I need to judge whether a number falls between a range of 2 numbers.

Ex: A1=332.024 B1=349.956 C1=335.23 So D1 must give 1 (since between the range) else 0. If C1=332.02 D1=0 If C1=349.9566 D1=0 If C1=332.024 D1=1 If C1=349.956 D1=1

I have a formula that counts if a date range is present. However I need to change it to count another column only if that date range is present. For example a17 a50000 the user will enter the date of the order. and in column B has the order number. I want the formula to count the order numbers for a data range in column A. Here is what I have but it is counting the dates in col A not the order numbers in B?

I have this list with articles at work. It looks like this:

1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 etc

I wish to find out if any number in a column appear more then 3 times, and if it does, return that number to be. Is this possible with a formula? I've tried, but didn't succeed.

I need help to this : When i type a number to a cell and press enter , i want to check if this number exist in a range of cells (in sheet 2) , and if exists , excel show me a message. Actually i use it for my *** club. Number is the client code. When i writte 50 in a cell , i need from excel to check if this client own me money , and show me some message..

I have a column that I want to check if a column contains any instances of particular values. If any are present I want it to return a 1, if not then return a zero.

I'm trying to write a code that calculates 2nd column based on 3rd column's number or vice versa based on the condition set on the 1st column. Below, there are two procedures. "SimpleCalc" and "SimpleCalc2". I first wrote SimpleCalc2, but it isn't working, so I worked around the error by writing SimpleCalc, which selects a cell and moves around by offset. I personally find it hard to read and error prone as I develop more logic around it.

I'm trying to develop more function based on this code, so I need to make it neat and flexible. what I'm doing wrong in SimpleCalc2? Or do you have any suggestion to improve the code "SimpleCalc"? I'm using Excel 2003.

Sub SimpleCalc()

Dim SimpleMethodRng, SimpleMethod As String, i As Integer

In the following code, in select statement Type & Type1 & Type2 defines queue number. And now in sheet2 , there is a list of Queue names and corresponding queue numbers. So When the data gets copied from Access to Excel using the code below then i want the code that will check the queue number and replace it with queue name in Sheet1.

But the number of columns is dynamic, so I don't know which one is the end. So I have the column number but cannot figure out how to reference the column range by number. I have tried versions of the code below but they all give different errors. This one is Run-time error 1004 Application-defined or object-defined error.

I'm still confused regarding a complex formula - rather n00b. Using Office 2007 with XP. Can't figure out with help or previous questions.

The following is what I would like this formula to accomplish. Picture included below.

Take all the values of column of C and add them together if and only if the corresponding date value in column A is during the month of January (and February, March, and so forth).

I have named ranges in my excel sheet.I wish to however find out the column number from each of the names and use it as a variable for later calculations. How do I do this?

I WANT it to search all of column A for the highest number in the range (which will change daily to a new high number above the highest currently), and return the value in column 4 (column D) that corresponds to that value from column A. This is what I have, but it is not working, it is giving me the number (1) in Cell A800 (which is the lowest valued number in my range. The numbers range in value from 1 to 762 with none repeating (they are sequential). The formula I have is : =+VLOOKUP(MAX(A76:A2000),A76:I2000,4)

I have a long (~42,000) list of dates and times (some including zeros). I would like to name these ranges and use a formula to find the last entry in each column. I know the lists will never go over 45,000.

The data is in this format:

1/31/14 23:58:00 1/30/14

[Code]....

The data will not always be consecutive, so I imagine the criteria would be something like (if there were such a thing) "ISDATE" or something of the sort.

How would I write a formula to dynamically calculate the row number of the last date or time in the column? (In this case, it would be 6.)

I am having troubles finding a row number, using it to specify a range and then counting the cells containg values in that range.

This is what I have

Code: Private Sub TextBox1_Change() Dim test1 As String Dim FoundRom As Range Dim i as String Dim abc1 As Range Dim Core1 As String

test1 = TextBox1.Value

[Code] ........

I am thinking that I have my "Dim"'s wrong or something but I cant figure out how to define the range including the found row number and then count the number of cells containing data within that range...

What im trying to do is this..I read this number and check for the first number with the 2nd number. If its greater then i will swap it. Im trying to do this so that my number can be rearranged as 456789.

need to understand the easiest way of highlighting the highest and lowest number in a range of cells several times in the same column.

As I said the cell range will be in the same column. So highlight the highest number green and lowest number red in cells a3 to a9 and then repeat the same process again in cells a11 to a17 and so on.the cell references are an example.

So I have several separate sets of numbers in the same column.

Please see attached sample worksheet. Column A will be generated by the user manually.

I'm looking for a way in VBA to have A1:D20 in Sheet2 copied and pasted in the "Bank Reconciliation" Sheet based on how many "Markets" there are in Column A. Then, once that's complete to have A22:D30 (the smaller box in Sheet2) copied and pasted directly below those results.

I have what the macro would hopefully generate to the right in "Bank Reconciliation" (B6:E54) as an example. So if there's a market in A1, copy and paste the box to B6. If there's a market in A2, copy and paste the box directly below the first (B26) etc. etc. until it's done, then paste the smaller box directly below whatever the macro generates.

make this formula more concise and shorter, it was design to check a numbers in a range to see if any of them falls into a particular range.

=IF(SUM((COUNTIF(Fund,">11999")-(COUNTIF(Fund,">12999"))),(COUNTIF(Fund,">21099")-(COUNTIF(Fund,">28729"))),(COUNTIF(Fund,">28730")-(COUNTIF(Fund,">33999"))),(COUNTIF(Fund,">58999")-(COUNTIF(Fund,">59999"))),(COUNTIF(Fund,">82000")-(COUNTIF(Fund,">84999"))),(COUNTIF(FUND1,">11999")-(COUNTIF(FUND1,">12999"))),(COUNTIF(FUND1,">21099")-(COUNTIF(FUND1,">28729"))),(COUNTIF(FUND1,">28730")-(COUNTIF(FUND1,">33999"))),(COUNTIF(FUND1,">58999")-(COUNTIF(FUND1,">59999"))),(COUNTIF(FUND1,">82000")-(COUNTIF(FUND1,">84999"))))>0,"ATTACHMENT E IS REQUIRED","")

and if the any of the number fall into the range it will print the message, "Attachment is Required"

This does not seem to be working for me. I need to check one number against another and if the one cell is larger then the other subtract it or just the reverse.

I have a list of numbers that I have to concatenate with another number depending on if it falls within the parameters and I don't know how to do a lookup on that. I currently am using a complex if/or/and statement which is too dificult to debug and extremely complex like this: if(OR(AND(a>=1,a<=10),AND(a>=20,a<=30)),concatenate(a,"123"),if(OR(AND(a>10,a<20),(a>30,a<40))),conc atenate(a,"456"),"a is not in the parameter")

is there a way to do a lookup for this?

Something else to throw into the mix, there are some ranges that shouldn't be there and return nothing so from 40-55, there shouldn't be a result.

also, there are some that are just one number (56 gets 789 but then at 57 it goes back to abc)

I'm writing a function that sums the values in a range of cells but some are errors due to my formula's. any way i can check if a value is a number in VBA?

Is there way in Excel VBA to check if a string contains a number, and then return TRUE or FALSE. Numbers can been anywhere in the string. See example below.

Then I have other data which provides a Group ID and a product number, which number is likely to between the Low# and High# in the data list.

What I want is a formula to check whether the product number is between the Low# and the High#, AND that the Group matches.

Example: the data being supplied is Soap 28332. So, I want a formula to check through the data list, and if 28332 is between the Low# and the High# AND if the group SOAP matches, then give back the correct ID number.

Thus for the data Soap 28332, I would want the answer to be 1003, which is the ID # for soap in the given range.

A data listing of Food 73776 should give back the ID 2005, etc, etc. This list of data needing the correct ID# is thousands of lines long.

Thus I need a formula to check that the given number is within the low and high #, and that the group designation matches. If so, then give back the correct ID#.
