Automatically Call Userform When Cell Is Selected

I have some Worksheet_SelectionChange code that automatically calls a Userform when a cell is selected.

What I want to do is retrieve the data from the cell where the Userform is called from and enter it into a textbox on the Userform.

There are 3 other columns to the right of the cell that is selected.

If there is data populated there, I want this to be copied to the appropriate textboxes on the Userform too.

I have the following code pasted into the worksheet module which used to work fine but no longer does. I didn't touch the code, it just stopped working.

CustomColorInput 1-6 are the same except they input data into different cells F16-F21.

When I attach any of the CustomColorInput macros to a button it works fine. When I try to call it from the worksheet module, the data input box pops up but the data doesn't get entered into the cell. When I try to step through the CustomColorInput macros using F8, the input box pops up, I enter data and press ok. Then I continue with F8 and the debugger jumps to a custom function that I entered (below), which is not called for and is in no way related to the code.

When I close VBA, the data that I typed into the data input box is in the correct cell.

So basically, I'm getting three different responses from the offending code depending on how I call it up. Can anyone tell me what's going on?

More generally, in this and previous occasions, I've had problems with macros that cease to work for no reason that is apparent to me. What are some things that would cause a macro to stop working, without actually changing the code (other than the obvious, like referring to names or worksheets etc. that don't exist anymore)?

I occasionally give presentations with Excel and would like to make it easier for the audience to see a particular cell when I move to it. The cursor can be tiny, and some people have a hard time seeing the cursor, so I use the keyboard to navigate to the cells I talk about. Yet, the cell, which then has a border around it, still can be hard to see.

Is there a way in Excel to have a cell that is highlighted, that is I move to a cell with the keyboard, so that it pops out in a different font color or background or format, when I move to it, and it automatically reverts to its usual format and color when I move away from it?

Show Editable Userform When Specific Cell Selected?

I have a worksheet that has a months worth of data on it. The sheet is divided into sections with each day of the month being given 10 rows. So day 1 of the month will occupy rows 1 to 10, day 2 rows 11 to 20 and so on.

In each of these sectors, I would like to have an editable tick list that displays when a certain cell is selected. For example in day 1, selecting cell A3 will display the tick box. If I need a tick list for each day, would I need to create a fresh userform for each day or is it possible to have just one form and have excel remember the setting.

Userform Selected Date Is Transposing Month And Day When Writing To Cell

I've created a User Form to input data on a dashboard where you can select a date from a dynamic list of dates. The list of dates is calculated using:

This works perfectly for any date except dates from December. 3/12/12 (3rd Dec) turns to 12/3/12 (12th Mar) when it's copied to the cell. The same happens for 10/12/12 - becomes 12th October instead of 10th December.

I would like to insert the count of items selected in a listbox in a Userform into a cell. I have been scowering the internet and all of the solutions seem pretty clunky (or don't work).

An alternate way that I could do this is if I have the values selected be entered into a column and then I can use the =count() formula, but I can't figure out how to do that either...

How do I call the UserForm from within the macro that I created?

Once the user gives the input, how do I take the values and pass them to the loop in the macro?

I wanted to have that one appear whenever a certain cell in a certain sheet gets a specific value, and depending on the answer of the user the Form should set the value of some other cell. So maybe thereŽs a much simpler solution to this task than what I tried - and IŽll be grateful to learn about it.

Anyway I tried the code which follows below - and it works just fine when I call it from the VBE environment - but inside the UserForm it just stops in between (without any error message) when I operate it from the Excel sheet (but still succeeds with the function). IŽll be very happy if someone could solve this "miracle" for me (even IF thereŽs a better solution altogether). So I just provided a simple Function which does nothing but call the UserForm and is executed whenever the condition is met (some calls to MessageBoxes in between just have been added to see how far the code gets executed): Function:

Call Userform From Variable Number Of ActiveX Command Buttons

I want to be able to call one user form from multiple ActiveX command buttons. The problem is, the number of command buttons depends on user input on another worksheet, so it's variable.

I've renamed all of the command buttons so they are named "CommandButton" & i, where i is an integer between 1 and, say, 200. I want each of these buttons to direct to the same UserForm where additional information can be entered.

I can't think of a way around the event-handler procedure name.

Daily I am getting a file which have so many columns with different names. I used to select and move my required columns to separate place. For exp.

I have the file with various columns, such are.

Sales Qty, Year, Tax, Company Code, Discount Paid, Sales Amount, Company Name

The above column order are not constant, daily the order will changes. But we have to make the order as below

Company Name, Company Code, Year, Sales Qty, Sales Amount, Tax, Discount Paid

Like this we have so many columns in the file and we used to rearrange as required.

Any formula or any macro to avoid this manual work with error, so that i will save my time and free from error.

I have a work book with 3 sheets. Sheet 1 is the main sheet and sheets 2 and 3 will use (I hope vlookup) to update 3 columns from info in sheet 1. my attempt at a vlookup call in sheet 2 is: =VLOOKUP($b3,[master_AoJ_2.xls]Sheet1!$B$3;$B$65,false)

my understanding is that: - $b3 is the cell in sheet 2 that will be updated as a result of the vlookup call. - [master_AoJ_2.xls]Sheet1!$B$3;$B$65 refers to range $B$3:$B$65 on sheet1 of master_AoJ_2. it does not work... infact I get nothing at all. when I type the call into cell $b3 of sheet2 excel thinks it is stariaght text. this is how I coded the function call =VLOOKUP($b3,[master_AoJ_2.xls]Sheet1!$B$3;$B$65,false)

B1 to B10 Contains a vlookup with stock codes from another page. C1 TO C20 Contains drop boxes with various different stock items. I am have a spread sheet (sheet 1) with a number of columns and what i am looking to do is see all the people that are participating in a certain stage in the process that is not common, So what i am wanting to do is copy the names and the corresponding number of these people (on sheet1) over to a new worksheet(sheet2) based on a yes or no criteria further on in the spread sheet(sheet1). sheet 2 has additional columns that the workers here would need to fill in.

Basically it is a if statement saying that if the selected cell falls between 1/01/06 and 31/01/06 then Jan would be selected. The end part is not a problem; I’m just not sure how to write the one line of code that would test if the cell falls between the two dates. I attemped to create it as shown in the code attached below but wasn't successful. I used an else if statement to test the other 11 months.

Email Selected Sheets Via Userform

I am trying to set up something similar to the old "print dialogue" box whereupon the user presses a command button on the userform and all sheets within the work book are listed (eg:sheet1, sheet2 etc) The user can select any amount of sheets and and using "OK" outlook is fired up- pretty similar to Ron de Bruins code for email.

I have tried taking the print dialogue vba and stooping it at copy, then trying to gets Ron's code to continue- without success.

There are great bits of code I've seen for select tabs and selct sheets from listbox, but I have found none to email once selected.

Recall Last Selected Item In Userform Combobox?

I've created and coded a vba userform that creates purchase orders for my projects. The user begins by selecting the project code from the combobox (the project code is a unique identifier of each project). Once the purchase order is created, the information is logged in a separate sheet called "POLog" and the userform is cleared. The project code is saved in the first column of the "POLog".

My problem is that when I have more than one purchase order to create for the same project (sometimes I have 20 or 30), the combobox starts out empty and I have to manually select the project code from the combobox. Is there a way to allow the userform to recall the last project code that was used? Maybe recalling it from the last row in the "POLog" sheet?
