I'm having a problem creating a Reset All command button that will remove user entered unlocked cell values from an entire workbook save for one specific worksheet. So for example, I have five tabs labeled as "DTF", "Week 1", "Week 2", "Week 3" and "Week 4". I want one single command button (placed in the "DTF" worksheet) to remove all of the unlocked cell values from "Week 1" to "Week 4".

I have inherited support for the an Excel 'program' that seems to be fairly unstable. I am currently having problems with the following code in a subroutine (executed when the user presses a command button):
With ActiveSheet.PageSetup
.PrintTitleRows = "$1:$7"
.PrintTitleColumns = ""
.PrintArea = ActiveSheet.UsedRange
End With
Sometimes it works and sometimes I get the following error: Run-time error '1004'
Unable to set the PrintArea property of the PageSetup class.
… on the .PrintArea = ActiveSheet.UsedRange
I am having a hard time figuring out what is causing its wishy-washiness. Running the following code (launched from worksheet named 'consumer' with a command button):
Sub subConsumerFacesheet()...................

I was thinking of how the Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) macro can be used to paste values instead of formula when the user uses Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V. Instead of assigning a macro to a command button for user to activate.
Suppose I have a worksheet where the range ("D7:D56") is where I would want the user to paste his values in it.
I have to factor in the possibility that these values have formulas attached to them, and that the user is not tech-savvy enough to know about the "paste special --> values" functionality of excel, and chooses to use the Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V method instead.
What then appears are ####### which might alarm the user.
Neither would we want the user to press a button (which we can assign the xlpastevalues macro as an alternative) as that adds an extra step for the user. There is also a chance the user might not use the button, or overlooked it.
Is it possible to use the Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) macro, or sth similar, to paste values instead of formula when user uses Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V?

When a workbook is opened, (using OnOpen() ), I trying to get two header titles colors (A2, B2) to change from their usual Black to Red to Black to Red and finally back to Back.
I'm battling, especially with the time (1 second) for each change. I'm probably using the wrong approach. Can anyone suggest a sound method to achieve this?

I have 2 cells (B2 and C2) with date format, showing dates from a calendar.
FYI, These cells are NOT in my Calendar.
Now, I need to write a formula for my calendar cells to check these two cells (B2 and C2) and change the color of the cells inside my calendar according to the date sindicated inthese two cells (B2 and C2).
I did this with numbers using conditional formating and it works perfect but doing this with dates is giving me a hard time. Is there a way to do this? below is a link to my excel file.

I'm trying to have change if the date on it is passed "now()". I am already using the 3 conditional formatting fields and need this one and another one. Here are 2 problems I seem to be having.
First - the code below only works if I change the date on the cell. I want code to either work with Worksheet Active or any other way so the user does not have to redo the date’s everyday.
Second - a record might have conditional formatting already. Is it possible for the target cell in this code can show this color while the rest of the row shows the color of the conditional formatting?
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
Dim icolor As Integer
If Not Intersect(Target, Range("G1:G2000")) Is Nothing Then
Select Case Target
Case Is <= Now()
icolor = 39
End Select
Target.Interior.ColorIndex = icolor
End If
End Sub

I have a worksheet where I want the to change the collor of a range of cells in accordance to the value in another range of cells.
So if the value is "Gron" in cells C4:C27 then I want cells J4:J27 to return the color green. If, however, the value is "Rod" in cells C4:C27 then I want cells J4:J27 to return the color red.

How can I return name of a command button on click? I want to create some sort buttons on a sheet I will use regularly to speed things up. I thought if I could call each sort button by the column letter the button sits in I can use this in a single sub for all buttons
e.g the button sitting in column A is called "A". when i click the button, it returns it's name to a variable which I can then use to sort column A. I know I could create a seperate routine for each button but I was just trying to think of something neater.

I have a userform with a button on it named But1. Is it possible to store But1 into a variable then activate the But1_Click action using a variable?
Dim strButname As String
strButname ="But1"
Now, how would you activate the But1_Click method using strButname variable. With listboxes you can use the Control(strListboxName) methodology?
This doesn't work, but gives you an idea of what I am trying to do.

My worksheet with macros gets messed up when a user selects either multiple cells from column F or selects multiple cells in any one row (but only if column F is included) in the range C17:O116 and hits "delete". I will either do an exit sub, an application.redo, or something similar so that this doesn't happen, but I don't know how to write the code to trigger these events. So I need a way to determine "if the user selects multiple cells in column F and hits delete" or "if a user selects multiple cells in any row from 17 to 116 that includes the cell in row F, and hits "delete.""
Set Rng = Range("F17:F116")
Set rng2 = Range("K17:K116")
Set Rng3 = Range("L17:L116")

I currently have this macro that helps me SUM all the cells that are bold.
Public Function SumBold(Rng As Range)
Dim Total As Double
Dim Cell As Object
Application.Volatile
For Each Cell In Rng
If Cell.Font.Bold Then Total = Total + Cell.Value
Next
SumBold = Total
End Function
I want to have the same kind of Macro, but that could COUNT the number of cells that are Bold.

I currently am using a form button to create new rows.
I need two different kind of buttons. I have a button that does this-
VB:
Sub InsertRow()
'this inserts a row where the button is clicked.
Dim r As Range
[Code]....
However, when I try and create these codes using a Command button (I need it for the color), I get the error
"unable to get the buttons property of the Worksheet class"
P.S one other thing, say the button is in row 3, and Cells A1 and A2 are merged, when you click the button in row 3, it should extend the merge to A3.

This is probably really straight forward but cant see why it happens, the following macro works fine when called by a button created by the form toolbar but doesnt when called by a command button, get the runtime error 1004, "select method of range class failed"
ActiveSheet.Select
Range("B4:B37").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("G4:G37").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("B1").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("D1").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("F1").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("J1").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("M2:M3").Select
Selection.ClearContents
Range("B4").Select
ActiveWorkbook.Save
Application.Quit

I have a data base in which I classify cells in three colors (green, yellow, and red) on my own. I would like the first cell in each column to indicate if there is a red or yellow cell in it's column. Because red cells are more important then yellow cells, if there is a yellow and a red cell in the column, I would like the red to over ride the yellow and the first cell would indicate red.
So basically, if there is a red cell in the column, no matter what other colors there are, the first cell should show red. If there is only yellow or yellow and green cells, the first cell should show yellow. If there are only green cells or green cells and clear, the first cell should show clear.

I have read several articles saying using a command button as a toggle button can't be done but some articles have said it is possible using the state properties.
.State = msobuttondown
.State = msobuttonup
Is there any way to combine this with the onaction property so that when you press the button, it stays down and activates a macro then when you press it again it pops back up and activates another macro.
