I would like to check a 4 column range to see if a particular number has been added to a range of number.
this is the formula that I wrote but it does not test beyond the 2nd column.

Does anyone have an different way of check for this?
I need to judge whether a number falls between a range of 2 numbers.
Ex:
A1=332.024 B1=349.956
C1=335.23 So D1 must give 1 (since between the range) else 0.
If C1=332.02 D1=0
If C1=349.9566 D1=0
If C1=332.024 D1=1
If C1=349.956 D1=1

I have a formula that counts if a date range is present. However I need to change it to count another column only if that date range is present. For example a17 a50000 the user will enter the date of the order. and in column B has the order number. I want the formula to count the order numbers for a data range in column A.
Here is what I have but it is counting the dates in col A not the order numbers in B?

Below, there are two procedures. "SimpleCalc" and "SimpleCalc2". I first wrote SimpleCalc2, but it isn't working, so I worked around the error by writing SimpleCalc, which selects a cell and moves around by offset. I personally find it hard to read and error prone as I develop more logic around it.

I've been trying various syntax for an hour now and I cannot figure out how to reference a range of complete columns by column number.
I know this works

But the number of columns is dynamic, so I don't know which one is the end. So I have the column number but cannot figure out how to reference the column range by number. I have tried versions of the code below but they all give different errors. This one is Run-time error 1004 Application-defined or object-defined error.

I WANT it to search all of column A for the highest number in the range (which will change daily to a new high number above the highest currently), and return the value in column 4 (column D) that corresponds to that value from column A. This is what I have, but it is not working, it is giving me the number (1) in Cell A800 (which is the lowest valued number in my range. need to understand the easiest way of highlighting the highest and lowest number in a range of cells several times in the same column.
As I said the cell range will be in the same column. So highlight the highest number green and lowest number red in cells a3 to a9 and then repeat the same process again in cells a11 to a17 and so on.the cell references are an example.

This does not seem to be working for me. I need to check one number against another and if the one cell is larger then the other subtract it or just the reverse.
I have a list of numbers that I have to concatenate with another number depending on if it falls within the parameters and I don't know how to do a lookup on that. Something else to throw into the mix, there are some ranges that shouldn't be there and return nothing so from 40-55, there shouldn't be a result.
also, there are some that are just one number (56 gets 789 but then at 57 it goes back to abc)

Example: I have a list of data items which give the following info:

ID# Group Low# High#
1001 food 12345 13960

2006 soap 33183 36591
Such a list is many hundred of lines long.
Then I have other data which provides a Group ID and a product number, which number is likely to between the Low# and High# in the data list.
What I want is a formula to check whether the product number is between the Low# and the High#, AND that the Group matches.
Example: the data being supplied is Soap 28332. So, I want a formula to check through the data list, and if 28332 is between the Low# and the High# AND if the group SOAP matches, then give back the correct ID number.
Thus for the data Soap 28332, I would want the answer to be 1003, which is the ID # for soap in the given range.
A data listing of Food 73776 should give back the ID 2005, etc, etc. This list of data needing the correct ID# is thousands of lines long.
Thus I need a formula to check that the given number is within the low and high #, and that the group designation matches. If so, then give back the correct ID#.
