how to use the group box to group a number of option buttons together.
Question is, lets say, i have a total of 4 group box. if i want it to work in such a way where by once 2 option buttons are being selected (1 option selected from each group box), the rest of the option buttons in the 4 group box will be greyed out. is that possible?
I have a form that contains a group box with option buttons, and for clarity's sake, next to it another group box, also with option buttons. So, I can choose 1 option in one box and another option in the other box at the same time. I'm sure you heard me coming a mile away, but here it goes anyway: how can I link the two group boxes (and option buttons) so I would only be able to choose 1 option out of both boxes?

I am having a problem with one of my workbooks. I have grouped some columns, but now I can't see the button on the top of the grouped ones. I tried to group/ungroup again and, as there were some hidden rows, I tried to unhide them all and it is still not working.

I have searched around for about 2 hours and can not find any documentation on how exactly to create a buttons and make it do what I want. I have also tried F1 in Excel but that hasn't helped any either. I did stumble uppon a file called "Options.xls" when searching this forum but it does not explain how the buttons were made. The only thing i can figure out how to do is basically insert a button onto the document, and rename the label of the button that's about it. I basically want to create a group of (3) or so buttons. If button A is picked, cell D1 will display "x". If button B is picked, cell D1 will display "y", and so on. Is there a link to an example out there that shows how to create and use buttons?

What I want to do is automatically get excel to group all the same names together. Then I want it to sum all the values for each name, then order by largest total value for each person, then order that by name alphabetically. In other words, the above would look like this after the sort:

Jung Joe $700
Jones Jim $1000
Jones Jim $200
Jones Jan $300
White Jon $200
White Jon $100
Or, if necessary, there could be sum total rows under each name...although I don't have spare rows, so IDK. I could delete some rows if I had to, but would rather not.
Conditional formatting. I want to change the color of a group of cells based on data in another group of cells. Example:
If cells G8 and G9 (which are merged) are between 80% and 94%, then I9,I10,I11 (which are merged) will turn Yellow. Also, under the same scenario, IF G8 and G9 is greater than 94%, then cells I9, I10, I11 will turn Red.

What I want is to get the proper category for this number depending upon there digit for eg.

A user need to just key in the number, press tab (or any other button) and group for that number
must be displayed (depending upon the compostion of that numbers).
What I can think of is to first seprate each digits from the given number, verify it and then filter them through the groups to get the final group.
Every month we have to reconcile our checks and then enter them into our application. We have an option in our application that we can do Check Number ranges. We are trying to find an away to have excel to put the checks in ranges either by a formula, a micro or a pivot tables. We have over 700 checks each month to reconcile.

I am looking to count group numbers that are bound to a nomenclature number. So I have made an example below. The nomenclature number is bound to 1. I have a worksheet that has 2 columns on it 1 is numbers and the others are

If the current line is the first transaction of the category, the formula should return the value in Col C for that line (so E2 would equal the value in C2, which is 2).
So the first part of the formula could be straightforward, using the helper column:

Here's the tricky part: If it's not the first occurrence of the category, then it should return the value of Col C for previous transaction (or the next lowest number in Col C that is within the same category).
E3 would return 4, since the previous transaction for Category A was line 9

I have several option groups (Y & N in each) linked to cells to display TRUE / FALSE depending on which option is selected in each group. I have another cell which I want to apply conditional formatting to if EITHER Y or N is selected in all groups. At present I use COUNTIF to check for FALSE=0 in the linked cells which works if all the answers are Y. How do I apply CF if there is a mixture of Y & N (TRUE / FALSE) in all groups (I'm not sure if I've explained that well or not).

How do I enter a formula in excel 2010 that will give the total amount of times each number is in this group. Example : how many times (total) the number 12 showed up , how many times the number 27 showed, and so on for each number that is in the entire group of numbers, from 1 to 80 .
Here is the page I will copy and paste into a workbook sheet from the internet that i want to evaluate the times each number was called.
Very new to all this , I am a bit aged and need not to learn excel A to Z, just need to know what correct statements /formulas have to be entered to do what i desire.
I am only interested in the total count of the small bold numbers 1 to 80, each single digit 1 to 9 and double digits 10 to 80 will be in their separate cells. The large bold three digit numbers and dates/times will have to be erased (manually) before the calculation takes place.

I created a frame in a spreadsheet I put in 2 options buttons that I called Left the first one and Right the second one. I got 2 cells lets say C10 and G10 in these 2 cells I write the cell number values. When I click on button one or Left, I need the cell C10 be set focussed and write a number e.j 5. However, when click on the second butt to write a number e.j 7, the number in the cell C10 still there, so, what I need is a cero or an empty cell C10, and viceversa. Could you help to write a code for this problem.
