exporting the charts from Excel.
1) Copying the chart into Presentations and then exporting as either .png or .jpg
2) Exporting the image as an HTML page and then right-clicking on the image to copy-paste it elsewhere. This winds up as a .gif.
Format doesn't matter. No matter how I export it it always has the black around the "meat" of the chart. Thus all the axis information is destroyed (i.e. date and price)
Im creating a form with a spin box option - however when i run it in test I always get a black border around the arrows. Its anoying because I want to make the spinbox small and it overtakes the arrows. I looked everywhere in the properties but can't find where to turn it off. I saw the arrorw and background color but nothing about the border.
I have an workbook with pictures that are linked to external picture files, and they are placed in the workbook via macro. When I email the file to another computer and open it, the pics do not display and show an error:
The linked image cannot be displayed. The file may have been moved, renamed, or deleted, Verify that the link points to the correct file and location.
I would like to be able to save the workbook with the pictures in them (without having to archive them) so that I can open it and see them on another machine.
I'm trying to make a formula but are failing. This is the data:
Cells: a1= ant-gel a2= ant - gel a3 = size 1 - 6 a4 = size 1-6 a5 = book - 5 a6 = book-5 a7 = good book
I want a formula that displays "True" if cell contains a "-" symbol AND the dash symbol is surround on both sides by a number (a space can go between dash and number)
I want the results to go in column B
For example, if a1 contains a dash and dashes are surrounded on both sides by a number, then "TRUE", otherwise "FALSE.
When i add a month coloumn,Sparklines and Average coloumn should get updated automaticaly. Now this is not happening even if the data is in table format.I also want the graphs to be automaticaly updated.
I have a daily spreadsheet tracking sales. When I copy the cells to a new spreadsheet, alternate rows are filled with black. Even after selecting the black filled rows, I am unable to eliminate the black. I would simply like to "duplicate" the existing workbook. How can this be accomplished.
I currently have this code for counting commas in each cell in range giving me the total number of different points in the entire row. Here's the link to the original question as well.
Code: Sub Totals() Dim X As Long, Count As Variant Sheets("App Communication").Select For X = 3 To 59 Count = UBound(Split(Application.Trim(Replace(Replace(Application.Trim(Join(Application. _ Index(Cells(X, "E").Resize(, 57).Value, 1, 0), ",")), " ", "X"), ",", " ")))) + 1 Cells(X, "BJ").Value = Left(Count, CLng(Count)) Next End Sub
Now I am looking for a way to count the number of points that have been turned blue. Some times the text in the whole cell is turned blue, others just one or two of the points is turned blue.
When I return to a sheet by clicking on the tab of the sheet, the sheet is not immediately visible. When the sheet does become visible a cell has a black flashing background. Sometimes, but not always, the flashing cell is the activecell. Through the activate event of the sheet I attempt to make $A$1 the active cell:
I found this formula and it works great, but I need to count only items with black font. We use red font to identify lost items so don't want to count them as part of our inventory.
I have a document that has 634 rows, some rows with data in red and some rows with data in black. I only want the rows with data in red. How do I get rid of all the rows with data in black all at once? I don't want to go through the document line by line.
I am trying to put some charts into a report that is pivot table based. I have some code that will work if the pivot tables stay stagnic but the users may change the tables around so that could be an issue of new data. I have the following code where I changed the source to the pivot table name (general name because of numberous report possibilites). I have taken out the other charts because they are just a variation of the chart 1. I am crashing on the line with the * on it.
Sub UWTierChart() Dim oCell As Range Dim oChart As Chart Set ws_data = ActiveSheet 'Chart 1 Sheets(wsPT).Select Range("B21").Select
I am unable to unhide some rows on a sheet. Row 1 though 34 the row numbers are blue. After that row 65 and on are black. I can unhide columns but not the rows. By the way row 35 through 64 are missing or hidden. How do I unhide everything?
If B1 is “hello” I want B1:B6 background to change to green, and text to stay black But if B3 is “goodbye” I want this to override the above and make B1:B6 background white and text colour of B1:B2 and B4:B6 white (so the text in these cells seems to disappear).
I have large data sheets with blocks of blue-colored cells. I want to surround them with lavender-colored cells. Then I want to run a command to Clear Contents of all lavender-colored cells. Is this possible?
So first I have: Black-text blue-text blue blue Black-text blue-text blue blue Black-text
Then I want: Lavender Blue Blue Blue Lavender Blue Blue.................
When I try to copy formulas across do I get a little black plus-sign in the lower right corner of the cell, when I point to it. I can then drag the plus-sign to the the area where I want to copy the formula. This plus-sign has now disappeared.
I want the start and end times of the shift to turn black or red depending on whether the adjacent cell says "off" of "Hol" respectively. I have this working except for when I actually enter smething into these cell ie a shift, the cell turns black.
i want to searh from data sheet by writing a formule to black area.
We will write id number to yellow area.
When we write value to yellow area, the formule in black are will look column of " d ".
If it is " machinery" or " with lifting point " , the formule will search only according to id number.
If it is " lifting gear ", the formule will search according to id number and capacity simultaneously. And the value will be come up in black area from column of "a".
If there is no id number in data sheet, " no certificate no" will come up im black area.
All I want to do is color the numbers on both the primary and secondary axis. Primary i want the shade of blue below. Secondary I want the shade of green below. Only the primary axis part of the code does its job. The secondary axis remains black. The code does complete without errors. Excel 2010.
sub color_axis() ActiveChart.Axes(xlValue).TickLabels.Font.Color = RGB(38, 40, 118) ActiveChart.Axes(xlSecondary).TickLabels.Font.Color = RGB(0, 153, 0) end sub
So I have been playing around with the tab colors on my workbook and am trying to figure out the correlation between color brightness and the auto change from black text to white text. I've noticed that if the Green color value is higher, excel is more likely to use the black text. If Blue is high, white. Green takes precedence over Blue and Red is just kind of in its own world.how excel calculates this?
1. I added pictures(print screen-->mspaint-->cut existing part of the image-->paste into excel. In excel they are called "Pictures 01 thru Picture X" with the pull points all around. 2. I located them in specific cells of the grouped type with the (-) sign appears so the group of cells are in use 3. When I close the Group(+) of cells all the pictures are jumbled above the closed cells.
Question: Is there away to keep these pictures within those cells when closing the group, so they will not been see as well?
is you had two ratings, one bad, one good, could you make a differant picture show up for the differant ratings using an IF function or simmiler fuctions (So like if a 'dance rating' is bad if it is under 13 and is good over 13 then have a picture of John Travolta for good and a picture of a hippo for bad as a bit of a joke on a identinty card sort of thing)?
I know quite alot about exel and have tried to make my formular but as it is saved on the school server i can not acsess it until tomorrow but i will try and make that work and post it if it dose
I have imported and deleted several pictures into my worksheet. I want to re- name or re-order my pictures. Right now, a new pictures is name "picture 4" when there might only be two pictures in the sheet. I want to rename to say "picture 2" as I have a macro that calls for "picture 2" I know this should be simple, but I don't know how to do this.
