a date?

I have a huge column of dates in the format (m)mddyy (i.e. 102005 or if it's a single digit month, 92005 for Sept 20).

Is there a way I can convert these all to a standard mm/dd/yy format?

I have several excel files with datevalues as the timestamp (column A). I would like to add 3 more columns after the timestamp and display the following (derived from the datevalue):
column B -> Day of Year
column C-> hh:mm
column D-> ss.0

how do I split an excel datevalue into Day of Year, hours and minutes, and seconds? Which formulas do I use?
