What kind of formula enters values in Worksheet B instead of the question marks (that is, adds up all the numbers in columns C and D of Worksheet A which happen in the given city and month?)

Sum Won't Update After VBA Enters Values

I've got a user form that enters values from a text box into one of the spread sheet columns and a Sum at the top which is not updating when the value is added into the column. After highlighting the cell and pressing return it will update the sum though

I've checked that auto calculation is on and that all cells involved are the same format, I even made up a basic form to simulate the same situation in another workbook and that actually works. Is there any way and code could be causing this trouble? or maybe just a corrupt workbook for some reason?

Create Helper Column That Marks Distinct Values

I have a table with 200.000 rows.

I need to create a helper column, that marks distinct values with 1 and not distinct "" or 0.

I tried the following but both use countif and I believe it is the problem it's just to slow.

=IF(COUNTIF($A$2:A2;A2);1;0)
=1/COUNTIF($A$2:A2;A2)

but both are really slow +20 mins to calculate and many times Excel crashes( 2007 32bit).

The workbook is really simple

Col1 (number formatted as text) - Col2 =distinct

1 in sheet1 2 in sheet2 3 in sheet3 now i want to omit the min(1) marks and add/average of remaining two((2+3)/2)*100.

I am trying to find a way of copying values from cells that are linked to another workbook and paste them to another sheet in same workbook to the end of last row entry. This needs to be done via VBA from a button. There are 35 rows and 9 columns linked to another workbook and they don't always have values (depending on source workbook). To cycle thru each row and copy if they have values and paste them to end of last used row on another sheet.

Associate 2 Column Values In 1 Worksheet Then Export Values To Similarly In Next Worksheet?

The Room ID values in Column A are associated with the Room values in Column B. I'm trying to move the values in Column A Room ID to Column G Room ID by having excel look up value in Column C Room or Area #, compare it to Room, associate that with Room ID and automatically fill in Column G Room ID. There are 1000s of these so it's not possible to do it by hand.

I tried both IF and LOOKUP and failed. I'm trying to search for values from one worksheet and identify whether or not those values exist in another worksheet. I attempted the following lookup in field A2:

=LOOKUP(B2,Sheet3!A$2:A$914,Sheet3!C$2:C$914)

B2 (thru B5000 or so) contains values I want to search for; sheet3!A$2:A914 is where I want to look and column C of that same sheet, entered the text "Yes" in an attempt to have the results list "Yes" for hits and N/A for misses. (All fields are text.) I copied the formula all the way down the sheet in column A. The result it is returning is N/A in A2 and Yes in A2 -to the bottom, which is incorrect.

I'm trying to create a dynamic array so that when a user enters the first sheet name via an input box, excel will know to select the other sheets with ending (2), (3), (4) etc.

Currently this code works only if there are 4 sheets present (as I set this way), anything lower/higher is out of range.

How do I make it so that it will select sheets if there are less than 4 sheets present?

I tried nesting, but I pretty sure this array needs redimming or something. Is ubound a better option?

Column A is a thickness and column b is a width what I want to happen if the user enters a thickness in cell D1 and a width in cell D2 I want an error to pop up if for instance the user enters 100 as a thickness to only allow a maximum of 300 in the width. likewise if the user enters a thickness less than 100 in cell D1 to allow him to enter up to 500.

The total number of rows I use is 10, and the number of items in the dropdown list will be 30.

The data in the cells 2 to 10 does not change from that first set to its data menu name.

Conditional Divide (probs Occur When I Manually Enters The Exchange Rate)

The file is a simple sheet which upon entering the actual/Invoice cost (C5), calculates the estimated landing/final cost (C8).

In between the process involves changing the currency from US$ to PKR, make some calculations, and changing back the currency again to US$.

The default rate of currency exchange is set to ave 60 (C12). However if the user knows the current rate he can put it manually in C6 and sheet will make all the calcs on this instead of using the default rate.

Problem:
Everything is working just too perfect. But probs occur when i manually enters the exchange rate.

It does successfully changes the US$ to PKR and calculates everything perfectly but doesnt reverts the final cost back to US$ successfully instead it keeps using the default value instead of user's value

Hash Marks

I have my columns set at a certain width, the cells set to Wrap Text, the Row set to Autofit YET sometimes when I add text, the hashmarks show up as if the cell isnt formatted correctly and Excel cant show all the text. I can resize the cell, change the text whatever, nothing changes. The only way I can fix this is to cut the text out, open a separate worksheet, paste the text into a cell and copy the whole cell BACK into the original spreadsheet, then I have to reformat the text, whereupon it behaves as it is supposed to.

I read about a similiar problem and the reply was that a macro might be causing the error. This is not the case here. This doesnt happen with any regularity so it is very difficult to figure out.

Getting Rid Of Tick Marks

Some sent me a large spreadsheet with random rows throughout the spreadsheet highlighted in diffierent colors. I have a module that will sort the spread sheet by Color - however it doesn't work on this spreadsheet because - for whatever reason - every cell starts with a tick mark.

I tried to do a replace all - and excel just told me I was crazy.

I even tried going through and manually removing the tick marks - still no luck.

If I export the sheet in to txt and then re-import it I will loose all the highlights...

I am looking for a function that would convert any mark into a grade. For example in cell B4 I want to enter the total score, cell c4 the score that a student gets and in cell d4 the grade. It is like a grade calculator. I do not want to limit cell b4 the total score cell with a specific total score number. It can be 100, 50, 30 or 10. The moment I enter any total score and the mark that a student actually scored, the grade is given. I attached an excel sheet.

I have tried to construct a formula for columns M N O and P to extract the names of the four best marks for each student. I have used the 'Large' formula but it does work when there are equal marks in the list.

Has anyone used a formula to order the first four highest marks and show the headings?

This generally works well; however, I have discovered that if the input value for I67 is actually zero, there is no value displayed in the cell. Adjust Interval Between Tick Marks In Graph

It is impossible to adjust the interval between tick marks when displaying an horizontal axis with 2 categories (years and weeks). The following steps do not change the space between the tick marks.

-Select the graph;
-Chart Tools - Lay Out;
-Current selection - Horizontal (Category) Axis;
-Format selection;
-Axis options;
-Interval between tick marks: 4.

How can I change the interval for the tick marks to display a mark after every four weeks? Is this a bug or by design?
