I am trying to create a table that will show the number of times a registration number has occurred in the last 6 weeks.
I can get it to display the values if I manually enter the rows that are in the last 6 weeks but I would like it to do it for me so other people can view the data without having to change values etc.
so Basically I have the date an entry was made in column B and the registration numbers are in column M. I have tried various combinations of COUNTIFS, SUM(IF and DCOUNT but to no avail! It either returns a 0 or an error.
i am trying to amend my if statement in the 6 WEEK COLUMN to only show for entries that have 13 in the weeks column, I want the entries that show 2 or 26 to come up with a blank result. I have attached an extract for your information.
I have a spreadsheet for tracking jobs. Most everything is based off of week # rather than date. I am trying to get the stats page of the workbook to tally the total number of late jobs per week. The current week is taken care of because there is a function that automatically displays on time yes or no and I just set it to count the yeses or nos.The problem I am having is for past weeks.
I tried- =COUNTIF(Table2[On-time],"No"+(CountIF(Table2[Week # Hidden],"<Weeknum(Now())" but that doesn't work. I also tried isolating the < like this. =COUNTIF(Table2[On-time],"No"+(CountIF(Table2[Week # Hidden],"<"Weeknum(Now()) and that did not work either.
------ UPDATE
In response to using CountIFS I have also tried-
=COUNTIFS(Table2[On-time],"NO",Table2[Due Week '# Hidden],"<Weeknum(Now())") this just returns a zero value even when I have a late job listed three weeks ago.
Trying to think of a formula that will tell me the number weeks stock I have, would like to put the formula in h6 and copy across giving me the weeks stock
I would like to display a number as weeks and days. For example the number 8 needs to be displayed as "1w 1d" or the number 14 as "2w 0d"
I am able to use a formula such as =INT((C3)/7)&"w "&(((C3)/7)-INT(((C3)/7)))*7&"d" but I wish to preserve the formatting of a number so that I can add 2 or more numbers together.
I am hoping that there is a way of doing what I want using the Custom Category in the Format Cells dialogue box.
I want to add a numeric number eg: 4 to a date format eg: 15/08/2007 so that it calculates 4 WEEKS from 15/08/2007 and returns the CORRECT date in a date fomat itself. How do i do this through a VB code ?
I have a spread sheet I have set up to calculate sales results, I have a column for each week in the quarter with the date at the top and a different page for each individual. I want to be able to enter a number to show how many weeks we have had and the spreadsheet to give me a cumulitive amount for the cells up to that date.
For example if I was to enter 1 in a cell A1 I would want the sum t work out just C3 for example.
If I enter 3 in A1 I would want the sum to be C3+C4+C5 wich is the three cells.
If I enter 6 in A1 it would be C3+C4+C5+C6+C7+C8 etc.
I have a large spreadsheet with various data. On the first column I have a list of user ids, this is a unique id to each user. In each row there are data there are varies other data. I want to find a unique id and then add up the figures from week1, week2, week3 and week4.
So lets say I want to find user number 1 and the total for weeks 1, 2, 3 and 4, how would I do that using an excel formula? I have given an example below but I have simplified to spreadsheet.
I am trying to create a simple set up where the operator can enter a starting date and the number of weeks they want this event to occur. This then produces a column of dates from the starting date to the end date for the number of week entered.
I am looking for a simple formula that would look at column A2-A100 and calculate the whole number for the number of the week I am on. So in cell K22, I would like it to add up the A column and spit out a number 4, then on Monday when I add a new record I would like it to automatically update to a 5; indicating the 5th week I have been tracking the data. This number is needed to calculate the average amount in a work week accurately and automatically in cells K20 & K21. New weeks start on Monday and end on Friday. No data will ever have a date of a Saturday or Sunday. I have colored the cells currently to indicate what the number should be. There is 4 alternating colors now. The color coding is just for reference and will not be used going forward. Data will be entered weekly indefinately.
I have a somewhat large spreadsheet that is imported from an AS/400 database which shows the number of times something is being used. It lists the object in a row for each use. For instance, if the object is being used 4 times, there would be four rows of this object's name as well as a 0, 1, 2, 3 next to the correct row. Where it is being used is listed in the H Column.
I'm just trying to count the number of times each object is used and where it is used and list it out in another worksheet. Like this:
Object 1, 4 uses, Place 1 2 3 and 4.
Can someone point me in the right direction in terms of where to start with this? I don't mind giving it a shot in terms of the coding but I'm somewhat at a loss in terms of the general "how to".
I need to figure out the number of occurrance of a letter in a word written in a cell. For Example i am writing "pattern" in a Excel cell. I want to know the marco/vba code that will give me the number of occurrance of each letter. The output should be:
When setting up a Direct Debit There are 3 options, the 7th, 17th and 27th. I've put these into a drop down list. I need this list to be slightly dynamic. I must allow 10 working days from the date of the arrangment before I can apply the DD.
To explain further. If someone were to want to set up a DD and spoke to me today. If they then requested the DD be taken on the 7th, I wouldn't be able to set it up until the 7th of December as 10 working days are required. I'd like the list to reflect this. I can do it in OO with a simple if / switch but excel is a strange creature and I'm not sure how to approach the problem.
From that I think I also need to calculate the number of weeks remaining in the current financial year. I think I should be able to do this by using the Today() function and some maths.
In a datafile I have one column containing a trip 'origin' and a second column contains 'destinations'. I want to count how many times each trip occurs (so the same origin/destination pair). This is doable using COUNTIFS but unfortunately respondents did not provide consequent origins and destinations. I encountered the following formulations
Since the format is different among and within respondents functions containing LEFT, RIGHT, MID are not useful (at least, my trials did fail). I found a VBA-script for a FUZZYVLOOKUP which sounded promising. Unfortunately the data is stored on a remote PC without VBA on it.
Is there a way to count the occurrences of trips given the circumstances?
I have an excel spreadsheet to record employee holiday and sickness figures.
It is set on as a grid e.g. column A stores all the dates and then employee names are used as column header.
One of the triggers I need to use is where, an employee has been absent 28 consecutive days. When an employee is absent I simply enter 'ABSENT' against there name.
Countif will count the number of time absent appears in the column however I need it to only recognise it if it is only 28 days in a row.
What I want is in column B to give the sequential count that each number is for that number. In other words in row one the number 4 appears for the first time and so the sequence number is 1. It next appears in row 4, so the sequence number there is 2, and for row 6, it is 3.
The completed table will look like this:
A B 4 1 3 1 5 1 4 2 3 2 4 3
Any formula for the cells in column B? My actual list is about 5,000 lines and so I need a formula that is not slow.
In need checking if a particular ID number is repeated more than once in column B. I need to write a formula in each cells of "No.of Repetition" column or Column C to check if respective ID number in column B is repeated more than once and display the count or display a condition true or false.
I am running Excel 2007 at work in compatibility mode. My company is in the process of switching to Excel 2007, but not everyone has it, so I save my files in Excel 97-2003 format, so they can be viewed by everyone.
Problem: I am trying to count the number of occurrences of "dates" between a starting date and an ending date. (e.g., cells B16:B1000 contain dates when a test at work was performed. I want to count all tests that occurred between 12/30/2007 and 1/9/2007.) Please note that the dates cross the new year
More Info: I have searched this board, found a similar post, and tried the different formulas listed but get a result of "0" (zero). If I try the same formulas at home using Excel 2000, they work. The formula types I've tried include regular and array styles I am led to believe that this is either an Excel 2007 bug (bug??? - Nah, not from Microsoft!), or one of the cute changes between the new and old versions that I keep running across. The last possibility is that I am doing something wrong, which a smart betting man wouldn't rule out either!
Look at 2 columns and assess if certain criteria and then count the number of these certain criteria. I give an example below:
Column 1: Has a drop down box of possibilities from: "Red", "Amber", "Green", N/A
Column 2: Has a drop down box of possible choices of: "Significant", "Other".
What I would like to do is have a formula which will count the number of times you have "Red and Significant", "Red and Other", "Amber and Significant", "Amber and Other", "Green and Significant", "Green and Other" and "N/A and Significant" and "N/A and Other".
I am working on a spreadsheet that tracks employee attendence and I am hoping there is a formula that can count the number of occurrences (see below) not the number of incidents (total number of times it comes up).
I am trying to find out if Sumproduct or Countif will provide me the answer but in vain. In the example of the 2 columns of data, how do I find out the number of one-time (or unique) combined occurences for data in column A and B? In my example the answer should be 5. I do not how to proceed with my Sumproduct formula which gives error. =SUMPRODUCT(($A$1:$A$17="A122")*$B$1:$B$17)
Is it possible to do the following with a formula in Excel...
I have a list of users with the dates they first logged into a system and the date they last logged in. I'm trying to group them together into segments so I can analyse them using a Pivot table and chart to see how often different groups are using the system, e.g. New customers in December, November, October, etc.
The trouble I am having is trying to convert the different human-readable text strings into a consistent number of weeks from today's date, e.g.
USER FIRST LOGGED IN LAST LOGGED IN user 1 2 years 20 weeks 54 sec ago user 2 44 min 7 sec 1 min 37 sec ago user 3 49 weeks 2 days 17 min 3 sec ago user 4 5 weeks 2 days 33 min 32 sec ago user 5 38 min 9 sec 38 min 9 sec ago user 6 5 weeks 3 days 1 hour 7 min ago user 7 2 hours 17 min 2 hours 11 min ago user 8 45 seconds ago 45 seconds ago
Is there a formula I can use to convert these human readble text strings into a number of weeks elapsed since today's date?
I'm trying to count the number of occurrences where two conditions in a table are true.
I have a table that has two columns for ratings; impact and probability. Each can be scored 1-5 This creates a matrix table of possible scores from 1 - 25 (image attached)
I want to COUNT the number of items in each of the boxes (not the total score). For example, how many are Impact 5 and Probability 5 (25 total); how many are Impact 4 and Probability 2 (8 total), and so on. Basically a count of the each of the intersections in the matrix.
Something like "Countif Impact is 5 AND Probability is 5"
Is it possible to count something once, checking for multiple conditions?
I have a data with phone number, date and time.I want to track how many number of calls came on a particular date and during a particular time. formula which would work in excel and track the same.
I have a very large range of text; g2:g23000. I am trying to find the number of times ABC shows up in this range and provide a count. The cells contain all bits of information, but i am only looking for ABC.
