B17 is a keyword to be found in the Product_Keywords range
I'd like to modify it so that:
ifthe cell in the range Product_Keywords also includes "," thendivide the sumproduct by the number of commas+1
Presumably I could add --(ISNUMBER(SEARCH(",",Product_Keywords) as one of the conditions,
but how would I keep track of the number of commas in the cell?
I can assign a number of copies to print by adjusting ActiveWindow.SelectedSheets.PrintOut Copies:= , but what I want it to have the number of copies auto adjust to the value of a cell that contains a formula. I was hoping it would something as simple as Copies:=cell but no luck...
I am working an Excell sheet. It have many cells with formula like sum of a range of cells etc.
I wanted to divide a range of cells with the given cell (which is inturn having a formula for sum of a range of cells.) want i wanted is to divide a range of cell values with a given cell whose value (number) is obtained through a formula.
when i do
=100*(v65)/v20 for T65 cell and copy the formula for T66-T106 cell range
it is calculating for T66=100*(v66)/v21 and T67=100*(v67)/v22 ........T106=100*(v106)/v61
what I want is all the cells T66=100*(v66)/v20 ... T106=100*(v106)/v20.
So I know how to make the textbox output whatever a specific cell says, but is there a way to do the opposite? make the textbox the input and have the cell changed based on the input of the textbox?
I have a range of data going accross columns, the entries include, U, T, and F1 to F11. I have a requirement to count how many of a particular type of entry there are, this needs to be done in groups, e.g, counting attendance bonuses which are included in entries, F5,F6, F8 and F11, (i.e. in one cell i need to total how many F5's,6's,8's & 11's are in that row?!). i just cant quite seem to get the formula right to count them.
I am currently using this formula - =SUMPRODUCT(--(MONTH(Leads!B3:B999)=1),--(YEAR(Leads!B3:B999)=2013),--((Leads!J3:J999)="Contract"))
This gives me the count of rows that have Jan as the month, 2013 as the year and Contract word in column J. Now I want to add another column to be checked. That column has values in format - Design: X, Design: Y, Design: Z etc.
So I want to have the condition above and the cells that have the word Design.
I am trying to use SUMPRODUCT on one of my excel files. the condition is that it will try to count all those cells that contain certain letters. i tried using this formula, =SUMPRODUCT(--('All Computers'!$A$2:$A$100000="USA*"),--('All Computers'!$E$2:$E$100000="June")), but I am getting a 0 value.
I have created a desk planning spreadsheet in excel. Each week a mailmerge sends out an email to everyone in the office asking them to confirm when they will need a desk in the next week.
As the normal employee doesnt get involved in desk planning I want them simply to state whether they will be in the building or not by entering "GH" (our building) in a cell under each day in the email they get sent.
When the reply comes in we select the cells from the email and then paste them into the desk planning spreadsheet. -----
WHAT I NEED TO DO: Select some cells (must be in the same row - that we have just pasted in). Press a button on the Worksheet labelled "Auto Assign Desk", which does this:- For each cell that contains "GH", replace with the right-most cell to the left of the selection that starts "GH_"... (this is the start of a unique desk reference (GH_1_1, GH_1_2,etc.) -----
This will assign the employee to the desk they were sat at last, when they are in the office next week.
In column A, i have multiple levels followed by a letter (i.e. Level 1A, Level 1B etc).
In column B, i have some other details and then so on and so forth.
In column C/E/G lets say, i want to copy the information from column A to show only items that appear as "Level 1" (not "Level 1A", i only want it to check for things without the letter at the end). Then the same in column E but with "Level 2" and so on and so forth.
I also have data in Column B that is to do with column A (i.e "Level 1A" - "Metals") and so on with the following columns. I want the items that are in column B to also move over to column D when the things from Column A move to Column C, so at the end it will appear as below so it appears as above.
I would like to apply this formula to VBA and call to existing macro so that this is applied to all the cells in Col. A. How can I do that? Or, is there a better way to do it?
Buttom line, I'd like to see only the last 500 characters per cells in Col. A after I run the macro.
I want my formula to output a blank cell if the answer is 0. Ex. [B1=IF(A1=0, ???, A1)]. I want B1 = A1 if A1 is not 0. I want B1 to output a blank cell if A1 = 0.
If i want to remove the row that has value lower than 2 in a particular column (in this pic it's column L).
this column come from a =counta formula to count how many 'x' on each row.

i paste few rows below. the column i am talking about is highlighted as 'count' My data goes really long below, thus it's not effective to use filter option.
I have Excel 97. I'm working on a spreadsheet and I just can't figure out how to create a conditional formula that will look through Column A & B, then add up the related time value (hh:mm) in Column C.
A B C D Gender Age Start time End Time Male Adult 23:10 01:45 Female Adult 21:30 03:30 Male Adult 00:15 01:05 Female Juvenile 23:50 00:10
I tried the SUM(IF((A:A="Male")*(B:B="Adult),C:C)) or something like that.
The times seem to have a problem adding up or averaging if the time value exceeds 24:00 hrs. Or if it's computing numbers that some are before and after 24:00 hrs.
Is there some way to create a formula that will result in something like: Of 5 Adult males, the average start time was 23:50 hrs and the average end time was 01:30?
=SUMPRODUCT(--(GLCodes=$B7),MasterNetAmt_01) I want to dis-include the CC="06" in the summation. I tried using: =SUMPRODUCT(--(GLCodes=$B7),(cc="06"),MasterNetAmt_01)
I have a row of cells that contain a single letter: W,C,O.
I need to provide a count of the number of occurancies of each letter. So I have a cell that shows me the total W's, a cell showing me total C's and another showing total O's.
Whats easiest way to do this?
I know its not ideal, but on this occassion ive no desire to add and hide another column.
To calculate the result for a month is easy, but I can't figure how to get a single cell formula to calculate for the year. The sample attached explains it better.
In an adjacent column, I am seeking to display the letters, numbers or symbols that appear before '/'. I would normally solve this little problem with something like =left(A5,2) or some combination of left and len. This method fails when the formula finds a len of 8 when the previous highest len was 7.
I need a formula that would scan a given column for data, get the first available data from the first available cell ( D1 ), perform computation, input result in a different cell ( A1 ) and then delete the contents of D1 and move on the D2 and so on till end of data. So far I have been able to have the result in A1 but could not achieve the deletion of D1 contents. The purpose is to prevent the formula from scanning the data column from D1 again. In this way, the datawould be made available in one column and when the data have been processed the column would be empty and the result would be in another column.
I need to counting formula (I'm calculating weighted frequency of specific letters). My data is as follows:
A1 "lingual" B2 "28"
The formula needs to look at the word in A1 and count the number of times a given letter (e.g., "l") appears in the cell (any position), and then multiply the result of the count by the value in B2. In the example above, the answer should be 56 (the letter "l" appears twice in "lingual", so it's 28X2).
