Autofiltering Dates By Selecting Month

I have a large spreadsheet which has a column of dates (dd-mmm-yyyy) in it. I would like to be able to filter by month regardless of dd and yyyy. I would like to see all quotes in Jun.

I have created a time sheet in excel (see attached) that will be part of the larger workbook that will be linked with other sheets to auto fill in most fields. I am wondering if there is a way for an user to enter a Month and a Year at the top of the page and that in turn automatically fills in the days of the month by week.
So in attached sheet there are 5 boxes representing 5 weeks in a month. So if we used May 2014 as an example I would like to know if there is a way that once May 2014 is entered in up to top that. Excel fills in the dates in Week #1 with under Thursday showing 1st, under Friday showing 2nd as on for the entire month...
So as the month go by all user has to do is state the month and year and excel fills in the weekly dates for each day in month.

In a sheet I enter the following:
... in A1 a year (say 2012)
... in A2 a month, formatting as "MMM" (JAN, FEB, MAR etc.)
How to automatically get in column A (say from A3) all the dates of the month entered, formatting as "D/M/YYYY" (e.g. 1/1/2012, 2/1/2012/ 3/1/2012, etc.)?

I have a range of dates from 2003 to 2012. I formatted them to the 'Mar-01' option, but when I want to pivot on the month, Excel still reads them as the date - example 3/25/2008, 3/28/2008...and so my pivot table has multiple columns for all of the dates present in that month.
How do I truly format my dates so that excel reads them as the month only so that I can then pivot and show 12 columns (months) per year?

I have a sheet with a date and the number of months on it which will change. I need the sheet to list the dates in a column for each month automatically: e.g. Two cells contain date “jan07” and the period “10” months. The rows A1 to A10 should have jan07…jan16 listed automatically. If I change then change the number of month to 11 I would like the rows A1 to A11 to update automatically.

Ive created an invoice. The data is being entered on the previous sheet & then this invoice reads the data from the previous sheet through the formulas as shown below. The data that is entered, is entered contineusly everyday, so the invoice calculates the amounts from the entire data input sheet. I need to add some controll to the invoice where I can select a starting date & an ending date, and then the amounts must be calculated on the invoice according to the selected dates.

I have a list of data that displays data by day, I want to select only the data for the for the current month and then the same day time frame for previous months in the data set.
E.g.
Today's date 08/07
Full days into month 7
Formula to sum data in columns B that only looks at dates 01/07-07/7
I will the adjust that formula for a January date that only pulls data for 01/01-01/07
Then repeat for Feb-June

I need a macro that will, (i) make a copy of the current sheet, (ii) let the user select the month to be selected from a list (Message box), then (iii) delete all other columns in the sheet that is not from the selected month and then, (iv) total the data of the selected month in the empty cell on the right.
The sheet contains data in the following way:
Column A = Description of data in rows
Column B to IV = in each column is a specifics day data
Row 1 = Branch Name
Row 2 = the date in the format 2006/05/16 for 16 May 2006
Row 3 – 361 = financial data

I am working with two files everyday: today's and yesterday's. Each report has the day's date in the name of the file.
So I'll take today's (11-5) and import it into yesterday's (11-4). Then, tomorrow I'll take 11-6 and import into 11-5. The day after, I'll take 11-7 and import into 11-6. So on and so forth. I'm trying to figure out how I can get VBA to accommodate these changes in names. So that it sees the date in the name of today's report, sees that it is today's, then selects yesterday's (or says "Open yesterday's report!"), and imports the information.
I can figure out everything else, just not the naming issue.
I guess I could always stipulate to the person running it that they should only have these two workbooks open and that they should run the macro starting in yesterday's workbook. Just writing VBA code to select the only other workbook so VLOOKUP can be done from it. But I am trying to make it fool proof.

I have created a calendar as part of main userform and I need to be able to select 2 dates and link them to 2 cells in the spreadsheet. I need to compare dates that include both the date and time of day, to find when the day changes.
I have a large list of dates (also includes the time of day in the same cell). There are specific values in the next column that correspond to that date. Some of the values that are too great and have to be changed. This I have figured out with some help from this forum. When a value is changed I need to add together all the values for the corresponding day, some could be above and some could be below.

I have a spreadsheet that contains dates in column A, the number of rows between each date can vary. Selecting a cell with a date in will activate a checklist in the form of a UserForm.
I am trying to create a macro that will count the number of rows from one cell with a date, to the next cell with a date, and then resize the selection for printing.
So far I have this;

My problem with this code is that when it reselects the InitialCell, the UserForm is reactivated. Is there a way to achieve the same results without having to reselect the InitialCell, and therefore the UserForm wont pop up? I tried adding the Unload UserForm1 line but it doesnt have any affect, the form still pops up.

I wanted to determine the number of days between two dates. Specifically, if the initial date is in one month, and the second is in a different month and an output would result a number of days in each month until the final date. BUT I have a large amount of data to do this for in a list view, way to put a formula in excel and just drag down the entire list to get the required information. see below for an example.
The result I'm looking for is the separate the months and only show the relevant months between the two dates in one cell or the adjacent. Something similar to the table outlined below.

I have a worksheet that is password protected. The userforms used to input all the data have an initialize event that unprotects the sheet to input the data and then before protect the sheet upon closing the userform. This works perfect so that input data cannot be changed once entered; however, the problem I have is that I need to allow autofiltering so users can sort through their input data. I have a command button that unprotects the sheet and places the autofilters in the correct locations, but once this is activated the worksheet then is open for modifications by the users. Is there a way that I can allow autofiltering while still keeping the data protected? If .

I am trying to make it so a user can input a variable such as a date and then press a button which will autofilter a lot of data by what the user entered. The problem is some of the data I want users to be able to filter by needs to be filtered using "begins with" or is "greater than" or "less than". I can only make it so I can filter by "equals" when I try to do for example "begins with" using "*" it doesn't work out. Here is an example of my code

This code will auto filter data by what ever is entered into B4 on sheet 1. I can't figure out how I can filter with the "begins with" function or "less than" function using a variable.

I have an excel sheet where I would like a user to enter a start date and end date(say Feb 1, 2013 to Feb 28,2013). And these dates will be able to change to whatever month the user wishes to look up in a specific date range(column A has 365+ dates). This post is closely related to [URL]... but I cannot figure out how to get it to work from my case.
So working off the same worksheet, I have the beginning date in AC35 and the end date in AC36 in which the user enters. I would like the dates that fall in this entire month, including the beginning and ending dates to be referenced when looking for the specific day that contains a value I have in S35.
In other words, I have data in columns A through N. The dates are in column A and S35 is a value obtained from using Max(L185:L526) where L185:L185 is manually selected each time I want a different month. I don't want this to be a manual process of scrolling down the spreadsheet to get the next month.

I have a spreadsheet with approx 12000 rows.8 columns. it represent material in our inventory and each row is a specific records that contains a lot of info. I need to be able to have a field in a top pane (could be top row i guess. or a small form) where i can start typing text and as i am typing, the spreadsheet auto filter the rows to display only whatever fit my parameters i am typing. a few example of what i will type in are:
bearing*2217
valve*gate*3*150
asco*8344
as you may have guess, "*" is a wildcard. The spreadhseet are generated using crystal reports over night, so i am not sure how i can or should use macros or add in for this..

When I protect my sheet and have the option to allow the users to autofilter the sheet, how come it doesn't work? I want to allow people to autofilter the data in the worksheet but not modify the contents of the cell.

I am able to autofilter a sheet to show only rows with a date in Column U but no "x" in Column BC. Now I want to be able to put an "x" in BC in only the filtered rows. The purpose is if someone enters a date in Column U, the macro will show only those rows minus the rows that have already had an "x" added to BC.
For the most part I've gotten this to work using but it will also put an "x" in Column BC, row 3001 on down.
How can I get it to stop at the last row?
Cells.AutoFilter Field:=21, Criteria1:="<>"
Cells.AutoFilter Field:=55, Criteria1:="="

I need to delete entire row of the result of autofiltering i.e. the visible rows only
If I do this manualy it works but if I record this on a macro, it records the absolute cells range I pick, when in fact the result of the filtering is different every time.
Is there a way around this with VBA?
I've Seen Copy paste in this forum but in my case i need to delete the entire row.

I am trying to figure out how to save a worksheet's autofiltering settings and be able to re-create those settings.
I would start off with a spreadsheet with a few Autofilters on. I would like to make a macro that will record the initial Autofilter settings, then the macro would do a bunch of stuff that would need to 'Show All'. After these actions take place, I would like to be able to return to the initial Autofilter settings. I'm not even sure which VBA command should be used for this sort of thing.

I have a sheet that lists dates (several per month) and corresponding values. I want to sum all the dates for each month on a separate sheet. I was able to find the formula I need on another thread (http://www.excelforum.com/excel-gene...nthly-sum.html), however, my formula does not seem to work for the month of January. For January only, it actually sums all of the data available and gives me the total. Am I doing something wrong? My formula is:

In column (A:A) A1="Dates" (Sorted A - Z). For e.g. 1st date is 27-12-2011 and last date is 18-03-2013. I want to create month wise columns from B:B. Month Should start from the previous month of first date but for same year till the last date in above e.g Jan 11 till Mar 13.
B1= Jan 11 C1=Feb 11 D1=Mar 11 E1=Apr 11 F1=May 11.........................till AB1=Mar 13.

I have a worksheet of data I need to sum based on a monthly date range criteria onto a separate summary worksheet. Both are in the same workbook. I tried using SUMIF and SUMPRODUCT but can't seem to get the criteria correct when I add in LEFT into the argument for the date criteria "6/" or "06/". Here's where I'm at so far:
=SUMIF('2008'!E4:E149,(LEFT('2008'!E4:E149)="06/"),'2008'!I4:I149)
My table looks something like:

The 6/1/08 entry is intentionaly blank to be filled in as the value becomes known and then the totals would of course need to be updated.
