Userform Multipage Command Button To Paste Text In Cell
Apr 8, 2009I'm trying to make a command button copy the text from a text box on a multipage control to the active cell in the sheet. I have been able to make it paste the text once it is manually selected and copied to the clipboard but that is all. I've tried recording a macro but that doesn't seem to work in the userform. I need it to copy the text from the active multipage tab (from a textbox) and paste into the sheet's active cell.

Command Button Output Text
May 30, 2009Need coding of command button to output text based on the contents of combobox1 and combobox2. The text should be placed in the next available cell starting in cell b3 for combobox1 and starting in cell c3 for combobox2. Each time submit is clicked the name and number associated with that name should go in the next free cell in the spreadsheet.
So for example the user choses name1 and number6 cell b3 would read name1 and cell c3 would read number6 after submit is clicked. The user then choses name58 and number12 and presses submit again cell b4 would read name58 and cell c4 would read number12.
ActiveX Command Button Text Looks Bad
Aug 12, 2009I have created an ActiveX command button and the text on the button looks crude. I know that is not very descriptive but I am unsure how to describe it. The text looks jagged and some letters are missing chunks of their letters. The font I have chosen is Calibri.
If I create a Form Controls button I do not have this problem but I want the button to have a particular background color so I do not believe I can use a Form Controls button.
I do not know why the other Calibri text on the worksheet looks fine while the ActiveX Calibri text does not. The attached image shows the two buttons with the top one being the ActiveX button while the bottom is a Forms button.
Can You Have Text Link That Acts Like Command Button

I want to do this so I can simply copy the formula down for new rows and not have to create a command button for each row?
Maybe there is an entirely much easier way to do what I want?
FOR EXAMPLE, the 1st column would be a link to an entry form passing the 2nd column which would be an ID field.
Disable Command Button Once Data Is Recorded
Aug 7, 2008I am making a timesheet which has a UserForm with textbox and 3 command buttons namely Search, IN and OUT. The program works like this, user type his id no., then clicks on search, once id match command buttons for IN and OUT are enabled. User clicks on IN button then current time which tags as NOW() will be pasted on the worksheet. Same goes with the OUT button. I was able to make them work that way. The problem here now is, the data being entered are vulnerable for data-re entry. What I mean is, if a certain user has already a recorded IN time, if he clicks on the IN time again, the data will be overwritten. Is there a way that once the user has already a recorded IN time, the IN button will be disabled for that user since he has already a recorded IN data?

Aug 26, 2013I have made an excel workbook detailing team performance that all of my team have access to and that requires updating once a day. The first person to access the workbook each day presses a Command Button that updates the workbook and inserts a time/date stamp. However, other members of the team go into the workbook and update it again the same day which then affects the data being reported.
I know i should probably just sack them for not being able to read the time and date but HR would not like that so is there a way to disable CommandButton1 (ActiveX) so that once it is pressed it is disables until the next day?

Userform Slow Response To Command Button-query
Feb 18, 2009I have a few subs that use userforms. They all work ok except that when they are filled out and the final click to close them is done , e.g. command button "OK" or "Cancel", the button is slow to respond. I usually end up having to click twice, or click and hold for a moment before it will register.
It appears to me that the program is hanging around in the last highlighted box the cursor was in and its slow to notice a command button has been pushed.

The user selects a reel, then inputs other information. When an 'Enter' command button is clicked, I had like the data to be entered onto the next available row of the worksheet with the same reel name (eg, if reel 2 is selected from the combobox, then the data should be added to the Reel 2 worksheet on the next blank row.

What I am looking for is the ComboBox to populate with all items on WS "Recommendations" in columnA starting at Row8 (this needs to be dynamic to adjust for when items are added to end). The user will select the item in the combobox then fill out "Textbox1" and "Textbox2". The user will then hit "Commandbutton1". This will take "Textbox1" and "Textbox2" to the columnR cell of the same row of the columnA value chosen in the combobox. It will be formatted as such:
"TodaysDate" + "Textbox1" + ":" + "Textbox2"
Todays Date will be in "mm/dd/yy" format.
The catch here is that These columnR cells already have text. My goal was for it to at this date onto the end of the existing text hopefully while using the ALT+ENTER function which skips it to the next line in the cell.
