I have a spreadsheet that lists items in column A with a start date in column B. What I need to do is in in column C list the next review date in increments of 5 days, but I only want the next day to show from the current date, not the inputted start date.
For example:
Column A Column B Column C
Item Start Date Next Review Date
Item A 12-Sept-09 27-Sep-09
Can I get a formula to calculate the increments and only show the next calendar date for the review, and then to change to the next date once the previous date has passed.
Alternatively, I have another sheet in my workbook that calculates the dates, is there some way I can display the next future date in a line of dates?
I need to calculate the date difference between two dates and get the result in the number of years and proportion of months ie;
20/09/99 to 01/02/02 is 2.33333333 years. I can use the DATEDIF function to get 2 years 4 months as the result but for the calc I'm doing I need it in the format of 2.33333333. Thinking I just need to tweak the DATEDIF a bit but just can't work it out!
I'm trying to make a formula to calculate the difference in a date between two dates. For exaple, in my business we have a due day for something. So the due date could be Feb 10, we need to know if it was done on time, late, or early. So I've gotten it to display late by doing this: =IF(B2>A2, "Late", (A2-B2)) But then I can't figure out how to incorporate this: =IF(B2=A2, "On Time") or =IF(B2<A2, "Early").
I would like to displaly this all in one cell. So if the due date is Feb 10 and it's turned in Feb 8 it's early, turned in Feb 10 it says on time, turned in Feb 11 it's late. I also tried this but it didn't work: =OR(IF(B2>A2,"Late")*IF(B2=A2,"On Time")*IF(B2<A2,"Early"))
I need to determine a formula which will allow me to calculate a future date based upon a current date with varying time periods.
For example:
I have a bill which is paid on the 15th and last business day of each month. I would like to be able to see the next due date regardless of what day of the week it is.
I have a bill which is paid every other Tuesday. I would like to know the next due date without having to enter +14 for every due date in the future. In other words, it is preferable to be able to open the spreadsheet and automatically see the next due date, not use autofill to repeatedly add +14 to a previous date which would limit the # of future due dates that could be calculated.
I have a bill which is paid on the last business day of each month, not the last Friday of each month. I would need excel to return a value for the last day of the month which = Monday-Friday, regardless of what day of the week it may be as long as it isn't Saturday or Sunday(holiday exclusion would be nice but not required).
I have two worksheets in which I am trying to get the blue bold data (not text) derived from a formula.
Main
A B C 1 Site # First Apt Date Last Apt Date
[Code]....
Apt Report (month/day/year)
A B 1 Site # Apt Date 2 1001
[Code]....
I have some restrictions: I cannot alter the format of Main, except I can add columnsI cannot alter at all the data or format on Apt Report (I cannot sort, filter, pivot, add columns...etc)
Any way for Main to look at Apt Report and give me the earliest and latest appointment?
I have tried the DMIN function but am limited it seems to being able to change Main to accommodate it. I have tried an array with MIN(If but ran into issues with the cells on Apt Report that are blank...it would return those as the earliest appointment....albeit it is correct...but not what I need!!!
The Apt Report will continually be updated to, so I need to be able to search the entire Apt Date column.
I have a list of stores and the costs for various items.
Each store has (usually) more than one row.
Each store's items are totaled at the end of each line. Simple
What I do not know how to do is total all rows for each store, automatically. Like I said, I don't know how to explain it, so searching for it does not work out well for me.
Please see the attached sheet : How to Calculate Store Total.xlsx
I am doing a Golf scorecard but I have been having trouble figuring out how to calculate the last 6 lowest scores in a series of about 30 scores. What formula to use? Series looks like this
i am trying to both identify the start date and the end date of a series in excel.
if you will, picture a spreadsheet with two rows with data. the top row is comprised of dates in mm/dd/yy (end of month) format. the bottom line is percentages . . . a corresponding % for each date directly above. these percentages add to 100%. in two separate formulas, I would like to identify:
1. the date in which the first %>0 occurs (start date) 2. the date in which the cumulative addition of all months %'s equate to 100% or the date in which the last %>0 occurs (end date)
keep in mind many if not most of the %'s will be 0%.
I need to calculate the INTERCEPT and SLOPE of following daily stock prices, but 60 days before the announcement days. Its for my dissertation and Its the first time i have to work with that much data. Event study.jpgEvent.xlsx
How to get "only Sunday" highlighted in a series of dates included in excel columns. I tried some formulas found from the web pages, but they all deal with both "Saturday and Sunday"...
My intentions are for Excel to recognize a series of dates as a particular week in the year. For example: 12/28/2008 thru 1/3/2009 equals Week 1, 1/4/2009 thru 1/10/09 equals Week 2.
I cannot for the life of me calculate a working formula.
i have a time series of data at one hour interval ( from 6:00 hrs to 18:00 hrs ) each day and again from 6:00 to 18:00 hrs next day and so on for several years. in this series many data are missing. i ve to fill in these missing data in such a manner so that the new values becomes the linearly interpolated values in between the data given at any two hours. no rows are allowed to be inserted in between 18:00 hrs of the previous day to 6:00 hrs on the next day. pl see the attatchment.
I have a database where I would like to plot graphs from data of different periods and different series.
My current method is to go to the data set formulas and changing data range. The tricky part is that I might skip data series because I am selecting the series required for each chart.
How to do plot the different graphs efficiently and quickly.
I have two different columns of currency time series data with dates that do not align. One trades Monday-Friday, the other seven days a week.
I want to either a) add dates to the shorter series that only trades Monday - Friday (and just use the closing price on Friday for the Saturday and Sunday dates)
b) (not as good an option, as I will lose data) is delete the Saturday and Sunday data from the longer series that trades on the weekend.
I am trying to write a simple code that will take the last date in Col A and fill down until it gets to todays date.
Code: Sub Fill_down_date() Dim x As Integer lr2 = Worksheets("sheet2").Cells(Rows.Count, "A").End(xlUp).Row For x = lr2 To 20 If Cells(x, 1).Value < Date Then Cells(x + 1, 1).Value = Cells(x, 1).Value + 1 If Cells(x, 1).Value
I'm trying to workout how to take a known initial date a repeating frequency and work out the next due date from today.
Example
Initial Date :- 1st of January 2014
Frequency :- every 5 weeks
Current Date :- 9th of March 2014
Next Due date should be :-12th of March 2014 (if I worked it out correctly from my paper calendar)
I want to use a cell formula to do this for different initial dates and varying frequency periods (the frequency will always be whole weeks i.e. 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,8,10)
look at the attached file - it was a CSV file. i want to convert the column of dates to say Mar 14 2009 type date. but it only converts some of them. note some are on the left and some on the right.
The attached workbook has dates in column C, although some of these dates are just strings.
I'm trying to write some vba that will tell me how many of the cells in column C contain a date (or looks like a date) that is greater than (after) the real date in cell G1.
At the moment I loop through the cells in column C and can ascertain, which dates can be counted, then copy one row over at a time, but I'm looking for a slicker (perhaps one-liner) answer, perhaps by copying a block of rows in one go. The aim is to copy those rows to another sheet. There are many more rows than in the attached, and many sheets to process, and I have no control over the format of the dates/strings in column C. Currently it takes about 20 seconds to copy over the necessary rows, but I'm looking for it to happen much more quickly; current thoughts are to sort on column C (sorting on column C anything that looks like a number as a number - which has it's own problems!), have a count of dates satisfying the criterion (say using a worksheet formula such as COUNTIF or SUMPRODUCT, perhaps also using EVALUATE) then copy a block of rows in one go.
not very relevant, but the existing code is something like this which highlights rather than copyies the rows(included in the attached): ...
I have used the MAX function to populate the most recent date in a series. -EX. the most recent date input into the cells S8, T8, U8 will populate in cell R8. There is a default value of 0-Jan-00 that automatically populates in cell R8 as a result of the MAX Function. Any value that is input into cell S8, T8, U8 will show in cell R8 immediately after being input as a result of the MAX Function.
I need cell R8 to remail blank until the last of cells S8 or T8 or U8 has been input (in no specific order). Once the last cell has been filled; it is only at that time I need cell R8 to show that most recent date input into any of cells S8 or T8 or U8. I can't hide the column, I need cell R8 to remain empty until the last of the three cells- S8, T8, U8 has been filled (the last cell filled will not always contain the largest value or most recent date).
I have been trying to create a userform that will generate a numerical list starting in a given cell using a starting number, an ending number, and an increment that the user will imput into a textbox. I have a userform set up, but I do not know how to do any coding. I have very little experience with excel.
I would like a simple way to make a single column whose rows are sequenced Mon, Wed, Mon, Wed, ... and have the correct dates. For example:
Mon 2/11 Wed 2/13 Mon 2/18 Wed 2/20 Mon 2/25 etc.
Cell A1 could have Mon 2/11, Cell A2 would have Wed 2/13, and so on. (20 to 50 rows) The ordinary Fill Series when applied to Mon Wed will continue with Fri Sun Tue Thu and so on, or it will return Mon Wed Mon Wed Mon ... with the wrong dates. Also, the solution should be applicable for a Tue, Thu(TTh); or Mon, Wed, Fri(MWF); or Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu (MTWTh) series.
I can calculate the networkdays between two dates but how do I project a finishing date if I know the starting date, the holidays, and the duration of the task in working days? (Sample sheet attached, working in Excel 2003).
I need to calculate the amount of time between two dates, and show it in the number of hours and minutes. My dates are formatted to show the time in Zulu time. So 1406 = 2:06PM.
Here is what I have:
A1 = 6/4/08 1406Z B1 = 6/5/08 0402Z
For this example, the formula should return a result of 13 hours and 58 minutes. With the result, there is no need to desingate Zulu time with a 'Z'. But I need the result in a format that will allow me to calculate an average for all my data.
I would like to calculate the total hours between two dates using a unique formula and without inserting new columns. I have attached an example of the data I'm working with.
In my excel I want to use a calender date such as 05/21/09 and automatically add or subtract a specific number of days. For example: 10 days before 05/21/09....
I dont want to have to count back 10 days and manually enter it. Is there a way to have excel calculate and give me the date in my spreadsheet? i.e. automatically calculate (05/12/09)-(10 days)= 5/11/09. its not too hard when its 10 days, but when its -97 days, it can be very annoying.
