1. The example is cell B1 has a drop down list with the following options: MIN, MAX, AVERAGE, MEAN, SUM
The range F2:F20 hold the values upon which I want the formula to work
Cell B3 is to calculate the result of performing the the function defined in B1 over the data set in F2:F20
What formula do I need in B1. I have tried various of methods of forming the above into a text string and then preceding with INDIRECT but my problem seems to be with the range part.
2. Same as above but I want to the users to write as text (without equal sign) the formula they want to use
In my workbook I have a form that loads some information to my database. When the information is entered and the form button is pressed I want a message box to appear to give the user some information. On that message box I want there to be a button that the user has to press before the message box disappears.

I have a 3 2 user forms, plus a calandar pop-up user form. One is a Log In Screen with a user id combo box and a password textbox referenced to ranges in a very-hidden sheet.
My second form is a spend tracker with mulitple fileds, text boxes, combo boxes, etc.
One of the fields in the spend tracker is user name, what I would like to do is when a user enters their user name and password the entered user name as long as it matches one in the database be populated in the user name field and not allow it to be edited. Is there a way to do this, if so, what is the code and where do I put it.

I am currently working in an application in which I use the following user defined types:

I have a public variable called myctafund, of type ctafund:

My problem is the following: When I need to update myctafund, I first want to clean it entirely before putting new values, so as to be sure older values do not stick around (I do not necessarily overwrite all the values of the mycta type).I can't figure out a way of clearing the entire myctafund variable in one shot. I tried:
myctafund=empty
but I am granted by a nasty excel error. I'd like to avoid writing 200 lines of code just to clean the entire variable.
I can create my own new collection which is handy as it accepts uniques only and i can access using its "key"
But can i have a collection of "user defined data types"
I know how to create a basic dropdown list, but what I don't know (I don't even know if it is possible to do at all) is how to allow user type-in response if the "Other (please specify)" option is used.

But If the Other (please specify) option is selected I would like to give user an ability to type in type of the report he/she is using. I have list of data with corresponding number of chances ( see attached column E) I need to replicate the data under column A,B,C & D to a new rows as per the number under column E and so goes till the end of the list using a formula.
Basically in the attached example i should have a 43 new data rows
I have an array with structure, i.e. User Defined Type. Assume the user defined type has two elements: Element1 and Element2 and array name is Array.
So the definition is:
Dim Array(1 To 10) As UserType
and access to elements is
Array(5).Element1
The problem is that I need to pass the whole set of Element1 or Element2 to a function. Should it have been two separate arrays, it would not be a problem. But because of the user defined structure I have no idea how to pass a single element.
I hope there is another solution rather than to use loops. I have many arrays like this with complex structures. I simply can not replicate all of them.
How would I code a button on a userform to request a password input before opening the form? And as a second level of protection - can I code it to only display asterick's when typing in the password.

I'm trying to run a web query from a website that requires a user name and password.
Is it possible to do such a thing when the website has a user name and password?
My macros are set up with hard-coded passwords to protect and unprotect the sheets where they run.
But I need a way for the macros to refer to a user-provided password without having the user edit the macos themselves. The simplist approach (I suppose) would be to have a worksheet for this with a cell for the user to enter the password he/she wants. The macro protect/unprotect code would then look at the cell to get the password.
I have coded a user form to automatically unprotect a sheet, then protect it with a password after data is entered from the User Form. Works great. However, after it is protected through the User Form script, I cannot unprotect the sheet to edit it. It will not recognize that it is the correct password, although it is.

I am trying to figure out how to create a "User-Defined" enumerated type typically used in other languages (other than VBA).
for example in Java a typical enum type is declared like this:

This gives the benefit of writing "readable" code.

I have an input box for a password, and my vb code checks the password against a list, and if it is correct allows the user to continue. I want to change the input box for a user form, as it allows more text on the form, and I also want to include a checkbox that the user must tick to show that they have read and understood the instructions. I have defined the form, but am having trouble getting the form to interpret the user input.
The form has one checkbox, which needs to be ticked to continue, otherwise give a message saying that you have to confirm. It also has one textbox, for the user to input the password. I dont understand how to name the contents of the text box, and use it in the following code. Also do I need a "send" button on the user form, for the user to click after entering the password. If so how does that work?
I'm trying to write what is supposed to be a simple script that looks at a column of usernames (ColumnA) and passwords (ColumnB). I start off by prompting the user to enter their username in an input box and then I want a loop to check this value against the values in Column A. If the username exists, I want to prompt an input box for the password. If the username does not exist I need some kind of limit on the loop to prompt an input box for the user to enter a new username and password that I'll add to the last row of the data table.
