I have the following code that fills a range of cells (starting at the active cell) with the date a user selects from a calendar control.

how to make a certain type of date automate. It's kind of hard to explain, but basically, I'd like to make it so that when I enter a date in one column, another column will automatically populate with the 1st of the next month. For example:
If I enter 4/26/2009 in the 1st column, column 2 will read: 5/1/2009
If I enter 1/19/2008 .................................................. 2/1/2008
Also, it's very important that if the FIRST date is already the first of the month, then the second column will read the same. For instance: If I enter 3/1/2009 in the first colum, the second column will ALSO read 3/1/2009.

How to set a column up to show it as the time of day but unless I enter PM after I put the time in the column it always comes up as AM.
Is there some way to just enter 9:09 in column d and or f and have it show up as pm? When I enter 8:10 in column b it automatically adds the AM to it but if I do the same in the column for the night and I do not type in pm it will automatically enter it as am.
I have attached the workbook and did delete the macro - which was just to clear all of my entries but when I click to open it again I am still getting the message about the macro.
In the workbook when I enter the time in column B I can just type in 7:14 and it will automatically add the AM to it. However, when I get to column D or F if I just type in 9:09 or whatever time it is in the evening it will automatically add AM to it unless I type 9:09 pm.
Is there some way to set it up so that I can just enter the time and it will automatically enter pm for everything in that column?

I have a spreadsheet for payroll. The last column is for net pay. I enter this by hand when I get it back from the payroll tech. There are no formulas in this column. When done entering these figures, I click on "save". Then I close the file. From past experience with this sprdsht, I have found that it doesn't always save this column. It saves all the other info. I have entered in the sprdsht, but not this column. So, I have to re-enter everything in this column and "save" again. Close the sheet, then re-open it to be sure it got saved. Why won't it save this column of info. the first time?

I have a lost and found log that has 2 worksheets: (1) Unresolved and (2) Resolved. Data is entered into the Unresolved worksheet when something is lost or found. When a date is entered under Date Claimed / Sent to Capitol Police (column I), I would like the data in that row to be removed from the Unresolved worksheet and automatically inserted in the next blank row of the Resolved worksheet. I have a sheet where I have a column of cells where I manually enter in a date. the format is d-mmm-yy. Before the end of the year rolled around I was able to enter in say only 12-31 and it would automatically change that to 12-dec-09, now when I do that it spits out 12-dec-10. It's not a big deal to type in the extra -09 to get it right but was wondering if there was a quick/easy fix to get it to know that I don't want a date in the future?
All dates I type in will be in the recent past...never more than 3 months or so old and never later than today's date.

From sheet1 on a checkbox click I am attempting to post the system date into sheet3 cell c3. If c3 already contains data then I want the cell selection to go down to the next row and post the date there. I if cell c3 has no data then it posts fine but if I need to goto the next row then I get a runtime error "object doesn't support this property or method".

I have a spreadsheet where a date is entered in column A with data in B-F. I am trying to write code to look in column A for a specific date and enter additional data into columns G-L on the same row. It needs to be able to skip the rows that are blank. So I have the dates of 12/1, 12/2 and 12/3 in column A rows 1,2 and 3 and I want to enter data for 12/2 on row 2 skipping the blank cells in row 1 for 12/1. Here is the code I have below.

I would like a macro that does this
1. Find the "Customer Number" column by name
2. Find the range of the "Customer Number" column (bottom-most cell with data)
3. Find the column named "Date Shipped"
4. If there are any NON-Blank cells in the column named "Date Shipped", put the word "Sent" in the "Status" column (also needs to be found by name). This macro should stop when it is equal to the bottom-most cell in the "Customer Number" column.

I have 6 Headings in excel named...
"A" in cell A1, B in B1, "C" in C1, "D" in D1, "E" in E1 and "F" in F1.
There are two projects.
Project 1 has phase A, D & F and Project 2 has phase A, B, C, D & E.
My Specification follows...
1). Take Prject 1 - Which starts from A...in cell A2 I will keyin "A". When the phase comes to an end I will key in the end date of the phase. As soon as I key in the end date in cell A2 Letter D should automatically appear in the cell D2 and when Phase D comes to an end I will key in the end date in Cell D2 which should automatically keyin F in the cell F2. and is the same case for Project 2.

I'm having trouble while trying to use a variable in a cell reference. I have a sheet that is being used to record the time and date of data entered into the workbook. This sheet is divided into columns, each designated to a specific type of data. I have written a macro to enter the current time in the correct column, but that macro is embarrassingly long and complicated because I used a series of if statements to handle all the different data being entered. I'm trying to simplify by using vlookup, and assigning the column value to a variable, and inserting that variable into the cell reference.
Here is the line I need to insert a variable into:
Sheets("Current").Cells(Rows.Count, columnstart).End(xlUp).Offset(1, 0).Value = Now()
Where columnstart is my variable. It is an integer, but it's value will change depending on the type of data being entered.

Looking for code that auto updates today's date in column C, when cells in either column a or b of the same row are edited or changed. I have never used VBA before, just browsing forums for something that might work. I think I'm close with this one, but maybe the offset is wrong - it populates the date in column b when a change.

I have columns in my spreadsheet that will be getting updated periodically with a number. 1 week it might be 24, the next it might be 26.... and they would go in January's price, February's price....
The problem is, if a price is entered into the column, we don't know when it was entered other than the fact that it was entered in that month.
Is there a way to show the date and time of when a number gets entered or edited in a cell? This date/time could perhaps show up in a column right next to it.

I have a long (~42,000) list of dates and times (some including zeros). I would like to name these ranges and use a formula to find the last entry in each column. I know the lists will never go over 45,000.
The data is in this format:
1/31/14
23:58:00
1/30/14
[Code]....
The data will not always be consecutive, so I imagine the criteria would be something like (if there were such a thing) "ISDATE" or something of the sort.
How would I write a formula to dynamically calculate the row number of the last date or time in the column? (In this case, it would be 6.)

I have a spreadsheet in which I want to track the date and time someone made an entry in an adjacent cell (so if someone enters something in B2, I want the date/time of that cell edit to appear in C2).
When the date/time has appeared, I want it to remain the same and not update when the worksheet is opened the next time. So I can't use NOW to pull it in, because that's going to change every time the file is opened.

I am working on an Inventory Spreadsheet. I have need it to date time stamp that willpopulate a different cell /field when text are entered in a different cell/field and will not change all the previous dates entered on the spreadsheetevery time I re-open the spreadsheet.
