Reset Command Button To Remove User Entered Values From Workbook?

Feb 27, 2013

I'm having a problem creating a Reset All command button that will remove user entered unlocked cell values from an entire workbook save for one specific worksheet. So for example, I have five tabs labeled as "DTF", "Week 1", "Week 2", "Week 3" and "Week 4". I want one single command button (placed in the "DTF" worksheet) to remove all of the unlocked cell values from "Week 1" to "Week 4".

Macro/command Button To Reset All Filters In Pivot Table

Aug 22, 2008

I have a pivot table with over 4000 entries and about 12 columns which i filter to get the info i want.

Unfortunately with so many rows and columns in the table, if i do a macro that gets each filter back to 'show all' its really slow.

Doing this manually using the "Show all" option in the filter takes a fraction of a second, so surely there must be a way to do this more quickly in VBA?

i can't understand why manually it takes no time at all, but automating it through recording a macro takes forever.

AutoFilter Reset Each Time Workbook Entered

Jun 22, 2006

I have a workbook that is accessed through a network by many users. The one problem that occurs with certain users is that they leave the autofilter on when then are in the spreadsheet. It has an autofilter on each title, and the user initials are an option to filter...certain users leave the filter on when they save the sheet so the next time someone else goes in, it only displays the previous users results.

Is there a way to reset the autofilter for the user initials each time the sheet is opened?

Macro To Paste Values Instead Of Formula When User Uses Ctrl-C And Ctrl-V (no Command Button)

Jun 10, 2013

I was thinking of how the Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) macro can be used to paste values instead of formula when the user uses Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V. Instead of assigning a macro to a command button for user to activate.

Suppose I have a worksheet where the range ("D7:D56") is where I would want the user to paste his values in it.
I have to factor in the possibility that these values have formulas attached to them, and that the user is not tech-savvy enough to know about the "paste special --> values" functionality of excel, and chooses to use the Ctrl-C, Ctrl-V method instead.

What then appears are ####### which might alarm the user.

Neither would we want the user to press a button (which we can assign the xlpastevalues macro as an alternative) as that adds an extra step for the user. There is also a chance the user might not use the button, or overlooked it.

Is it possible to use the Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) macro, or sth similar, to paste values instead of formula when user uses Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V?

Reset The Combo Boxes And Remove Selected Values

Apr 9, 2007

I have 4 combo boxes that allow me to make selection from pivot tables. As you know in the pivot table there's the "All Selection" which does not exist in combo boxes (I think), so I created a macro to reset all the pivot tables with the "All" option selected in all of them. However the values in the combo boxes are not changing.

Code Breaks Sometimes/sometimes Not: Subroutine Executed When The User Presses A Command Button

Mar 10, 2007

I have inherited support for the an Excel 'program' that seems to be fairly unstable. I am currently having problems with the following code in a subroutine (executed when the user presses a command button):

Opening A Workbook With A Command Button

Apr 21, 2009

I have been looking at summing closed workbooks here and decided that due to the problems people are facing I would be better off opening the workbooks

I have a command button that makes the cells switch between 2 sets of data.

The second set of data is held in a second workbook and needs to be recalculated every time. Works fine if the workbook is open but only returns the saved values if closed.

If have added some VBA to the Command Button that opens the 2nd spreadsheet, however, is there a way to get it to open in the background rather than on top of the sheet I am working on.

My humble approach has been to write a macro and then edit it to go back to the original sheet I have been working like so:

Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
'
' OpenABC Macro
' Macro recorded 21/04/2009 by martin.lucas
'
' Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+M
'
ChDir "L:CustomersABCABC Stats"
Workbooks.Open Filename:="L:CustomersABCABC StatsMasterABC.xls", _
UpdateLinks:=0
Windows("TopLine Management.xls").Activate

End Sub

Can this be done without the user knowing it has happened.

and can a check be done so that excel does not try to open it again if it is already open.

Command Button To Send Data To Another Workbook

Feb 22, 2014

The data in 4 specific cells in C:UsersOfficeDropboxWB1 needs to (upon clicking command button) be copied to the next available blank cell in 4 specefic rows in C:usersOfficeDropboxWB2.

WB1 Specific Cells List
Sheet1!A4
Sheet1!Q7
Sheet1!N22
Sheet2!E3

Data from these cells are to be copied to the rows listed below respectively.

WB2 Destination Rows (Next available blank row)
Sheet1! Row B
Sheet1! Row D
Sheet1! Row F
Sheet1! Row J

I gather from reading other posts that sending this data within the same WB is fairly easy, is it easy to do between WB's though as i must have seperate WB's?

Excel 2010 :: Command Button In Shared Workbook Not Working?

Sep 7, 2010

I am using Excel 2010. I am using a shared workbook that was originally created in Excel 2003. This workbook has a command button that is supposed to be clicked to open a userform. However, I cannot even click on the button when opening the shared form in Excel 2010. When the form is not shared, the button works fine.

I have no problems with the button when opening the shared form in 2003 or 2007.

Is there anything I can do to make the command button work while the form is shared and while using Excel 2010?

Excel 2007 :: ActiveX Controls Command Button Opening Worksheet In Same Workbook

Feb 6, 2014

I have a workbook with two worksheets, "Main" and "Control".

Both of them are with hidden tabs (unchecked "show sheet tabs").

On worksheet "Main" I have command button which opens worksheet "Control".

The assigned makro is: Sheets("Control").Select

The problem is: when I open "Control" and close after that the workbook, the next time when I open the workbook "Control" pops-up instead of "Main" even though I do not save it.

1. I need macro on "Main" which will allow me to open "Control".

2. Regardless I "Save" or "Don't Save" "Control" when selected and workbook is closed, to open the workbook always displaying worksheet "Main".

I use Excel 2007 (at home) & 2010 (at office).

User Forms Do Not Reset When Switched

Nov 28, 2006

I have 2 User forms which take their initial values from the same worksheet. One moves stock to another location, the other removes stock when it has been used.

When I use one of the forms on a different row, or switch to the other form it retains the last row's values until I click on the new worksheet row twice

How can I prevent this?

Private Sub CommandButton17_Click()
If UserForm5.Visible = True Then
Unload UserForm5
End If
If ActiveCell.Row = 1 Then
MsgBox "Cannot Use This Row, Choose A Different One"
Exit Sub
End If
UserForm4.Show vbModal
End Sub

Private Sub CommandButton18_Click()
If UserForm4.Visible = True Then
Unload UserForm4
End If
If ActiveCell.Row = 1 Then
MsgBox "Cannot Use This Row, Choose A Different One"
Exit Sub
End If
UserForm5.Show vbModal
End Sub
I won't post the form code here yet as both are quite large. Maybe someone has encountered this issue before?
