How To Merge Different Workbook In A Single Workbook

how to merge different workbook in a single excel workbook. E.g. letus one workbook name is ram and another is shyam i want to merge both and make another workbook in excel like ram or shyam or another s..
I'm trying to find a way to save a single sheet of an excel workbook and in the same process delete all vba code and shapes from the new single sheet workbook. I was looking around and found this code which does save only the single sheet to a new one sheet workbook but doesn't delete the vba and shape that I have used to assign macros to in the original.
Code: Sub SaveSheetAsNewBook() Dim wb As Workbook Dim InitFileName As String Dim fileSaveName As String Dim wshape As Shape InitFileName = ThisWorkbook.Path & Format(Date, "mm.dd.yy")
I have multiple workbooks ( with unique names) under same folder. Each workbook has "Report-Corn" sheet.
I would like to copy cell "P15" from each (workbook-> report-corn -> P15) and paste to Master.xls workbook -> Sheet 1 one after another which is also located under same folder.
I would like to combine sheets A B and C into one sheet so that it looks like the sheet I created manually. I have began the processes using formulas but I am unable to combine the final sheet of data as the rows no longer line up using the same formula.
how to merge data from all worksheets into one new in the same workbook, see example in attach. There are 5 worksheets in the test workbook. Each worksheet has name of “Sheetx”,X=number of worksheet. Number of Row in each worksheet is uncertain, but it is always less than 35 (I will say it is “safe” range to prevent from missing data). Requirement: Vertically merge data from A1:F35 (including the “blank”) to “TEST”.
I am using Excel 2007 at office. By the way, I am NOT a excel expert, while posting your answer, could you please also explain how to do it step by step?
The following code was working for me and now no longer works. Also, it works when I step through but not when I run it normally (it stops at the line imeediately following this line:
OrigWB.Sheets("PP&E").Move after:=DestWB.Sheets(DestWB.Sheets.Count) ) regardless of what code it is - even if it is only a message box.
The error message is code execution has been interupted.
****************** Sub PPEMerge() Application.ScreenUpdating = False Application.DisplayAlerts = False Application.StatusBar = "Merging..." 'retrieve source docs: 'PP&E sheets from sec packages 'system beginning and ending balances
I would like to merge multiple workbooks into a master workbook. All the individual workbooks are identical and only have 1 sheet, and I would like to append them to the master as worksheets then sum them all together. The front sheet showing the totals from all the merged ones.
I'm trying to create a workbook that opens the windows explorer and let me select a workbook, then in one worksheet merge all the active sheets present in one.
is to have a folder where I drop multiple workbooks from different stores. There can be 1 or more workbooks at any given time in that folder. Each workbook is a different size as far as the information inside. Next I need to transfer certain columns to the Master Workbook and also have the store location added to the Master workbook (File Name). I have highlighted the store information that needs to be merged to the master, Store 1, Store 2. For reference I have attached a copy of the Main Folder which is on my desktop C:Documents and SettingsDesktopInventory.
2nd File Location: U:My Work FileName: 333.xls Worksheet Names: Pro _Ser1 Ser1 (A1) value= db Ser1 (B1) value=1
What I want is a master spreadsheet to 'suck up' data from all the Ser sheets within all Workbooks and populate the master spreadsheet with Column A =A1 Values from all the Workbook, Worksheets Column B=B1 Values from all the Workbook, Worksheets
I want to merge different worksheet of an existing workbook into one by macro .I did not want to repeat the rows label for each worksheet data. Also I want to get at right hand side i.e in G column the data to be extracted for respective worksheet in the merged data.I have enclosed in attachment an expected solution in a sheet name "merged".However the number of worksheet is here only 3 for sample purposes. However,in reality there is more than 3 .
I am using Excel 2007. I'd like to merge multiple sheets (about 13) into one workbook. The sheets are placed in one folder, and they all include 2 sheets, - only the first sheet should be merged into the final workbook.
The sheets will be updated every 3 months and merged again (-thus replacing the old data).
I have 4 different workbooks that I want to merge into one workbook. I tried moving the sheets from these workbooks into one workbook but to my surprise all the vba / macros didn't transfer over to the other workbook.
I searched here but all I can find were people that wanted to make a summary workbook or merge workbooks into a worksheet which isn't what i want to do.
I just want to simply merge these workbooks into one workbook without losing all the marco and vba stuff that are in each workbook.
I have a spreadsheet that has approx 10 different sheets (tabs at the bottom). I want to write a routine that will take one of the sheets, copy it to a new workbook, and email the newly created workbook using Outlook.
I've entered this question once before and got some suggestions that seemed to work for a while. Then it became hit and miss as to whether it worked or not. Now I'm geting a "Can't create object" error everytime. I want to break this one sheet out and send only it because I don't want to send the entire workbook.
I'm looking to run a VBA script that will take all excel spreadsheets within a specified directory and copy a named range "Data" from each worksheet, and place it into a consolidated worksheet.
"Data" array is tentatively B2:B16. However, these files are being sent to many resources to consolidate, therefore the range can change.
Subsequent records added via Column, not by row. So worksheet's 1 data would be A2:A16, and worksheet's 2 data would be B2:A16.
Names of the worksheets are variable, but all worksheets within a given directory will need to put imported.
My VBA skill is about as developed as a 2 year old's language skills. Could anyone assist me?
Macro to collate four workbooks into single workbook.
Sheets in workbooks also to be copied. The sheet 1 of the 4 workbooks should be combined into the sheet 1 of the new workbook. Sheet 2 of the 4 workbooks should be combined into the sheet 2 of the new workbook, and so on.
I am using Excel 2003 and need to save via VBA code a single tab in a workbook to a new workbook. I need to be able to specify the new workbook file name and location. The copy feature on the tab won't work because the data is too large and I get an ugly message using that option.
I will attempt to describe my problem the best I can. Thank you in advance:
I have a series of charts (and the tables in which the data for the charts is stored) located in a worksheet. I copied and pasted each one of these charts next to its original. I then moved each one of the new, pasted charts into a single chart sheet at the end of the workbook. Is there a way, via macro or otherwise, to update the charts now located in chart sheet if any changes are made to the original charts?
I have a file which contains a list of all employees and the extra vacation time they have purchased by manager. I need to create a separate workbook for each manager saved as whatever is in the Manager Field, in a folder that I specify. I would like to have a VBA macro that does this.
No cells contain formulas, but I do need the formatting to be the same.
I have attached a small sample of the file that needs to be split. Since there are three managers in this file there should be three workbooks created.
Using example code from Adding Custom Menus, I now have functional menu items that call my macros appropriately. The example also contains code to add or remove a menu conditional on its window being active. What I need is a slight variant on this but not quite obvious to my novice brain.
The add and remove menu code is now stored in my personal.xls file. However, I need that the condition check that a key string be present in the name of the active window, not the file where the macro is stored.
Thus, if the front window is of the file named MyData, then the special menus get added (the conditional string is "MyData"). If the window is named YourData, the special menus get removed. Note, neither of these two files contain any macros.
Is there a way to specify the filename for an external workbook that can be referenced throughout the spreadsheet? In my case it would be better if I could change the single reference instead of having to change it throughout the entire spreadsheet everytime I needed to use data from a different file.
I have a series of workbooks which will be completed by different people and emailed back to me and I am looking for a macro that can take them all (they will all be located in the same folder) and reassemble them, so that:
a) the header row (which is the same on each sheet) only appears once in row 1 b) the drop downs and formula remain intact throughout on the reassembled sheet
I've attached some sample sheets, basically I would receive back the sheets, North, South, East and West (although they wouldn't be called that) and I would like to be able to run a macro that results in the sheet called 'All', which maintains the dropdowns and formula. I could either start with a blank sheet for the reassembly or a sheet that only has the header row, either could work.
I have another little conumdrum I'm trying to work out.
I'm using one of Ron's scripts as an add-in which I've just amended the output path for.
http://www.rondebruin.nl/tips.htm
This script essentially creates a new workbook from each worksheet in the active workbook.
As I have a workbook of about 500 worksheets, I am trying to group the worksheets opposed to having to split all and rejoin them manually.
Luckily all of my worksheets names are initials with numbers after them (as assigned by excel when merged):
e.g., RH, RH (2), RH (3), RH (4), AG, AG (2), AG (3) and so on.
That said there are some random ones too, but I'm happy for them to be kicked out as individual files.
Anyway I'm pretty sure there is a way this can be added into this existing script by addressing Sheet.Name perhaps but I'm a bit unsure exactly..
Sorted in order (i.e. 2,3,4) would also be a bonus but not essential as they need to manually checked and I have a separate macro for sorting worksheets anyway.
I need a code to be applied to a VB button that will email out a selected worksheet within the workbook, lets say i need to email out sheet5. Is it possible when the button is clicked to bring up my email client, (it's not Outlook) with the file already attached so i just need to add the email address/adresses?
On a weekly basis, I receive a single worksheet in a workbook that contains ~30,000 rows of product sales.
Row one contains column headings that is unique to all other rows. Column A contains the store number that sold the product. There are ~50 unique store numbers.
I am trying to create a macro that will break the report up into seperate workbooks.
For example, assume in column A there are 30 rows of data for 3 different store numbers (say store 112, 386, & 798, each with 10 rows of data). I want to create 3 new workbooks and include the same column heading for each. For example, name new workbooks as follows: "Store 112", "Store 386", "Store 798".
