(Userform) Textbox, Center Text Vertically?
Jan 6, 2010We can center horizontally with TextAlign (Left, right or center). Can we center text in a textbox on a userform vertically? I am working with multiple fonts, when a user selects a font I attempt to format a textbox as a display to show what is being created (Best WYSIWYG as I can). I have this particular font that is just ugly but is required. My textbox is set for a 12 point font but the displayed characters partially appear below the lower portion of the textbox. Think of cutting off about 1/3 of the bottom of all text in the textbox.
In my textbox it seems like the text could be moved up (some type of top margin?). All other fonts appear to display in the textbox vertically central, so I believe its the particular font selected causing the as displayed anomaly.

Apr 2, 2008Is it possible to vertically center the text in a userform label? For example: I have a label that's 22px high, but the text is only 10pt -- at the moment it just hangs out at the top of label looking bad.... I'd like to place it the middle if possible.

Mar 14, 2008Here's a weird one: I can't get some of my cells to align to center/left/right. Both the buttons on the toolbar and Format->Cells->Alignment won't work. The kicker is that other cells on the same sheet will center/left/right just fine. Is there some kind of formatting protection I inadvertently set?
fyi, Excel 2003 on XP Pro, all fully updated.
Find Specific Text In Multiple Rows / Columns And Align All Vertically To Same Column
Apr 25, 2013I have a macro that converts all my PDF Purchase Orders to a text file and inserts the data/text horizontally into another document. However because the PDF's or the text within the PDF can be fomatted differently (that is on different lines etc) it therefore imports the information and it looks mis-aligned.I have attached a simple spreadsheet showing some sample text as it is imported and then below this how it should look like, all in line.
The range where the highlighted text in red is, is variable (but say nothing more than a variant of 10 columns). The text can also be Uppercase or Lowercase.So, I was wondering if there is macro code to find the "text" on various rows/columns and align it all in another column?

Text To Columns (vertically Stacked)
Jul 22, 2009Had a quick browse through the forums for an answer but as it is quite hard to describe i cant quite find the answer.
Basically I need to split some cells but they have stacked text in them i.e
Cell a1 shows:
666666
part 77777 x 20
5x s452563
Cell b1 shows:
1x 254684564
3x 4481211111 & 5 ea g8373
etc.
When i run the text to columns function i only get the first line of the data, i could ideally like to split the data by spaces and/ or line breaks.

Sep 5, 2008I am trying to link from one spreadsheet to another and drag the cells down to copy the forumula, however I want to drag vertically on Sheet 1, and Copy the values horizontally from sheet 2.
For example, in sheet 1 I link cell A1 to equal cell A1 in Sheet 2. If I drag down the formula in sheet 1 A1:A10 then it will copy the values in cells A1:A10 in sheet 2.
Now what I want it to do is for me to drag the formula in cell A1 down to A10 in sheet 1, but for this to return the values of A1:J1.

Dec 17, 2009I have a task that I need to perform every now and then. And even though I normally find my ways around in Excel, I can't find a working solution for this one.
I have a list of features that I need to match with another list and place them on the same rows in my sheet. The attached file contains 2 worksheets where "Before" shows my normal input, and "Wanted" shows what I need to do.
Cols A-E contains info for the first set of features, cols G and H is the cells I want to move. Please note that sometimes the G and H columns contains info that are not present in A-E, and then I need to move those features around as well. An example is present at the bottom of the "Wanted" sheet.
Excel 2010 :: Text Aligning Just Slightly To The Left Of Center
Dec 10, 2012My current spreadsheet shows text that's aligning just slightly to the left of center. In the Format Cells menu under Alignment, I have selected Center for both Horizontal and Vertical. There is no indent. Orientation is 0 degrees. Text is set to wrap. Merge cells is unchecked. Text direction is Context.
When I double click a cell to change the text, it centers correctly as the cursor blinks. But when I click somewhere else and it stops blinking and allowing me to type in the cell, it aligns slightly to the left of center.
Range With (Center Across Selection) Cells In It
Jan 30, 2012I am trying to use Range.Find in a named range that has some areas where two cells are merged using the format "Center Across Selection"
Set rngTemp = wbMaster.Range("PnLDateRow").Find(what:=dDate)
I get a run time error 438 "Object doesn't support this property or method"
Is it not possible to use this method to find the cell in this range? I tried iterating through the range but that errors also.

Cells Not Responding To Left, Right, Center Arrangment
Jan 19, 2010I think I did something but I don't know What. I select a cell that has a 20 font Size I enter a number it show at the 20 Font. Now when I go some ware else in the work unselecting that cell the number went to font 10 and droped to the left bottom of the cell. When I select the cell again and select the the left middle and right to move the number it does not responed. It happens everyware in the worksheet.

It works perfectly to display daily dates in the mm/dd format. Now I want to have an overarching month/year displayed over the entire range for any particular month by merging and centering the cells above the month's dates the above code populates, and pull in the month/year formatted as mmm-yyyy. I've attached a mock up I did manually to convey the desired result.

Add Blank Cells For People Not On Each Years List So All Names Align
Jan 23, 2009I have 10 columns that are as follows. Name, rank 04, name, rank 05, name, rank 06, name, rank 07, name, rank 08. The longest name and rank list is over 1200 names long. What I need to do is create 1, 3, and 5 year averages based on rank.
My question is, is there a way to sort alphabetically that will automatically align column a,c,e,g,and i alphabetically that will also align each row by name.
example:
name 04 05 06
joe 75 72
paul 82
carl 72 48
Joe isn't present in 05, Paul isn't present in 04 or 06, and Carl isn't present in 06.
Basically I need excel to add blank cells for people not on each years list so all names align.

Mar 27, 2014Basically I want to see more dates, as you can see I've dropped down Cell B1 (31-Mar) to the B28 (27-Apr) Obviously if I wanted to see past 27-Apr I would just continue the drop down but I want to keep it within 28 rows and carry the dates onto cell C1-C28, D1-D28 etc, is there any way to do this using the drop down function or will I have to drop down each column individually then look date in the last row of that column and type the next date myself on the next column and drop it down?
