Function To Convert Marks Into Grade

I am looking for a function that would convert any mark into a grade. For example in cell B4 I want to enter the total score, cell c4 the score that a student gets and in cell d4 the grade. It is like a grade calculator. I do not want to limit cell b4 the total score cell with a specific total score number. It can be 100, 50, 30 or 10. The moment I enter any total score and the mark that a student actually scored, the grade is given. I attached an excel sheet.

I'm putting together a mark book for school and have a problem with VLOOKUP distinguishing between what used to be a top grade, ie A, and the new top grade, A*.
I want to convert the grade to a number but VLOOKUP can't tell the difference between A and A*. I've attached a sample worksheet.

I am compiling a master spreadsheet to analyse progress of students. I have their potential grades in one column and their latest progress grade in another.
I would like an automatic look up of the potential to the progress grade so that if their current grade is BELOW their potential that gets highlighted one colour, if it is above, another colour.
One issue is that the grades are all letters (S, A, B, C, etc.) and that some potential grades are 'dual' (i.e. A/B, S/A) which complicates the issue somewhat.

my Excel teacher doesn't even know how to do this! The chapter is Working with Multiple Worksheets and Workbooks, and we went into linking workbooks, linking worksheets, using the VLOOKUP function, and saving workbooks as templates. This is Case Problem 2 and i'll attaching the file.
It says:
1. On the Grading Criteria worksheet, enter the text "Exam Average" in cell A1
and the text "Grade" in cell B1.
2. In the range A2:B6, create a lookup table for the range of grades specified by Professor Templeton. (Hint: Each letter grade should be matched up with the lowest score possible for that grade.)
Here are the specified grades:
0 to 49 = F
50 to 59 = D
60 to 74 = C
75 to 89 = B
90 to 100 = A
3. Insert a formula in Column E of each worksheet to calculate the overall score of each student based on the grade table you entered in the Grading Criteria worksheet.

I have a range of cells C11:C29,G12:G18,G20:G23,G25:G26,G28:G29,C33:C42,G33:G42,C46:C47,G46:G47,C51:C54,G51:G59,C58:C59 that contains letter grades (egs. A+,C- etc). I need the code for a macro that checks each cell from this range and if the value of the cell is A+ then the cell's value changes to 100, if the cell's value is A then change the cell's value to 98, if cell's value is B+ then change to 88 ...and so on...you get the idea (i will complete the rest of conditions but i just need the basic code).

When installed as a macro, the function works fine in a cell on my PC, but when I send the file to another pc, it still gives the name of my pc. I need it to return the name of thier pc.

i am trying to get COS to perform correctly, Basically i have an equation, that gives me a figure i want to convert using COS. My scientific calculator allows me to press invert, then i press COS this gives me the correct mesurement.
I.E.
Cos .22553 = 77 degress
To get excel to work it out is deluding me

I am writing VBA code that dissects a cell which always contains some alphanumeric characters a colon ":", some more characters, another colon ":" and some more characters.
For Example this is what is in my cell "Deposit:93121:Southern California"
what I need is to cut and paste everything that is located after the 2nd colon ":"
Say that my cell is D433 and in non-vba world I can chop off the first part of the cell to the left of the first colon ":" by using the following formula:
=MID(D433, FIND(":",D433)+1,50)
assuming there are less than 50 characters in my cell, which is a safe number, then I cut and pastespecial this cell as values into the same cell and repeat that same formula and voila, what remains in cell D433 is what I am looking for "Southern California"
how can I replicate this surgical process in VBA, is there a way to combine this process in one command on any given target cell?

I do not know if this is possible in VBA, but I am hoping it is as it will make my life much easier.

I currently have a Tab named "Rent by Month 3-08-5-29" containing the monthly rent amount for 700 locations for March 2008 - May of 2029 with the layout seen below.

I am making an IF function that calculates and converts units, for example kg to g and g to kg etc.
This is the formula I typed in

When I evaluate it I get the #NAME error. What do I need to change to make it work?

i am trying to convert a range of numbers to text using the Cstr function ,it doesnt work. excel VBA help states that CStr function converts a numeric value to a String. i am aware that i can convert a number by preceding it with an apostrophe
i just need to know why Cstr doesnt do the job

I have my columns set at a certain width, the cells set to Wrap Text, the Row set to Autofit YET sometimes when I add text, the hashmarks show up as if the cell isnt formatted correctly and Excel cant show all the text. I can resize the cell, change the text whatever, nothing changes. The only way I can fix this is to cut the text out, open a separate worksheet, paste the text into a cell and copy the whole cell BACK into the original spreadsheet, then I have to reformat the text, whereupon it behaves as it is supposed to.
I read about a similiar problem and the reply was that a macro might be causing the error. This is not the case here. This doesnt happen with any regularity so it is very difficult to figure out.

Some sent me a large spreadsheet with random rows throughout the spreadsheet highlighted in diffierent colors. I have a module that will sort the spread sheet by Color - however it doesn't work on this spreadsheet because - for whatever reason - every cell starts with a tick mark.
I tried to do a replace all - and excel just told me I was crazy.
I even tried going through and manually removing the tick marks - still no luck.
If I export the sheet in to txt and then re-import it I will loose all the highlights...

I have a really long function which counts the number of unique values in a selected range, and ignores blank cells. The function is like this (only works as an array function):

Here in "Grade" Column wants put a formula so that it will show First,Second,third and Fail. If the Mark is more than or equal 40 but less than 50 will reflect Third,if the mark is more than or equals to 50 and less than 60 will reflect Second, if the mark is more than or equals to 60 will reflect First and remaining less than 40 will reflect fail.
