How To Make The Textbox Output Whatever A Specific Cell Says
Jan 31, 2014
So I know how to make the textbox output whatever a specific cell says, but is there a way to do the opposite? make the textbox the input and have the cell changed based on the input of the textbox?
I want my formula to output a blank cell if the answer is 0. Ex. [B1=IF(A1=0, ???, A1)]. I want B1 = A1 if A1 is not 0. I want B1 to output a blank cell if A1 = 0.
B17 is a keyword to be found in the Product_Keywords range
I'd like to modify it so that:
ifthe cell in the range Product_Keywords also includes "," thendivide the sumproduct by the number of commas+1
Presumably I could add --(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(",",Product_Keywords) as one of the conditions, but how would I keep track of the number of commas in the cell?
I am trying to make my textbox on the userform equal a cell value in a column. I need the userform to look at the last cell that has a value in a column and display that value into the textbox on the userform.
Ex. I am starting my data from Cell "O8" and the last possible row would be "O51" Starting with O8 I need my textbox in the userform to read this cell value. After each entry the next row in Column O will have a value, so I would need my userform textbox to read cell "O9" value the next time the user form opens. Here is what I got thus far:
[Code].....
It gives me a Compile Error: Invalid or unqualified reference.
I can assign a number of copies to print by adjusting ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintOut Copies:= , but what I want it to have the number of copies auto adjust to the value of a cell that contains a formula. I was hoping it would something as simple as Copies:=cell but no luck...
In column A i am using the following formula to output "Our Apple" when "Apple" is in column D and "Our Banana" when "Banana" is in column E:
[Code] .....
I would like the formula to also output "Big Apple" immediately underneath "Our Apple" when its present, and output "Big Banana" immediately below "Our Banana" when it is present.
The yellow column is how column A should look after the formula edit.
I am making a user form in Excel 2007 and for some reason where I am using textboxes for a user to enter numeric values the output on the spreadsheet has a general format which is causing an IF function to return an incorrect value. Is there a way to make sure the output from the form is in "numeric" format?
I have a scrollbar and a textbox for selecting a value. Everything works fine but it's irritating when someone types 100,000 into the textbox then decides to increment or decrement using the scrollbar. The position of the scrollbar doesn't change with the textbox so (supposing the previous value was 5000 and set using the scrollbar) instead of making adjustments to 100,000 it jumps to 5000 and makes adjustments there.
I've tried doing something like making a sub for changes to the textbox with code like BootstrapScrollBar.Value = BootStrapTextbox.value but I keep getting the error "error 308, could not set value".
So is there a way to have the position of the scrollbar tied to the value in the text box?
I have a part of code but would need to see if there is a simple way to combine all my textbox to become negative value If my Combobox is checked.
In my Module, This will Calculate my Textbox11 each time I call for my Sub
This will call my Sub updateTextBoxes() I have set up from Textbox2 to textbox10
In my Userform I have a CheckBox1. If this CheckBox1 is Selected then I need to change the entry of all Textboxes(2-10) to be negative Value.
Works well right now but I need to identify all Textbox separately how could I bundle this up... even if a module is called...
So IF checkbox1 = True then textbox2 to textbox10 will = a negative value... If user adds 2 to textbox2 when the checkbox1 is = True then 2 will turn to -2
I have nearly finished my project, but need to make the last real bit of code, then just some general tidying up.
What I want to do - I currently have two tabs in a userform - one called 'main' and one called 'extra'. - I want Main to always be shown to the user. - I want Extra to be hidden (is it possible to make the tabs invisible?) and for this form to be shown only under a specific condition
I have a question on my userform (using Option Buttons): "Did the customer ask about an extra product today?"
If the answer to this question is no - When the user hits the command button (after filling out the rest of the form), do nothing special - just return all the values to the worksheet
If the answer is yes - When the user hits the command button, I want them to be taken to the 'extra' tab. They will fill out some additional check-boxes, then hit another command box, which will return the info from both the 'main' and 'extra' sheets into the same row of the worksheet.
In brief: I want my 'extra' tab to be hidden, only to appear when 'yes' is selected, and for the results all to go back to the worksheet.
I have a list of numbers and want to see if the sum of any of them exactly makes up a specific larger number. Any quick way to do in excel? Eg do any of the below together make the exact total of the number at the bottom.
I'm trying to make a line graph with specific increments on both the x and y axis. Now, I can make specific increments on one, but have to sacrifice the other in order for me to label the lines. Im not sure how to get around this. I'll just type out what i'm trying to do and maybe you smart people can help me here.
Okay, both the x and y axis must be in increments of 8,10,12.5,16,20,25,30, and 35.
The first line should be labeled "Indicated magnification, and should have the values 8,10,12.5,16,20,25,30, and 35... the same as the x and y values, making the line a straight linear line.
The second line should say "actual m value" and have values of 10,12.5,15.5,20.5,25,31,37.5, and 44.
The third line should say "actual n value" and have values of 10,13,16,21,26,32,38.5, and 45.
Is there a way without using code to have the text in a text box (excel 2003), copied to another cell or another text box on a different worksheet?
I have information in a text box on 1 worksheet. I would like this information to automatically be copied to another worksheet. On the master sheet, if any of the information gets changed or updated, the copied information should get updated as well.
Is there a way to make multiple charts off of 1 big data sheet. Sounds easy but there is more.
Sheet name is Field Column A is Name ( about 40 different names) Column B is Date (x axis primary and secondary) Column D is Oil (y primary axis) Column G is Water (y primary axis) Column E is Gas ( y secondary axis) Column M is MCFE (y secondary axis)
There is about 2-3 thousand rows, updated monthly. I need to make a graph by each well name.
1) can I make multiple graphs that can just look at the "field" sheet and then breakout just the 1 well name that shows up on the chart sheet that I create
I've tried pivot charts but you can't have secondary acess because it resets every time.
Basically, make multiple charts that will graph the data of a specific name in column A
I have a worksheet "database" which is database of patient information in each row, in column H I have the "pateint IP number" I have a userform for search and copy. The textbox in the userform is "search_tb1", where I would input the required IP number and search in column H for a match, which should intern select the entire row of this selected cell and paste in another worksheet "preview" in row 2.
I have a form “RiseSpan” with three TextBoxes, “txtInSpan”, “txtDepth” & txtOutSpan”. I wish to enter values in “txtInSpan” and “txtDepth”. These values are placed in cells A1 and A2. If both “txtInSpan” and “txtDepth” are greater that zero, I want “txtOutSpan” to show the value of cell C11.
I have a userform with 35 text boxes on which display data from a worksheet based on a selection made from a combobox.
My problem is that TextBox11 and TextBoxes 15-35 all need to show a value to 2 decimal places i.e 360.00.
I have found the following line of code:
Code:
For Each ctrl In Controls If TypeName(ctrl) = "TextBox" Then ctrl.Value = Format(ctrl.Value, ".00") Next ctrl
Which does the job but unfortunatley it applies it to every single textbox on the form (not just No's 11,15-35) which is a problem as some of the boxes contain dates so instead of 09/05/2012 i actually get 41038.00.
My question is how to I modifiy the above code (or is there an alternative code?) to only apply to the required textboxes?
I am attempting to format some TextBoxes from within a For/Next loop. I need a way to check which TextBox is the active TextBox in the loop. Using i as the variable, I came up with this code snippet: Me.Controls("TB" & i).Text = Format("TB" & i, "mm/dd/yy")
If i = 3, this gives me in TextBox3 (which is called TB3) the text 'TB3' and not the value of what is in TB3. It has got to bo something simple, I just can't see it!!!
I have number in cell (A1) = 100. when I enter number in any cell of column(B) for example (B1)=10. then in cell (C1) the result of (A1) - (B1) = (90) and if I add in cell (B2)=10 then in cell (C1) the result of (A1) - (B1+B2) = 80 .accumulatively in cell (C1). and any number in column (B), the result will be (A1) minus any number in column(B) accumulated in (C1)
second question
I have number in cell (A1) = 100. when I enter number at cell (B1) = 10 then the result would be in the adjacent cell (C1) = (A1) - ( B1) = 90 and If I enter a new number in cell (B2) = 10 then the result would be in the adjacent cell (C2) = (A1) - (B1+B2) = 80 and If I enter a new number in cell (B3) = 10 then the result would be in the adjacent cell (C3) = (A1) - (B1+B2+B3) = 70 and so on. I want the result to be add automatically to adjacent cell in column (C)
Im working a spredsheet for my work, it is a database of qualifications for certain employees. There are about a hundred different qualifications and about 20 different employees. And some of the qualifications overlap. I would like to input a certain date in one of the cells, and have it copy into some of the other cells where the quals overlap. But i would like to input that date into any of the cells that overlap, not just one.
I am trying to put together an IF statement within excel which will give me certain output depending on the particular value within ONE cell.
For example:
If cell L5 has a value between 0 and 1.00 output value 0 If cell L5 has a value between 1.01 and 2.00 output value 20 If cell L5 has a value between 2.01 and 3.00 output value 40 If cell L5 has a value between 3.01 and 4.00 output value 60 If cell L5 has a value between 4.01 and 5.00 output value 80 If cell L5 has a value between 5.01 and 6.00 output value 100
